Hi, Hey- thanks a lot for all. I wasn`t pretty sure if my model is ready nowadays but to build a complete carrier is a madness project. I think, that the model is good and I used arround 170.000polys and I don`t will use one poly more. But my textures are pretty low level and I will be very happy if some Skin-Gurus start to make it better. Looks great Eddie :) My impressions to start it? I saw these site: http://www.carrierbuilders.net/gallery/20070318_USS_Enterprise_1-72/20070318_USS_Enterprise_1-72.htm I tryed to use a high resulution satelite photo over the deck of my model - But it looked not very profiessionaly. So my only option to create a complet new texture for it. However... I`m very happy about the feedback and hope, I was able to made LockOn one step better. My intention is allways, to make LOMAC fit for the future. Since 2002, the simulation started, the hardware did becomes better and better. So there was more space for graphic designers to make some thinks better as before. I was really shocked after I realized that BlackShark wasn`t a update for LOMAC cause an ownstanding simulation! My personal opinion is that ED gave up the LockOn series much to early. I hate helicopters and I love to fly jets. I like to compare Russian battle systems against western systems and I like speed. In BS I can fly one heliciopter only. I mean, BS is the benchmark for all simulation in future and I really hope, that high performance jets will come into it with same simulated deep as the Ka50. Just like Mig-29, F-16 or F-18 so if it is possible and allowed to show. And up to these days I tryed to make my lovely LockOn better and better. However- I saw some A-10 module pics and yes- that looks great. Think ED will make the next brillant move into the future. Best wishes, TOM -
Hi, think your English should be okay. Yes, borchis model looks great and I hope he can force his efforts to bring it over the finish line. Allthough I think that he used to many polygones for the model but well- It will work and borchis F-15 will look great. Best wishes, TOM

This is an carrier update I worked for since two years. Well- the problem is that I used 170.000 polygons and thats much to heavy. This projekt is an never ending story... I stopped the work after I saw first pics from VNAO Carrier Mod. [/url]

Thank`s. Well I did my best. Sure-special material for cockpit glass will give a special look to it. I like it well. The problem is, that I have no idea to realize it? Is there anybody, who can explain me, how I can use these kind of cockpitglass? "] I corrected cockpit and tail section at special as I reported and sent it all to Mitch. Hi Mitch! That great texture looks:shocking: great! wow... I`m not pretty sure if still fixed it last weekend. So please send me your E-Mail adress so I`ll be able to fresh up the model version. I worked at the fuselage nose and tail sections. At the tail is a difficult section where the missile rails end and the nozzles begins. Sometimes I realized to late that some aircrafts have very complex fuselages. A F-104 Starfighter would be much easyer to build. However, think in this case I pushed my level a little step higher as before... I had (still have) some problems about the look about the fighter course I used many different blueprints and looked over about hundreds of photos. (feel like thousands). I really dont know why I have some little different results about some centremetres. Well, I know that some versions and parts of them (special germans) builded in licence by MBB and some other concerns. All Phantoms in the world got many upgrades just like better avionics and stoff like that. And last I`m not pretty sure if all resolutions about all photos in the web are correct.... "] I had to correct many vertexes arround the canopy, the intakes and the tail section. Special the intakes I have to compare it on more time again. So I go forward step by step to a good looking Phantom... "] I´m not pretty sure about the colour sheme course I can use 2 slots only. Of course I use one for German Luftwaffe. For the second I can see a Greece, Turkish or Iraelian Fighter. Think the Turkish "Terminator2020" can be interesting. I started with "Holloman AirForce Base" corse German fighter pilots started their training there and learn the basic tactics. "] Okay- I have arround 20.000polys right now and I`m pretty sure that it is enough. So there is some reserve for a little damage model, tac. numbers and stoff like that. I realized that some people wondered why I build so quick. I think I didn`t. The real reason is that I stopped smoking:smoke: since 1 month. Before I smoked 2 packages at one day and it become a little bit to expensive for me. And since this time I can`t slep. Mostly I slep two or three hours and them I lay in the bed :suspect:... ****ing cigarretes.. Okay- Sorry for my long story and if it was to boring.. Well, my point of view is: I have to be prepared all times that some people critizise me hardly. I`ll allways hope that I can learn somethings and talk with some interesting people. Some day in far far future, anyone will build an super fantastic, high quality and benchmarking F-4 Phantom model. Including 20 colour shemes, 200arguments about damages, 100.000polygons and 4LOD models. As freeware, flyable and with her own cockpit- Rear and Front! I wait for it, really! Okay- Sorry- I dreamed. So I haven`t any problems and all can still use the standart Phantom as well.

Yes, basicly right but most blueprints aren´t correctly. It`s pretty hard to find correct blueprints about the right version. My biggest problem is to model without producing bad vertexes. I allways confused how ED designers was able to model jets with some polys only and that all looks so smooth and accurate.

Oh men...:inv: okay. At first: Thanks for all the support. There are much constructive critic in it and thats very good. Of course I didnt start a "Who build faster-race"- it was a compilation of pics over about weeks and months to build my Phantom. However: It´s a hobby only. So I have to study and study and study...I`ll do it next time. Without my computer, at the beach while flirting with girls... Hi, and thanks at first:smilewink: Yes- Its not possible to fix positions about burning parts just like engines. The burning fire is a little bit overhead the engines and all these points are hardcoded. I wish and hope the ED will give us the chance to correct these special points in future. Just like Tank-boom positions, fire , trails and so on ... :helpsmilie: My very best wishes, TOM

Thank you Gozr- thanks very much. I hope that someday one of the skin ikones will remake some cockpit textures. The old one are fantastic but I like it a little bit more realistic. More dirty and so on ... The download link is in these forum some posts before:thumbup:
