Don't get me wrong, it's a technical wonder! It lends itself to the scenarios without a doubt! I would love to see more late 50's through 70's fighters, Russian, European, and American! I guess I would like to see more WVR multi-purpose aircraft that can take on a light swing rolls than single roll limited use strictly BVR fighters! Mirage 3s, F-1s, Saab Draken, F-100 Super Sabres, F-4 Phantoms, are almost a requirement to that list, Mig-17 and -19, Mig-23! So many awesome "light" multi-roll aircraft to be had in those decades! But... As always we each have our own tastes as you say![emoji6]

A dual announcement would be amazing! The last year has made me quite the pessimist though. The devs have just run into a lot of not unexpected bugs and some are taking longer to workout than was planned.[emoji6] I'm really looking forward to the announcements!

I would look for the two unannounced planes in late December at the earliest. The Tomcat late summer.

Mig-25.... A rival for the F-14? Maybe only for "long" ranged missile duels. Any other flight regimen the Tomcat eats the Foxbat alive! I don't understand the fascination with the Mig-25/31 family. Swell you can push up passed 2.5 Mach if you want to change your engines upon landing, not an issue in DCS currently I know! Very limited visibility, little to no ability to engage in a turning fight, limited ability below medium range missile duels, no practical air to ground..... It's a totally BVR fighter, you launch missiles at range and run. The R-33 is going to have similar, if not worse, problems hitting a fighter size target as the AIM-54. What is the attraction? A zoom climb to high altitude? I'll take a Mig-23/27... maybe. It's an AI aircraft leave it at that in my opinion.

Thanks for that Tom! All this time I've been ok with not having an F-4 in this game to fly. Now I want an F-4 here, almost to the exclusion of some other modules! Thanks for that![emoji6] Killer video!

You sir are an evil person! I like your style![emoji106]

If I may add a vote, the VF-18 Griffins would be excellent name for the Tomcat squadron! It seems to me a good mythical creature for a virtual squadron! If at a later date the organization of a composite support squadron of folks flying the more ground attack oriented aircraft, A-7, A-6, and F/A-18 is brought into being I would be very interested!

Behold the majestic flying Guppychu!

I wonder if they were going for a "stealthly" version of the Yak-36?

I think now its the best time for the announcement
Cool Breeze replied to assafm25's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Think we could get a "Jester" type AI for this module? Call it mother in law, or nagging wife! This would really boost the immersion aspect![emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji106] -
Ah, thanks Tirak!

An excellent concept for the skins! I think the basis for the squadron are excellent, standout pilots and RIOs! I'm looking forward to learning the backseat as much as the front! In the cast of soon to be released DCS aircraft I'm not sure how many would fly the the Tomcat exclusively though. Good luck recruiting I can't wait to see t that skin in game! Good hunting and best of flying!

That's one area that I keep getting confused.... The F-110 lead to the "B" model, an overall better engine. We are getting the A/B Tomcat. I guess this is something that only Leatherneck could decisively tell us. Are they modelling both engines? Giving us a choice in the difficulty of piloting the TF-30 with is associated compressor issues. Or is the A/B designation just used for "A" models upgraded to the F-110, and not a production "B" model. I think pulling back the throttle from afterburner and having a chance your engines eat themselves well always be interesting!

I'm hoping that the upcoming generation of aircraft puts Falcon 4 to shame.

Could the chat menus be made to more resemble the ATC and in-game instruction bubbles and fonts? Possibly changing the color of the bubble from the transparent grey. To a transparent blue and red with white text for friend or foe.

Are there any threads on how DCSW would calculate radar energy and the the returning energy? Does it take into account aspect change in the target? Ground clutter?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Themed Skins?
Cool Breeze replied to mjmorrow's topic in Liveries/Skinning
Nice mustang skin Sith! -
Man, DCS is going to drive the rest of the flight sim world out business. Hope y'all are planning to put a few more aircraft like this into DCS. She looks fantastic! Any plans on a roadmap?

You may want to read this thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=147288 The RAZBAM version for DCS only has an RDI radar that is optimized for Air to Air and not capable of using the ARMAT, Excocet.:( I would have liked to have them as well, but as our French friends say, C'est La Vie! We are going to have to be content with the Su-25T for the Iron Hand mission just a bit longer until the F/A-18C comes out. Till then:book::joystick::pilotfly::thumbup:

Mi-21 Template available to coincide with 1.5 release?
Cool Breeze replied to TJTAS's topic in MiG-21Bis
No eta yet couple days at least. Wags said they are having trouble compiling everything. -
The initial release of 1.5 will come on the DCSW beta client as an update. I'm not sure how it will work if you are running steam. As soon as it's ready ready for prime time they should update the DCSW "standard" to 1.5. As far as I've seen the DCS 2.0 was coming in November, but as always that is very subject to change. Seems like ED and the third parties have a lot of bug swatting to do before it's ready.

Cloud effects are not ready for implementation yet. No word on how far along they are.

I'm not sure what that is, but I see machine guns! I want it! Edit: I found the rest of it! Very interesting looking little bird! The gun pod rocks though!
