  1. I feel that the boundaries of movement (with TrackIR) in the cockpit is very restricted in the F-86 compared to other modules. In the A-10C you can really lean in close and look at the gauges. I feel that it is a problem that you can't look down or lean forward much at all in the F-86. It makes it very hard to operate for example the armament panel. I feel that this must be a pretty easy fix. There's really no need for a boundary box at all as long as the virtual head doesn't make contact with the panel.
  2. I had a shot at this mission the other night, and when I approached the base I got a radio call that a chopper on freq 131 MHz would aid in finding the enemies on the run. However, I couldn't find any way to communicate with this asset in the radio menu. What am I doing wrong?
  3. Thanks for the reply, that's good to know. It was a good mission, and easy enough when I realized I had to actually locate the bunkers with the TGP and not just rely on the JTAC coordinates. Progress has been slow with a baby in the house and all, but now I think I have time to fly the next mission already tonight! :)
  4. Never mind. For some reason when I continued I still got a response from Anvil.
  5. So I blew up the bunkers in operation Hammerfall and I was then asked to use the F10 menu to call Anvil to proceed. I did that, only problem was that I used the UHF radio and not the FM. Will I not be able to complete the mission now? I can't seem to call Anvil again and repeat the message on the correct radio...
  6. Very cool! I see that there's quite alot differences compared to the version we have in the game. Is the cockpit in the photo from an earlier or later version of Mig-21?
  7. Yeah, this is what the "stock" campaign should have been. Every module should have a campaign this great!
  8. I agree, but I don't think Leatherneck or the MiG-21 have anything to be ashamed about. It's regarded as one of the best modules in DCS by many people. And Leatherneck is the developer that has most interesting things going on in my mind. A bigger problem is developers like Belsimtek who seem to move on to new products far too early. F-86F was released quite a while ago and still there's no full manual, no training missions and no campaign. Edit: The above may be a bit off-topic though...
  9. I'm having trouble performing ground attack. A couple of examples are the ground attack instant action mission and the single mission "Quicksand". The problem is that I often get shot down. What do you do to avoid being shot down? Dropping from as high altitude as possible with steep dive? It seems like they hit me very easily... Also, how do you actually destroy the convoy in the instant action mission with just two drops?
  10. One question regarding this mission: Am I supposed to enter the "scan area" and contact JTAC so that he gives me coordinates to all targets and the bunkers, or am I supposed to first find and take out the SA-9 myself before contacting JTAC and getting the coordinates for the bunkers?
  11. I agree, if they pull this off (which I'm sure they will) then all other third party devs will have to step up their game. The recent thread about a job opening for a mission designer shows that they take that aspect seriously too.
  12. Thanks, Hammerfall Pt.2 is now completed! Btw, there's a job opening at Leatherneck: :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=156566
  13. I will happily look for any bugs while I play this amazing campaign. Don't listen to the haters. As far as I'm concerned The enemy within is the best thing that has happened to the A-10C in DCS. Worth every penny!
  14. Regarding mission Hammerfall Patrol:
  15. It makes me sad to see all the whining. We have to accept that we play a game where the developers don't have resources like EA or any of the other big players. Things are going to take time. My own view on the matter is that LN do a hell of a job and I plan to support them by at least purchasing the F-14 and Viggen. Keep up the good work!
  16. Now I've completed the first four missions, and I must say that you learn alot doing these and you also realize where you have to do some more training. Mission four made it very obvious that I have to do some more training on dropping MK-82s and also my night landnings could be improved. :) Btw, markpoints are great to mark up targets before going in!
  17. Great, thanks for the help!
  18. A quick question. In mission 3 there was some line "bulls 38 for 32" or something like that. What does that mean?
  19. A question about mission 3:
  20. In mission 2 I made it back to base and performed a landing with a damaged front gear wheel. I was then stuck on the runway and could not taxi to the parking area. Does that count as a fail? It seemed like it did since I couldn't proceed to mission 3. :)
  21. Thanks, that's good to know!
  22. I've just completed the first mission. Great build-up! One question: how does the campaign react to a failed mission. Does it go forward either way or can you do the mission again?
  23. Purchased! Been waiting for this and I have never played any of the missions before. I'm really hoping this is what I feel have been missing in DCS: a really good campaign. The A-10C may not be my favorite aircraft, but it doesn't matter. Content is king! :)
  24. Holy crap, that was amazing!
