Nope FBW does not compensate for asymmetric load. Afaik this is not a bug, the F-16's FBW doesn't do that either. You need to trim the airplane against unwanted roll (be aware that trim is currently bugged in 1.5, but that will be fixed with the next update).

One more thing: looking at your first two pictures you have your HUD in test mode. So you don't get all the indications, missile time of flight for example. When you turn on your HUD, click the HUD power switch only once (middle position), not twice.

Everything is fine on your side. There has been a major update to the HUD symbology recently, what you see in 2.0 is the current version. Your 3rd pic (from 1.5) is the old one, same as most of the stuff you see on Youtube. The "PIC" tag on your radar display shows you that you have a solid STT lock on your target.

If you are not too heavy it is not really necessary. I've landed on every auxiliary airfield in the Caucasus and in Nevada just fine.

Hm just tried it, no need for the gear to be down. I just put in 111,75 and pressed APP => voilà. Could you post a track so we can see if you're doing something wrong?

Ok first of all forget the smoke release function, you don't need it. With Smokewinders loaded and in the air: 1) Master Arm On 2) Select first Weapon Select button on PCA (see picture) 3) You should now hear seeker tone (I guess WIP) 4) Press Weapon Release (AKA Fire!) button => Left smoke pod turns on 5) Press Weapon Release button multiple times to cycle through left, right, both on/off. Hope that works for you!

As a sidenote: if you are on 2.0 don't believe the ATC, it is bugged and gives you wrong numbers. I believe the devs practically said not to bother for now and to wait for the new ATC to arrive.

Regarding DCS it doesn't really matter too much, since ED seems to go with the term "Early Access" (which can mean about anything) in the future. I bet this change comes because of exactly this situation here.

Hmm trim works fine for me. A (newly introduced) control conflict maybe? Have you tried re-asigning?

Go to DCS website, login with your account, go E-Shop => Campaigns and select the one you want. In the lower part of that page will be a yellow box with "Get serial number" written in it. Click on it to get your code. After a few minutes (it took ~10 mins for me) you should get a prompt in the DCS module manager to download the campaign. Be aware: the A-10C one is not available yet. €: sniped :)

Personally I am not too interested in the American F-Teens, I think I've got kind of over-saturated with them over the years. So a rather unique and not too well known aircraft is highly welcome in my book. I've seen the Viggen fly a couple of times at airshows here (my country having quite a history with Saab aircraft), the looks, the sound and just the raw power of that thing are breathtaking. Also the enthusiasm of you guys is quite contagious! ;) Your knowledge and all the information you've gathered are great. Simply reading along here I've learned so much not just about the aircraft, but about history in general... that's why I love this forum. So keep at it! :thumbup:

Hmm, why would they give away an airplane for free? If we were talking about a FC3 level aircraft with SFM then maybe, but you have to appreciate how much work goes into a full DCS level module. And Razbam for sure isn't a multi million dollar company that can afford to pay their people for months without getting something in return. Sorry, but I don't see the big marketing benefit that would justify such a step. Now don't get me wrong, I like free stuff as much as the next guy, but I think we have to stay realistic.

According to the bug tracker this issue should be fixed internally. I really hope some of that stuff makes it to the next update, there's a lot happening there at the moment. :)

Nope, it't built into DCS from the get go. If you want to use it, look through the control list of your preferred aircraft to find the needed keyboard shortcuts.
