    Hi, I thinked much time about these theme and I have basically two options: - Option one is to deinstall LockOn on and kick the box away - Option two is to pack all my frustration into this thread Well- Both options are bullshit but I dont want to silence my feelings even more time! At first: I think that it is okay that we can upgrade some textures, 3D models, and modify some payloads if there is a way to control all of these changes and to give all the same possibility as well. I`m very thanksfull about people who construct models, sounds and textures for free in sometimes very very good quality. But: Some modifys aren`t good! I mean speacially the fact that it is possible to read out LUA-files and show it in a seperate programm simultanly! Same as for modify vectors of missiles, angles of RADAR areas and increase or decreasing limits of gravitation of missiles and aircrafts! To change all these facts are simply cheating! What to hell is the intention of these .... ideotes to write programms to see more them all the other members?! Is it a nice victory to kill other pilots with unfair methods?! These guys are better pilots if they are able to write new programms to read out the enemy?! So for examble: I saw a Su-27 pilot shooted a ET missile without any lock about a range about 10clicks visually in a 3 a clock position from low to high. Before the missile impact- the other player quitted imediatelly. I saw these procedeure tree time in a half hour from different pilots. All of them joined the game 1 minute later again!!! I wasn`t able to lock an enemy target with my Su27 RADAR witch had a range about 20 clicks hot and level at some servers! I saw pilots wich pressed the print key a lot while a missile was on the way! I saw Flanker pilots wich intercepted a medium flying target for range about 100km! The answers allways the same: "My LockOn was frozen- sorry" (After quitting imediatelly) "Lag" "I saw you visually" (About a range of 100clicks?!) "G-Limit works here" " locked you with EOS" (frontal about 50 km?!" "I saw the missile :) " (from six a clock low?!) As for the future I won`t join any servers wich using modifications. Graphic mods should be okay- the rest is bullshit! Who is not able to use the given options by LOMAC can switch to other simulations ... Maybe. Some of some called "modifications" simply destroy LockOn and hurt the community!!! "possible badest" pilot of the world of LOMAC, TOMCATZ
  2. Hi, you can do following: Open the "Meinit.xlm" with normal Windows Editor and search for "F-16C". You`ll find some datas about the weight, fuel and so stoff like that. Somewere in these datas you can find the entree: " human cockpit:"no" ". Switch that "no" into a "yes" and thats all. You can do it for all aircrafts but you allways have the thrust of two Su27 engines and the weight of the aircraft you want to fly. So specially the F-16 will have to much power :crazy:. But well- Mach2.2 in 1000feet level trough the mountains...

  6. Thanks! Yes- So far I know Mitch did it. He made all the fantastic textures and he modifyed my model with better lights and arrestor hook. Hope, Mitch read this out... Mitch textures looks brilliant and makes the model looks pretty good I think Best wishes, TOM

