  1. And how would you perform this fast alignment? Because as far as I understood the Memory alignment only takes a previously stored position and assumes that the aircraft hasn't moved since. I don't see how this would have any impact on the accuracy of the system.
  2. I'd like to hear your opinion... Do you guys think that once the INS gets implemented it would be fine for the "Memory Alignment" fuction to work on cold starts? On the A-10 it's quite ok to wait for alignment because there is so much other stuff to do, but here the rest of the startup is so quick that I imagine it rather tedious to wait for another 7 minutes just looking out the window. :) Sure we'd have to pretend the plane was already aligned once, but anybody who wants pure realism could always use the normal option. Yeah it would be a small concession to gameplay, but since the option is there in the aircraft I think it's one that I could live with. Any thoughts?
  3. Ok then I must have done something wrong. My bad.
  4. These ghost contacts also have quite interesting closing speeds sometimes. Something like 6.37 mach for example... :)
  5. According to the manual there should be yellow indicator needles on the ADI, but they aren't working properly at the moment as far as I have seen.
  6. See manual page 93/94 :)

    ILS

Be sure to be in "Approach" mode. Landing waypoint is only needed for the synthetic runway, not for the ILS queue per se.
  8. Well in the 21 it is the same as with the F-15 for example. It's a bit harder to lock the target because I can't slew the TDC with the ECM filter on. On the other hand, as I said it is way more visible on my radar display, so it's easier to find in the first place. In the Migage itself I find it pretty hard to lock a jamming target, because the contact jumps around the display all the time. There probably is a burn through distance, but I haven't figured it out yet. As for the FC3 arcraft, sorry I can't say as I don't fly them. If I would have to guess it's probably the same effect as with all the other jammers in the game.
  9. The mode selector switch (the rotary dial just to the left of the BR switch) need to be in the Square position, which it is by default. Vei is standby and the third mode isn't implemented afaik. I've seen a lot of guys online forgetting to put the jammer in standby when they shouldn't need it, which makes them highly visible on my Safir display. :)
  10. It works, but the seeker head isn't looking at the right place at the moment. Instead of the middle of the circle it looks at the little boresight cross above it. Put that on the target and the missile will lock.
  11. Yeah if canopy is closed (which it is by default at cold start atm) you need to have at least battery power on the aircraft to contact ground crew.
  12. Jeah the jammer works, i have seen the effects in the 21 and in the Mirage myself.
  13. It seems like this method isn't working at the moment, so you'll have to wait.
  14. In Mission Editor go to the loadout tab and create a custom loadout using the "NEW" button in the bottom left. You should find all the weapons there.
  15. This is still a thing in the current 1.5 version. It makes this pretty basic RWR even less useful because I have to mute it to stop it from screaming into my ears for the entire flight. :)
  16. Radar works great (well, as great as it should ^^), thanks LN!
  17. This seems to be a bug ED has to squish, because it happens across multiple modules (see 2.0 bug section).
  18. Interesting stuff, thx for sharing.
  19. Radar needs around 3 minutes to warm up in standby before it can be used.
  20. Be sure that no radar jamming filters are engaged, the TDC can't be slewed while one of them is on.
  21. Definitely works under 1.5 with JSGME. As Razorback said, you just have to alter the target folder a little bit to fit the new tree.

    1.5 Rearming

Yep he's also flipping the start-up mode switch from normal to cold start.
  23. You are mistaken, it is not enabled on the 104th. In order to watch a sortie in TacView you need to run the replay of it in DCS. When you do this, TacView can extract all the necessary information. But keep in mind that the longer a replay gets, the more likely it gets corrupted. The whole process is kind of tedious.
  24. Nope. They crashed the plane during a test flight and the plan was aborted.
