  1. So how do you get the radio menu items to show up? I have the names configured, and the .lua as the initialization script, but they're not there. In fact, I have to F10-other at all.
  2. Holbeach, you got that right. But it you make a chamfer on the top of the inner surface of the centering cone, it will stop the binding. I did that, used wheel bearing grease, and the zip tie mod, and now's my X45 (I know, its an antique) is almost as smooth as my Logitech extreme pro. (One of the smoothest spring centered sticks I've ever seen)
  3. I found that on saitek sticks, no matter how much it feels like it, the base of the cone is NOT the problem. The problem is where the cone rides on the shaft. Their is a hard edge on the inside of the cone, and it big day against the shaft. Take the stick apart, (you can't remove the cone because the wiring harness for through it) and chamfer the top inner surface. This allows the cone to ride more smoothly againts the shaft. (Gosh that sounded dirty) Luv the -gulp- shaft with any old grease, and she'll be almost as smooth as a stick that wasn't properly designed in the first place. I can post pictures later, I'm on my pho e right now.
  4. I have a Radeon hd 5770, my card hasn't been supported since 13.something. AMD keeps saying it is, but the drivers BSOD, no matter how thoroughly I remove the old drivers.
  5. Was that an AI? I'm pretty sure the AI damage is random cosmetic, and doesnt really reflect the damage the SIM considers for control surface/ avionics failures. I've seen f-15s using radar with their noses missing, aircraft landing with tails missing, and an SU-17 land with one wing.
  6. You can build a decent machine from scratch for about $500. Just call a place called Microcenter in warren, michigan, and they'll help you choose the parts. Then you can order on line from them, and they'll ship to your door.
  7. I can post my practice mission if you'd like. Takeoff from batumi, there's a few su-17s a few miles north. 60 seconds after you shoot down all 4 4 more spawn, and again for a total of 12 aircraft, 4 ata a time.
  8. I've noticed that as well. If you check the mission I posted, you'll see dome triggers I used. Im on my phone or I'd post the link. Just find the "smoke color mission test" in the huey mission section.

  11. Here is a simple mission I created to demonstrate some logic I did with the trigger system. A Vietnam veteran Huey pilot once told me that originally, they would pop smoke to mark their location in the jungle. and then simply tell the pilot what color smoke to look for. This worked until the VC started popping the same color if they found the radio freq, and shoot at the helos if they landed at the wrong smoke signal. So, they started popping a random color and the pilot would report what colors he saw, and the infantry would tell him if that smoke was theirs or not. I wanted to re-create that, so I spent a few hours getting it to work with just the trigger system, no scripting. I originally wanted to have only a right/wrong trigger system, but it consistently failed in testing. I ended up with a Wrong,Wrong,Right, system in which incorrect color responses are individualized for each color. Either way, after many tests it works consistently, so I thought I'd share. ************Update************ V 2.0 Beta I have now edited the mission to use the CTTS Script found here. The soldiers can now be dropped anywhere, but if dropped near the Bradleys they will follow a few more waypoints as if they actually had a mission to complete there, instead of just milling around like they would if I used the CTTS script alone. I basically set they're advanced waypoint options to hold at the pickup point, and a trigger to resume once they reach the dropoff point near the bradleys. There is a 100m trigger zone centered at that location, and if the infantry is set down inside of it, get the Resume command and follow a few more waypoints away from the DZ.   12. Bump old thread rather than staring a new one. Is there a way to remove the marker early? I'm simulating a Vitetnam style smoke marker on unit to be picked up mission, and those old cans only lasted 90 sec.

For the UH-1H's main fuel switch, I get this line: elements["FUEL-PTR"] = default_2_position_tumb(_("Main Fuel") , devices.FUELSYS_INTERFACE, device_commands.Button_1, 81) So I know it's #81, and 0 is off, but I still need the command number. the Perform clickable has 3 fields, and this doesn't give me that information.

  18. How do you get the F7 option to show up? I have a mission for they huey where I can pick them up fine, I fly to the disembark point, land, and nothing. They don't get out, and I don't have the option in the radio menu...

  20. So I deleted the Snapviews.lua in user////view and view.lua in dcs////uh-1h. Ran Steam integrity check, and still get this: See the Door gunner out the window?
  21. So this is a weird one. The gunenr on my UH01H is Sitting to the right of where he is supposed to be. I tried editing the view.lua for the module, and I can get him to move in 5 out of the 6 possible directions. Guess which way he won't move. Also, when I was editing the View.lua after a few trial and error runs, some weird stuff started happening where I could see through the textures for the back wall of the cockpit, so I restored the original version of the file. However, the view is still not right, and now he's sitting to ofar forward, as well.... Screens to come: (They're huge)

  23. Also, is it possible to have this start the servertwhen executing the jar? That wayI can start this, TrackIR, and DCS with one batch file. I can start the server, but I still have to right click and select 'start server' manually.
  24. Ooooh, so the mission goals are where you score. I thought it meant that in order to win (to achieve a 'goal') you need a certain score and certain conditions must be met. I get it now, thanks.
