Hi, I have a small little problem: I created tank models for LomacFC 1.12a (T-90) for using in a big mod: http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=20 The maintain problem is that it isnt possible to destroy the tanks with Maverick- MK20 only! Is there anybody out there who can tell me some facts about the problem? My very best wishes, TOM

Great:thumbup: You modified the canopy, don`t you? Looks very nice! About that textures: ED`s textures are very good- So It should be a good way to wrap it with ED textures. Yes I agree. But 200.000 polygons for one model is much to heavy. It won`t work in LOMAC. I could be nice to use more polys to model with much more details as we have right now. But my experience told me that this isn`t FSX. So it have to run still good while you fly against 10 or 20 enemy fighters in package 10 or 20 firendly fighters. What I try to say is, that one 200k model wouldn`t a problem but 10 of them in same time should frozen every actually system. It`s easy to find out. Join "Editor" in LOMAC and set 16 (4x4) Mig29s with full weapons against 30Klicks away flight about 16 F-18Hornets (allthough full weapons) und press "Fly". Hi, basecally I allways trye to use less them 7000 Polygons. When I started to build objects for LOMAC I buided an Eurofighter with about 160k polys. It was just like you eat a borrito before you will having sex with your girlfriend- a complete desaster. My friend Cola showed me how it is possible to build a good looking Eurofighter with 6000 Triangles. That opened my eyes to another view of modeling. Yes, it`s madness to replace a low poly model with another low poly model. So it have to look better, to be another aircraft (version) or to give us new options (two seat, Version, damage model, lights, textures). I think, a good model have to be a good combination about polycount, textures and animations so that overall the result looks good. Here I have some of my works and the actually triangle count: F-4F Textures by Mitch Pilots by Cola so that was a small little overview overhead my work the last 2years. At overall I think that 50.000 Triangles + LOD`s should be the limit for actually hardware course the processor architecture didn`t much better the last years. Hi, that could be a very very interesting thread:smilewink:. Well, "Ctrl+backspace" show us arround 6000 triangles for a normal LOMAC aircraft. That should be arround 2000 Polygons only- ED did a very good job. Very best wishes, TOM

Dear John, I like your models very well. Think thats a good deal but I haven`t much time nowadays. Anyways- I can send the datas and you can play a little bit with it see if it is okay to force the construction process. However: This is a render about 12.789 tringles (allthough with bump maping) And in my LOMAC (plus Lock4Ever mod4.2): write me a mail to TOMCATz@t-online.de Best wishes, TOM

Oh yes- Thanks a lot. My PC calculated about 2 days for 1:49min short movie. It`s allthough a small little impression how models can look in LOMAC if the engine could use bump effects. However, LOMAC looks allways very good :smilewink: Best wishes, TOM

Hello, I´stopped to work on the Raptor after I realized that another team still did it. But if I renember right, I used the F-117.lom as for stealth fighter and animated the weapon bay doors with argument 21 wich means that you have to use the airbrake before shooting a missle. I thought that it was logically course the plane produce a lot of "dirty air" while the bay doors be open and the fighter loose some speed. Otherwise there is an argument for KI`s to open weapon bays but you can`t use it manually. Thanks for greetings, best wishes, TOM

Hello, well- not pretty sure about it course the winter package is completely Fahrenheits engagement. So I thing he have to answer.. I`m pretty sure that he will upgrade his textures next time but right: winter have to be really white an full of snow. Not that lightly frozen land just like we have in LOMAC right know . Hello, I work since 2 years at this project. New tanks, helicopters, buildings, soldiers and textures. Well a long long process. Sometimes I sitting infront of my computer display with sleepfull eyes and think just like mantra: "make it realisticly! make it realisticly! make it ...." Well I`m more an artist them a constructor. So I have to interprate trees, fields, grounds to give them a good look. It`s the harder way to make it all self but well: Sometimes I`m happy about the pics. Interesting: All fighters, tanks and stoff like that builded by me Okay, so far- here some results: German Mig29G overhead Sochi Adler Mi8 while bringing special forces deep into enemys country Mig29C at Patrol nearly the southern border "Gear up- Here we go" ...on patrol-UH1DBlackhawk F-16C with LANTIRN pods at patrol overhead Georgia Hey-Marines can fly! An Bell SuperCobra at training Mi24W at tank hunting. This beast still one of the best helicopters in the hole world gun crew hold position near the border F-15StrikeEagle shooting TrackWhileScan at four enemy targets... That will be a brilliant step- Great news. I can`t believe it. Brilliant:notworthy: One little question to ED: Is it possible to make a "head animation" just like in these small video here: http://www.myvideo.de/watch/7127256 The head went a little bit left and right when you watch out left or right. So it is possible to look better behind the seat. (It don`t have to be a complete look into the six- thats not possible and not builded in the kabina cmd) And when the HUD picture will go out of the sight if the head go left and right- that would be great!
