As a workaround I just bound the standard "\" to close the menue. That way I only need one additional button. Open with my Comm1/2 button, close with my new "\" button.

No, you can't cancel comms menue. Only way is F12 or with mouse. I don't use easy comms too.

I still can't see a problem with the video... Virtually everyone who is interested in the F-4 here in DCS knew that Heatblur offers an F-4E and not an F-4G. It was a cool promotional video. No more and no less.

I'll throw out my hat and say that the majority of dcs players prefer modern versions. You can see that very clearly whenever something new is announced and a lot of people ask if you could get this or that. An example: The current F-14A/B is absolutely gorgeous BUT when are we getting the F-14D?! The M-2000C is great, but a 2000-5 would be even better. The F-4E is announced and many call for a different version, etc... But basically it doesn't really matter what a developer brings, we're almost never satisfied with what we have and always want something we don't have...

Yes, you can set a lower altitude. Since the autopilot always uses the current speed as a reference and wants to maintain it, you have to reduce thrust in order to sink.
