Guys, Rudel and I tried it and seems we might have solved our issues. Just for the sake of being sure, can you also try the file in the attachment ? Unpack it and put it in following directory: DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\MIG-21bis\Textures\MiG-21_Cockpit You should have this file there already, so just replace it with downloaded attachement. Also, in the same directory please delete file named: MiG21Bis_CP_Gauges_RoughMet.bmp Report back results please. MiG21Bis_CP_Gauges_RoughMet.rar

Hello, can you specify conditions ? Did you just download patch ? Do you use any mods ? Was it with additional lights on or off ? Also, please be so kind to provide all logs. I've tried to replicate it, so I just downloaded open beta and on my side everything works correct as you can see in attachments. Edit, confirmed, whenever sun is not casting any light on gauges, they turn black. I've already informed Rudel, he is on it.

Opinions ? Opinions are not a part of bug reporting. We've given a specific procedure in last update to report bugs: Based on your first posts (so before the above procedure) I asked for verification and as stated in latest update we took some time to verify it. So far nothing in this regard changed since they were first modeled, especially around mentioned by you guys date of 2016. Missiles were corrected in August 2016, but that concerns R-60M heatseekers and it was conducted according to ED guidance. There are variables outside of our module that may have changed, but at this point we need a solid report on: - what is wrong with specific missiles, - what should be correct.

I checked it today, there is no difference in our and ED R-60M since we are using ED one.

I think you got a wrong link, document you've linked comes from 2018 while document quoted comes from 2005. That should be the one.

The update to cockpit lights was already provided to ED: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3674850&postcount=10 We can only wait for the next patch, since its not in our hands to force any updates. Like everyone else we wait for every Wendsday impatiently. As for why it was broken in the first place, it was nothing on our side since we did not change the code. ED most recently changed some variables and this led to bug you are experiencing. We've fixed it and new files will come with next patch. And same thing actually relates to missiles you claim to be incorrectly performing. We've so far investigated code and nothing changed on our side since they were first modeled. So what is left to investigate is environment changes. You see, things that you call "basic stuff" are just as prone to bugs as any other elements without us changing anything, but ED changing things somewhere in the game. We can only respond as fast as we discover where some changes took place. In case of lights it was less than a day, in other cases it may take significantly longer.

I'm sure Rudel will come up with more complete response, but to give a basic answer, this change will improve quite a bit state of things for VR users. Original cockpit was made for 1.2 version and while textures were updated, model itself did not take into account VR users since back then VR was far from popular.

Rudel did a bit of magic by correcting canopy glass normal map texture. Not sure what further feedback you are looking for :)

I dunno, before 1080Ti I had Fury X which was amazing GPU back when released. I also have in a secondary PC RX 480. I cant recall having any major issues with drivers for ... years. Really, its Nvidia drivers that give me a headache this days. As for supposedly inferior hardware ... whats the difference ? There were periods when AMD/ATI was superior to Nvidia and for many years they were on par with their GPU's. Were people buying them ? Not even close in numbers to Nvidia. People only want AMD to release new high end hardware to make Nvidia cut prices so they can get Nvidia hardware. Personally I think AMD is not coming back to super high end. New RTG leader said they want to, but doesnt seem like a reasonable move to invest so much when chances of competing with Nvidia in sales of high end market are none.

Well, its hard to determine cause of crash without any log. We dont get those crash reports that are sent to ED directly.

Overclocked 1080ti can get over 10000 as well, so if this is over clocked 2080 (as they suggest in that article) then it's not impressive at all. For similar price to gtx 1080ti you get similar performance but with less vram. Makes no reason to swap for me.