  8. Hello, hm...:huh: don`t know. Centerline (all tanks) and AAQ13 LASER pod and AAQ14 navigation pod still using the same texture. In your pics I see that these texture don`t work only. All the others still okay. Did you renamed the texture right and copyed it into "LockOn/Bazar/TempTextures" ? It looks like that LOMAC didn`t was able to find and load the right texture- Maybe wrong name or not in the right folder... Search for following bitmap in your TempTexture folder, please: "StrikeE_LANTIRN.bmp" Otherwise rename "StrikeE_Zubehör.bmp" into: "StrikeE_LANTIRN.bmp" and copy it into your TempTexture folder. Best wishes, TOM PS: Be sure you installed the new "F-15.lom" into "LockOn/Bazar/World/Shapes" folder- Thats very importent. I forgot to explain were to install the LOM- file.
  9. Thanks, thanks a lot. Well I`m not pretty sure. I have to bring some space between me and some of my projects. Its hard to explain that in English but I`m pretty sure everybody will know what I mean. You work on for examble a F-15 and you work on it and work and you make some lightly mistakes course all models are real hand worked. And after a periode of time you assoziate your wrong shape as right shape. But if you make a pause and take a look about it after some time you see all your mistakes in seconds and able to handle it. As I sad: hard to explain that in English. Thats the reason I feel more as artist them constructor... Shortly : Absolutely no idea. Hope its okay, best wishes, TOM
  10. Oh .... sh:censored: . Yes - That should be possible ...Hm... We can try following: Please replace the "F-15.LOM" with this one here and rename "StrikeE_Zubehör.bmp" into: "StrikeE_LANTIRN.bmp". I hope it will work...
  11. Hi, Puh- Thats really one of the complicatest models to rebuild. At first to make the right fuselage- Specially the canopy, gun and intake section. Next level is to animate the complicate "gear up", "gear down" sequency. I tryed to rebuild it in the past- thats really hard stoff. I wish you good luck and the maximum of fun and joy.   12. Hi, Please investigate if MODMAN installed "StrikeE_Zubehör.BMP" into "TempTexture" folder. Didn`t? -No Problem. Dezip it manually and copy these Texture into "LockOn/Bazar/TempTexture" folder. My very best wishes, TOM
  13. Hi 4c, many thanks for your good critics. The reason I didn`t animate the rudders and intakes was simply that I believed that noone will realize it as well. Although I builded them as seperated useable parts- So I think I have to animate these sections. As for the colours: I startet with original photos about StrikeE`s over Iraq and Afghanistan . I cutted a small part of coulor away from these photos and used it as backround for my textures. The result was a complete desaster `course in LOMAC it looks like "black". So I had test with different notes to got it nearly the real look. To make it darker should be a simple operation. The biggest problem is really the smoke and afterburner course the positions are hardcoded and I`m not be able to set them right. So my only option was to make the afterburner neutral - Well, I`de never like the burner in LOMAC. I really hope that ED will make it possible to set that thinks some day.   15. Thanks very much :) I use 3DsMax7-thats all. Some points to the downsload site: Its full of marketing promotion, in german only but free. There is a counter in the middle of the screen wich start. After 12 seconds the numbers of counter become to the donload link. Click it right and give the path you want to download it- thats all. Its a complete MODMAN file- So easy to handle but save your "meinit.xlm" before, please. I rebuilded the AIM-9Sidewinder and the AIM120AMRAAM as low poly models. Now the AIM9 for examblehave 269triangles and one texture about 1024x1024. Thats good for the performance. Here I have an Ingame shot: Fahrenheit starts to rebuild the GBU-15 for new course the LOMAC is a little bit undermodeled. Is there someone out there who can post some pics about that BS GBU-15, please? Think that should be the best target:) My very best wishes, TOM
  16. Hello, Nice pic- thank you. My intention after I started was to follow strictly all the blueprints I had for comparisons but it was an mistake. The same old story one more time. I droped the nose down a little bit- Now it looks be right. One basic point: My philosophie is a little bit complicate so I can try to explain it. Yes, of course I`m able to make my models much smoother them they are now. But the point is (and thats my absolutely personally position) that a model isn`t good if I used hundred thousands of polys. The maintain reason is following: Most users of LOMAC have relative good hardware. But the problem is that the generally structure of processores not changed the last years. And LOMAC wasn`t concepted for more them one processor. So the load of work witch a normally computer can handle isn`t much more as years before. If anybody concept and build a aircraft, tank, missile or whatever, he have to limit the polycount. Otherwise its sure that the player will get problems with his frames while he fly. So for examble: I downloaded an Su27 (not 3GO) and installed it. I edited me and 3 wingmans in a mission over kerch and started: The result was a shutdown and my pc restarted. I searched for the mistakes and founded the failure: The Su27 builder used 270.000 polys for one fighter only! Thats the same load as like as a battle with over hundreds of fighters in the air in doghfights. Okay- the model was nice and very smothfull- but unuseable. In area of graphic cards we have much more possibilitys as years before. In 2002 (most members used DirectX8.1!) a card about 1GB RAM was simply unpayable. But now it is and so we can use much more detailed textures. So my philosophie is a good balance between polycounts and textures for a good and realistic look- And I think: Thats the real art of modding. Yes- A round and complete look is nice but I will fly with more them one fighter. Yup Borchi- We have to train the last maneuver we did with Raven. :) So- Here I have V1.5. It have some ideas and modifications just like nose, lights, lighten monitores, fixes rear pilot animations... Please make sure that you save "meinit.xlm" and "Shapes" folder before installing this mod!!!!!   17. Hey, thanks for translation. Well- think English is near German. But to learn German is an really ass pain job - really. Confuse grammar and most Germans don`t use it right. So I can understand that most people in the hole world like to learn English. .... oh sorry - back to topic: I created some better textures for LANTIRN LASER and Navigation pods and isolated these parts and tanks from my StrikeE.   18. Hi, Yes I can create flashing lights. Can you tell me wich lights should blink and wich not, please? Another question is : Can I use real lights? I mean: a material wich truly shine a light over a seperated area and the LOMAC engine can create shadows and reflections. Just like for examble the flares or wingtip lights about green and red shinings. Hey Crazyeddie: Thanks. I used many translation programmes but I wasn`t able to find something like "gem".   19. Hello, yes- it´s possible for your wingmans to use all bombs for ground attacks. The way is easy: I loaded my wingman with bombs I needed for my mission. Mission goal was to destroy an airfield and parked su27`s. I used the command tool : "engage ground targets" - and the wingman attacked the targets I gave them in EDITOR before the mission starts. But this option will works for own wingmans only. :smilewink: Best wishes, TOM
  20. Thanks, yes, I have to correct rear pilots animation. I`m so sorry - I forgot it to correct. I knew there is a little "jump" between frame 25 to 0 . The pic about the lights is very interestingbut it confused me well : Right side normaly marked with green lights and the photo show a green lamp at the wingtip and a fat red light near rightern intake. However: I`ll interprete it. Some more skins would be nice--I hope that a skin guru will create one. Maintain problem is that I wouldn`t use the LOMAC textures. I like to see readable instructions for groundpersonals just like "use tool 12" or "do not paint this". The resolution of LOMAC textures about the F-15 aren`t high enough but was higly standard in 2002. Modern graphic cards can take much more My very best wishes, TOM

  24. Hi, they stopped?! Hell ... why?! Grmpff . ... . ... ... Sku luse sent me some pictures about the StrikeE so I was able to set some better squad. markings as well I pointed out that it is possible to set "fiz" markings into the meinit. So I had the chance to load the complete possible payload on the StrikeEagle as fighter The model count arround 9.900 polys right now and works very fine in couple with the LOMAC engine. I planed to insert tailnumbers , a skin-file and a small little damage model. I had to modify my textures a little bit more with grey. Its a very good feeling to fly with it. I hope that some day a Strike Eagle can be a real option for Digital Combat Series including cockpit for pilot and WSO. Same as opposite the Su30MKK ....Hell:punk: My very best wishes, TOM
