  1. I would maybe look into TAW or the 104th if they're recruiting.
  2. Are you familiar with TacView? The free version will show you everything you need for correct replay of all phases of flight, as it saves unit positions vs. re-running the simulation as .trk files do. Not quite as pretty to look at as DCS but all the good stuff is there.
  3. That's a bit of a ridiculous stance to take in my opinion. If replays didnt exist, as they don't in 99% of games, that wouldn't even be a point of discussion. If you miss flying off the carrier in VR, do it. It all works just fine while you're actually flying.
  4. How "serious" of a community are you looking for? Brevity, procedures, and radio simulation programs or just a group of people to fly with? When you say "modern air combat" do you mean aerial operations in a modern environment, or modern air-to-air combat specifically, or are you referring to the "Modern Air Combat" pack from ED using simple systems models of aircraft from the 50s onward? Do you want a PVP group or PVE co-op missions?
  5. Correct, as a modification of core game files it will cause you to fail the MP integrity check on servers which enforce it. If you're hosting a private server with your own group integrity check can be disabled but most competitive PVP servers use it due to fear of people cheating and stealing the killz0rs. I'd recommend using JSGME or OVGME so you can easily turn the mod on and off.
  6. I'd be very interested in that fargo. I'd been considering trying to make that happen myself for some time.
  7. The flight model of the AIM-7 has been updated. Flight model and guidance updates are still in progress for other missiles including the AIM-120.
  8. CCIP and CCRP are combined into a single attack mode in the Su-25..your dive angle must be sufficient in order for the CCIP reticle to show the fall line and POI. I believe the magic number is somewhere around 40 degrees but that is a hazy half remembered tidbit. ;) Just roll into the attack with a nice steep dive and you should see the fall line appear.
  9. There is not an option that currently exists for that I'm afraid. Your best bet is either Baaz's suggestion of UNIT'S SPEED HIGHER THAN or using RADIO ITEM ADD FOR GROUP to create an F10. radio option for pilots to activate once they're ready to roll.
  10. There is no Vietnam map. Those are all in Caucases.
  11. The speed should be irrelevant. We've had 4 clients on the deck simultaneously with both moving and stationary carriers at this point. No static objects.

  13. In vanilla DCS they sink to the bottom of the ocean. With SUNTSAG's mod they float on the surface about waist deep.
  14. Group based triggers will work fine in single player or as the host of a multiplayer session, but they 100% will not work for multiplayer clients. This has been borked since DCS 1.5 unfortunately. Trust me, save yourself some grief before you get too deep into the design and have to spend 45 minutes reconfiguring all your triggers. :)
  15. Another bit of friendly advice - use UNIT level triggers vs. GROUP level triggers whenever possible (i.e. UNIT INSIDE ZONE, UNIT DEAD etc.) as clients are not detected at the group level in MP. Group level triggers are fine for AI aircraft/vehicles.
  16. Have a look at SUNTSAG's troop water placement mod. This allows the little manses to swim

  18. Yes, but only in single player with a "Player" aircraft. In this case you can use the COCKPIT ARGUMENT WITHIN RANGE (or something like that, can't remember the exact verbiage) to detect when the canopy opens. The values will vary from airframe to airframe.
  19. Use multiple single-ship groups when designing for multiplayer; a number of things (including this) have issues with multiple clients in a single group.
  20. I don't believe you can filter by coalition unless you restrict airframes so that there isn't any overlap. Not a bad idea though.
  21. Hi HoYa, Part 1 should contain missions 1-4, part 2 should contain missions 5-8, part 3 should contain missions 9-12. Be sure to grab the "v198 for DCS 1.5" versions. People tell me everything is still working in 2.5. A little shameless self promotion here, but if you like An Eye for an Eye, you should check out The Georgian War, a collaborative effort by myself and Baltic Dragon. I made the Eye for an Eye campaign about 3 months after I started playing DCS and have come a long way with respect to the mission editor since then...also we had more than one voice actor so the VOs aren't quite so silly :)
  22. Try looking at Dubai vs. Tehran...there's a couple hours difference it looks like.
  23. Fixed for all cockpits they were already a part of; a couple of 3rd party modules and FC3 aircraft were having issues. We'll see raindrops in the A-10 and KA-50 when they get their cockpit update, some time later this year per ED.
  24. Even if you keep the unit names, unfortunately the native function will only work with the inital group. However, if you keep the group names, you can use the group.getByName function to check whether the RedSochiCounterAttack group exists in the mission.
  25. Congratulations on authoring the most arrogant comment I've ever read in my years here. You hold on to that feeling.
