[ALREADY REPORTED]Ground units are jumping away when got hit
randomTOTEN replied to Quax456's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
:hehe: look at the BTR's position at 3 seconds, and compare it to 5 seconds. -
Impeller (supercharger) and turbocharger interaction?
randomTOTEN replied to SmirkingGerbil's topic in DCS: P-47 Thunderbolt
I don't have the P-47 in DCS, but I've used Twincharged systems in other simulators (FSX). How about letting the USAAF explain it themselves? The throttle is not the only control of the supercharger! Try this test in DCS (I know it works with other modules). 1.) Leave the boost lever at 0 (= idle supercharger = waste gate open). 2.) Climb at your chosen climb power setting until you reach "full throttle height." (Full throttle required to maintain desired MAP) 3.) Change the propeller RPM in different directions by different amounts...leave the throttle full. 4.) Observe MAP and RPM relationship. -
very easily, I consider it the easiest to AAR with out of the AAR capable modules I own: A-10A/C, M2000-C, F/A-18C, F-16C, F-15C, Su-27/33, MiG-29.

also other programs may "intercept" your F10 key stroke

None of the arguments in opposition to Unlimited Fuel have convinced me. Any time I try to answer these arguments the goal posts are continuously moved. I think it's an ego thing. People want the experience of AAR refueling.. but not to the point where they actually have to experience it. ED can implement relaxed realism AAR if they want, I don't care. It's just another cheat mode. But unlimited fuel is already a cheat mode, so who cares...

Set your Warthog Throttle to the middle range, and then on the DCS home screen, choose "Instant Action" Select the A-10C on the left side, and choose "Free Flight." Do your throttles function properly when you load this mission? I suspect this has to do with the OFF detents. The DCS system is unique and gives a lot of new users grief until they learn it.

[REPORTED]MIG 29S has huge bounce on landing
randomTOTEN replied to H-var's topic in MiG-29 for DCS World
It's flaps are up, it's stabiliators are neutral, it's intake doors are closed, the pavement it's on isn't marked as a runway, there appears to be a wheel chock right behind it, and even with the telephoto effect those airframe jacks (?) look less than 100ft away. -
What airplane? Is the airplane's engine running?

[REPORTED]MIG 29S has huge bounce on landing
randomTOTEN replied to H-var's topic in MiG-29 for DCS World
Watch the video. He never lets the nose wheel touch the ground until nearly all energy is dissipated. In your numerous videos you have the nose wheel touching the ground first. Especially after a bounce. He bounces and doesn't let the nose wheel fall. -
Making DCS more accessible to new players.
randomTOTEN replied to Vertigo72's topic in New User Briefing Room
In support of the "quick start" training missions. They don't have to be unrealistic either. These combat aircraft must all have a "scramble" procedure, and really that's not any different than what a user does when they don't want to perform any of the system tests and checks, and want to get in the air as quickly as possible. There could be "Scramble" instant action missions, with a set time required to be airborne for mission success. Likewise, mission planners should have the ability to put the aircraft in some sort of "Alert" state (Perhaps **Takeoff from Ramp ALERT/QRA Start**) EDIT: Video -
The missing communication menu when using the default "" key is suspected to be an issue for a large number of modules. I made a test here, I don't have the Yak, but it sounds the same to the issue I and others were experiencing. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=276893

My opinion only, but that should have gone a whole lot worse than it did. That was a very rough landing. -
Is Nevada Map worth buying?
randomTOTEN replied to Shadoware's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
Every MP server seems to run endless NATO vs. NATO aircraft right now. Other than fighting Iranian F-14's, MiG-21's etc I don't understand why Red Flag themed AirQuake isn't the big thing... -
I have low expectations for a DCS level MiG-25 or MiG-23, so I would also like to see that offered as Flaming Cliffs level. Also an Su-24 FC4. And Su-34 FC4. (Also options for F-16A and F/A-18A) I've really come to appreciate the Flaming Cliffs "survey" level of fidelity, and think it still could have a future in DCS (or MAC).
-
Why isn't it used in the real world then? Seems to me engaging an autopilot while in tight formation with another aircraft is a really really REALLY bad idea.
-
So you either AAR or RTB, what's the big deal?
-
Why is your group forcing tasks which some of their members are unable or unwilling to perform?
-
Sounds normal to me. The installation process created (and named) the folders. DCS_updater.exe doesn't rename files.. I think it just adds/replaces/deletes them based on the commanded branch and version.

https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1267371&postcount=7 I used it for a very long time before buying TrackIR

Wow you actually have curves for the F-16? It's the only aircraft in which I removed them...
-
Congrats on making progress! Look stowed to me.

I don't think this is a small request at all. It's going to need to be built from scratch, or else the user will have to completely relinquish control momentarily to the A.I. Flight Model. Any "assistance" will need to be completely coded from nothing, there's nothing like it currently in the sim. It's not an aircraft Flight Control / FCS/ FLCS or Autopilot mode. It's not turbulence (which was coded from scratch as well). It's something completely different and fictitious that would need to be made. We can't even agree on how it could work. Will there be any HUD/UI elements for it? Will this have to be individually tailored for every module? There's no way I can see this being an "easy thing to add." Sure it could be nice to have (I just spent 45 minutes refreshing how to AAR in the A-10 again.) About the only way I can see this reasonably being implemented is if the user looses all aircraft control during the refuel process.

Track attached. Screenshot shows LG Down and no AOA indexer visible. Yeah, it's not very often I get to RTB with the A-10A... took a long time to find this one:megalol: EDIT: Refuel lights are INOP too. A-10A No Index.trk

I don't even look at the HUD when I'm air refueling. It shows me nothing that I can't discover just by looking at the tanker. EDIT: There's one exception to this. I bring up the BINGO page on the DED and then repeat it onto the HUD, that allows for very easy monitoring of the fuel level. I guess you could call that an "AAR HUD"

Did I read his post wrong? I believe that was exactly what he was asking for....
