  3. @Reflected, yesterday after installing the F-86 Campaign, I noticed that The Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney Campaign Mission 1 images got replaced with the Mission 1 images of the F-86 campaign. I have no idea how that happened and had no time to check it further as it was already too late in the evening, but just fired the P-51 campaign to check the story(bought it long time ago but never played it) and noticed the first mission images are the same as the Yalu campaign.

  5. You have burned the laser. Use it wisely and don't smash the target lock button as it fires the laser every time you press it. Make sure to always wait the timer on the hud to expire before designating with laser again if you have to.
  6. In another ww2 sim, they have this mod which allows you to press a button and for snap 20° rotation left or right to compensate for the limited FOV in VR. It works really well in this other sim. I wonder if it can be achieved in DCS as well ? I tried with snap views but it seems they don't work in rotation axis, at least in VR.
  7. Hah, go to most popular MP servers and F-16 and F-18 seems to be the most used modules. It's even more populated than the F-14 from what I see when I check 104th, buddy spike or growling sidewinder.
  8. +1! There is something more, right now it work by adding an action on release. However, many times when you engage switch to "ON" after some time if you turn it OFF, the action on release doesn't work and you have to toggle the witch on off and click it with the mouse to sync and it starts to work again. So far I am unable to find what causes this or any pattern, but it seems like if it stays "ON" for certain time, then it stops working and needs to be cycled. It also doesn't work after mission start before all controls are toggled. The setting to sync the controls fixes this partially but in many cases it doesn't or just messes it up even more. It also mess up air starts.

  10. As per F-16 BEM, the master modes setups are customizable e.g. on the screenshot. You can customize your radar mode and MFD configurations defaults for each master mode. It is part of the Pre-Takeoff Preparation in the official F-16 BEM. For example now when I switch to missile override it switches the right mfd to SMS page while I would like to keep it in HSD page.
  11. As title says. It would be great if we could do this for rotaries which are not positional knobs. Most of the time they are moving so slow almost unusable. E.g. jhmcs, internal lights etc.. It is partially possible by changing values in lua but it isn't always working so there is something more in the code. And this is a valid request for all modules, not jus f-16.   12. As long as I have the contacts from DL I use 2 bars vertical as this is what slows it down most. Constantly adjusting ant. Elevation is not a problem. I also use mostly rws and sam mode unless 1 vs many case where I need to press on more than 1 target. I think SAM mode giving lock tone was fixed but can't confirm that for sure. The biggest issue with radar I have currently is dogfight modes, those can't lock shit... EDIT: to keep in on topic, I agree it is a bit of a hassle to sort out targets and you need more time, at least 50-60 miles distance probably. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

May be ED is not allowed to model correct aim120c neither to say that it is not correct currently, as it is in active service in many countries and they don't want everyone to know their capabilities and how to dodge them ? So they have no other options but to keep claiming it is correct as it is. What really is beyond me is why 3rd parties and ED do not coordinate beforehand when it os clear that weapons models should follow the same standard.   16. You have visible time to impact on the hud which counts down and when it reaches zero they show the impact. Actually it seems like the dcs missile hits slightly earlier :) + 1 for the second question, it seems like we have a super weapon :)
  17. I doubt ED will jump unless forum rules are abused. I see no problem if some people do not agree with deka statements, especially people who knows what they are talking and bring numbers behind their claims. It's a discussion between both sides, and as deka devs are also replying just shows they are also interested in the discussion. The only one who keeps repeating "close the thread" is you, while no one forces you to follow it. When the thread gets exhausted or some end agreement is reached it will die by itself.
  18. I can't disagree with you. I absolutely understand your point. It just that right now it doesn't fit in the same environment as the rest of the modules. Whether ED will update it's missile to fit yours and when is still unknown. Hopefully this will happen and everyone will be happy :)
  19. As you also said, it will never be exactly accurate, so all should deviate the same. if some day ED change the way the rest of the missiles are modeled and sd10 fits where it belongs, then ok. But for now, it just doesn't fit the environment. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  20. 1.According to the Ggtharos numbers, it is not! And he is the only one who actually provided some data. The rest just repeat the same points over and over again. Deka replied to him with "we have a super computer and you are wrong" - this didn't look very convincing to me... 2. It is out of space from the rest of the modules, it doesn't fit in any scenario as the missile is too strong in relationship to the rest in the sim. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  21. I am surprised that deka and some people in the community trying to convince that such a huge margin between aim120c(5 possibly) and sd-10a is real. Especially in favor for the sd-10a missile from early 2000. It actually goes closer to the Phoenix than to the amraam in sim.... I can't provide data as Mr. Tharos and I don't have time for that, but it seems even that doesn't make any change. I have pretty much all of the dcs modules as I like to support but JF17 will not be one of them because of this small detail. I was holding my purchase to see how this situation will proceed but ot seems it is going to a dead end. From my perspective this looks like a cheap way to pump sales - make the airquakers buy it. P.S. I don't care much about public mp as I rarely play there.. and when I do, I do red, so balance is not what I care. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

  24. Do you have an idea which version of the missile is modeled in sim ? From my knowledge the newest tech which we have simulated in dcs is from about 2008 and it is still simplified due to classified stuff. Do we have some JF17 and sd-10 from 2019 or what ?
  25. Sure, I am not saying you are wrong. I also don't know much about how it does in war birds - it might be better there. Last time I flew war birds was year ago and AI was doing a lot of vertical B&Z. But in F-5 and F-16 I end up in vertical in pretty much all engagements that I win. There are not many ways to get in to the GUN WEZ... align TC - Enter CZ - pull lead. Any time I get close to CZ he starts vertical loop. Regardless, I am sure ED are working on improving it, so hopefully soon :)
