Tried [ RAlt + \ ]?
-
From trying to help getting this to work in 1.5.7, I would say the most difficult part to adopt this to DCSW (remember, it's originally made for BS1), is to convince the AI units, airborne and ground, to behave as they were originally ment to behave (for the sake of the campaign that is). I installed BS 1 just to be able to see how some missions should work (using Tackview), and the AI behavior is massively changed since the BS 1 days, that's for sure! It's the main reason for not being covered to DCSW by the community yet.

I have no idea. Never come across either Virtual Airlines websites or acars. But I might look into it whenever I get my computer together again. It's currently in a box, just arrived to our new home. According to my family it has low priority...

No, but it will continuously alter between sides. So if you see it being launched from the right, next one will be from the left, next after that right, and so on. I haven't bothered to learn whether it always launches the first one from the same side every time, or if it's random. But since the sideward shift of the aming circles after each launch is rather small, only small corrections with pedals are necessary if target is the same or very close to last one. So if the "C" doesn't appear after a small yaw, do it in the other direction. But if you have seen from what side the last missile was launched, make the correction in that direction, i.e. if launched from right side, next one will come from the left, the circle will shift left, and yaw correction need to be to the right. Edit: Also, the sideward shift of th circle is immediate after launch, and the missile will fly for several seconds, so you can do the yaw correction while waiting for the first missile to do its job.

Correct, but as I mentioned in regards to OPs issue, if you don't see the circles it's sufficient to go by the "C" indication on both the HUD and the Shkval screen.
-
Basically exactly as you do it, except for the nose-down. You don't need to see the target on the HUD, you have the shkval screen. Both the skhval and HUD will give you indication where (lesf/right) your camera is pointing, so when you have a lock on target just tur towards it untill the "C" appears, and fire (as long as you are within range, you get the distance every time you laze the target). The automatic turn to target doesn't have perfect pression so you almost always need a little pressure on the pedals.

And thank You, Drakoz, for finding a possible solution to the SRS conflict! I tried to look into it but couldn't find anything on my own, so I contacted the developer of SRS for assistance but he haven't had the time yet, and right now I don't have it myself. I never thought the solution could be that simple! I really hope some one else with the problem can test this and confirm it works for them too (I don't have the time for a few additional months, and I don't use SRS either), then I will put it in the descriptions. Of course I will credit you Drakoz for it. Also thanks for the mentioning of Combatflight and the possibility to export the KML files. One can also import any MIZ file and export already planed routes from it. Good for SP.

Yes you can. Turning them off isn't like FD. In FD (with the channels on) you have the mentioned damping. Turning them off and you are without damping (I actually believe you can have FD on while all channels off and get directions on the HUD but without damping or other help from the systems). The idea of flying with AP channels off is just simply to learn the aircraft in its most basic configuration. Knowing how to handle it like that will help you a lot in all other confirmations, even if it isn't meant to be used like that on a regular basis. And as already mentioned, when your systems are malfunctioning due to damage you don't have much of a choice if you want to make it home.

No, sorry I can't. If I could I would have done it the first time you requested it. But it might be possible, others have done similar things in other modules (i.e. the Viggen). I don't have much time to sit at the computer for a couple of months, but when I get it (and also remember this issue) I might look into it. But don't hold your breath.

This is available as a keyboard command as default, I only made it possible to use a joystick button too, for anyone who want's that. I don't think I follow you here. You quoted me where I answered about the pilot body, but then you talked about IFF?

Problem with saving waypionts and rute for future flights
Holton181 replied to mrfoxik's topic in DCS: NS 430
Just a thought, doesn't CombatFlight have some sort of flight plan export for the NS430? Worth looking into (use the search to find CF) -
[NO BUG] KA50 not rearming/refueling when engine running
Holton181 replied to notproplayer3's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I'm not completely sure, but I think you can request refuel/reload by lowering the throttles and put the engines to idle, then opening the door. No guarantees. -
Yeah, I flew her without any AP the first few years, just because I wanted to learn to FLY her myself without any help from it. Definitely recommend! I actually mostly just flew around for the fun of it, not bothering about armament and advanced avionics. Then when it was time to start using her for wat she was built for, it was also time to learn the use of AP. By the way, I use the "without spring and FFB" trimmer mode and frenetic clicking the trim button during attitude changes. Each by his own.

DCS World 2.5.x Caucasus Terrain Textures
Holton181 replied to Mustang's topic in Texture/Map Mods for DCS World
Just downloaded 1.30, the terain.cfg.lua in the rar is from 06-06-2019 and your post is from 06-07-2019, so I guess it's not the same as the one you mention here being updated for 2.5.5? Will it be available ones you tested the folder system? edit: date format in this post mm-dd-yyyy (due to how it is represented in this forum) -
Fri13, my understanding of what Dr_Arrow suggest about the black button is that the Cyrillic text doesn't even mention AA missiles, but that it is for launching everything except Vikhr (and not AA either since it can't carry them). If that is the case the translation is really bad. And the red for just dropping everything (except Vikhr). The translation is already proven bad here. Why having both? Just guessing, but appropriate button depends on your location. If over settlements, city's, friendly ground troops you don't want to just drop everything on people's heads. But otherwise you might prefer dropping it to avoid scattering high risk munition over a bigger, undefined area ahead of you. You also most often would prefer drop/launch it unarmed, but if you have some enemies ahead of you, you might as well launch it armed, if you get lucky you might hit something at least while trying to save your skin. And of course, if armed when launching the munition will detonate at ground impact and be of no future risk. Just my two cents.

Just to add a little too Fri13:s explanation... Ruder trim: when triming, return them to center if having this checked. Good for centering pedals, but may people (including myself) finds it very confusing and easy to run out of pedal authority. Default: for ForceFeadBack sticks it's like Fri13 described, but for non-FFB sticks the input from it is disabled for a very short time, and you are supposed to center your stick (quickly) during that time. This time can be increased by slightly edit a lua file, but I don't have the details in memory. The other modes are like Fri13 described.

Night vision on Gazelle L and minigun variants

Unfortunately we on Tapatalk don't see the voting functionality in the forum, so we can't vote unless going to the web interface. If it's not clearly stated in OP it's impossible for us to know there is a real voting or not. Is it now? -
Happy if it can be of any use!

Indeed, but what I can't fully ignore is how they choose to phrase this: And not: Just saying.

Might have been. Use Notepad++ instead.

No worries, now I know you're aware. Take your time.

Hi Ciribob, I have sent you a PM regarding a conflict between SRS and my own GPS-to-GPS and asked for help, but never got an answer. I know some users have turned off PM:s or just simply never read them, and I figured you might be one of them. Not my intention to bug you, but I really would need your help, if possible. Fully respect if you can't/don't want to. BR /H
