[REPORTED] Release Tone Functioning Incorrectly with CCRP
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Shrike88's topic in Resolved Bugs
Sorry about that everyone. I made a mistake and incorrectly labeled and moved this one into resolved. -
And that way for everyone to see what has or has not been addressed is through how I am labeling threads in the forums. Im also not one to close or limit threads so everyone should speak freely about the issue until a solution has been determined to resolve it. Then its said and done. I asked when I first got here what would everyone like and everyone agreed things needed to be cleaned up but not entirely erased. Im not deleting things. If there are persistent issues then they can be brought back up in a new post with the correct information in them that I can vouch for and verify through my system I am using. This way I can be held accountable for why it " hasnt been looked at" or " is still there". Its also quite difficulty for me to go through 300 posts on my own in my spare time when they arent relevant rather than to group them all as one OLD BUGS folder and make it so that if there is anything glaring then it will pop up as new or relevant. Also trying to get answers from users who may or may not still be active on the forums presents its own set of issues because until i can confirm behaviour with the OP I wont move anything forward unless there is a resounding amount of people who confirm what the OP is showing.

NP, I know its hard to get like 5 different .trks so I'm making an exception for you to not have to repost a new set of trks. I have some people looking into this now

[SOLVED] No CCIP Target Designation with Rockets
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Schmidtfire's topic in Resolved Bugs
Can you post a trk with that issue isolated please. I cant chjeck right now but perhaps you can try with the DMT alone, no TPOD, try with the TPOD DMT switch off and making sure you DESG a steer point first and see if it pops up. If its still not working in any configuration then ofc it will need to be added. -
Problem is being looked at further to see if this is an ED issue or exists within our module only. MArking as REPORTED

[ED MODEL ISSUE] Lamp Posts - Point Track breaks lock.
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in Resolved Bugs
Aslo "game breaking is a little over dramatic in this instance dont you agree? -
[ED MODEL ISSUE] Lamp Posts - Point Track breaks lock.
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in Resolved Bugs
That would be the ED issue, nothing we can do about lamp posts. That problem exists IRL too, the pilots have to account for it and re-evaluate their attack strategy. -
[USER ERROR] TPOD Bind controls Left and Right
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in Resolved Bugs
Make sure its a clean install because I cannot verify anything with mods. If its a problem with the game then it should be consistent, if its happening once and a while then its most likely a user error. Let me know. -
I need a trk. I dont seem to have an issue with it.

[RESOLVED] Automatic Startup behaving differently in VR mode
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to netizensmith's topic in Resolved Bugs
So you have determined this was an issue with how you set the jet and the mods you were suing to launch DCS? -

merged your topic with this one. Please make sure to check current threads as well as previous resolved threads to make sure you arent creating another thread on a duplicate issue -
[USER ERROR] TPOD Bind controls Left and Right
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in Resolved Bugs
For some controller types for instance it will read a sensor moving in a direction and assume that its a certain direction. I have found this with my Saitek Proflight Pedals that some planes I have to IBNVERT the axis for my brakes. I also found this to be an issue when i did my Delta Sim slew upgrade for the TM WH that some TDC slew had to be inverted. This is not a testing issue, its simply an issue with the difference in equipment between each user. My sujestion is to box the INVERTED option in the AXIS TIUNE box in the AXIS section of the drop menu. Let me know if that solves the problem -
I appreciate the feedback on this however I will continue to operate this way as the team feels it makes workflow easier and multiple people have combined about the forum being cluttered and that this helps them to find existing bugs easier. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

Most of these are years old and out of date. It clutter the forums and does not give me a clear indication of what exists at this time. As a report is made I make sure it is intact a bug and all the evidence is there to support it. During that time I label it as INVESTIGATING. Once all of the necessary info is present, I then add the bug report itself and my own notes plus the trk or log file into our internal tracker for the team to see and begin working on when they get to it. I then label the thread as REPORTED. This way everything is clean and organized, no duplicates are present and all parties have a clear indication of where things are at. Outside of these ill usually add titles like TRK FILE REQ. or USER ERROR and make a post explaining what I need next but on every forum I have the rules and requirements needed so I do not have to explain each and every time. The user should read these and check that a similar report has not already been added prior to making a post. I know this is in an ideal and perfect world but does not always occur. As for showing you and conferring what information I have in a 'spreadsheet' with you, thats quite unessessary. I have made it quite clear if you are concerned about an issue or have questions to ask in the relevant thread or to reach out to me personally. The community does not need to proof read our own internally work to make sure we're doing things the way they think it should be done. Tell us about problems for sure, but don't expect to start managing what the team is doing. Thats Prowler job as the owner and subject to what the team feels is necessary or what they are able to accomplish. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

If thats the case then please attach a new trk to highlight the issue. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

Thats alright. DCS is complex and frustrating, we all know that. But we need to step away and breathe sometimes, ask others for help. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

You make a very good point. Think of it this way though. The longer we work on and perfect it, the better the end product will be. Slowly adding things into the module will make sure all the systems are perfected and work together. I look forward to all the teeny tiny bugs you guys find in the future. Well bud, if you're having issues im sure there are better ways to go about it than going out and calling it a POS. Hop on our Discord, find me, PM me and ill find a time to sit down and show you the ropes. Perhaps its that you aren't doing something correctly that is leading to the inconsistencies you're having. Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk
