Do you have the option set in the MiG-21 Special tab? It's called something like "Realistic IR Missile Reticle". If this is ticked, your pipper will stay centered as the pipper following the target is not realistic.
Well before nose wheel is down it's not only the CG but also the AoA and corresponding air resistance which pushes the plane back and up... Could be a factor with the big delta wings.
I was testing with a newly created SP mission. Just me and a single friendly F-15 with the instruction to turn on ECM at waypoint 1.
Result: I can see him on radar just fine, can lock, unlock etc... but as soon as he reaches WP1 and turns on his jammer => CTD
Well since there have been tons of changes in almost every patch since beta release I guess one can almost expect them to happen in the future. ;)
There was a changelog posted here in the subforum. Obviously it's not as visible as it would be in the main announcement, but it's there.
That's what I thought, thanks. Sounds great.
On a related note: Is this system already functional in the current open beta? I see the indications on the radar display, but the switch is not animated, I didn't find any keybinds for it and I can't get to ENT mode with the mouse either...
Hmm, is it? It's guided passively by the target's heat signature, so no emissions from the missile which is how I understand active/passive. But maybe I'm wrong here. ;)
According to the devs that one is gonna see a lot of changes in the next update, too: Working anti-skid to better keep straight on the runway, no more nose up tendency after touchdown, stronger wheel brakes,...
