You sir are F-ing awesome! Holy crap my sides hurt!

Unfortunately, I doubt it's as simple as aircraft being declassified. Developers also have to deal with the copyright and licensing issues of the manufacturers! VEAO had to put a hold on the A-4 because they had trouble coming to a beneficial agreement with McDonnell/Douglas/Boeing. The Rafael was yanked from another sim because Dassault, I believe, dropped the copyright issue on their heads. Classification is only a part of it.:(

:megalol::thumbup: Very nice skins by the way!:smilewink:

There was a pretty lengthy discussion on this a while back, and as far as I read, ED is looking at it. Just lots of speculation about the remainder. I'm sure that if they would fix it, it's probably way down on their list of fixes. As an avid WW2 guy I hope its sooner rather than later. With 1.5 and later with 2.0 who knows when that may be. Fingers crossed though! Siths post: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2436262&postcount=175 and the thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=131874&highlight=Rockets

Adding an over the shoulder capable missile to DCS would be heart breaking! Lol Your trailing a Mirage 2K, see a missile launch and it immediately comes right back at you! I would be a sight to watch, right up to the point it shreds your aircraft!:megalol:

So it will be like the CCRP "Toss" bombing in the FC3 SU-27? Swell, straight and level bombing always seems so boring to me! Looks like I'm going to have to make some new friends flying A-10s and the F/A-18s when they get released to do some spotting for me.

I imagine once we get the 2k much of the info will be covered in the training videos? [emoji6] As far as tactic for weapons employment we should be bugging Mirage pilots not the devs. Most of it we have to develop our own Tactics, Technics, and Procedures for the aircraft. Cause who reads manuals anyways![emoji4] Looks great guys nice work!

Avialogs.com is a great resource for flight manual civilian and military. Many if not all are scanned originals.:book: :smartass: If you pay for a membership you can download the PDFs as well. Happy Flying! http://www.avialogs.com

HORTON Ho229 v4+ by Polychop Simulations
Cool Breeze replied to borchi_2b's topic in Polychop-Simulations
I would like to see this aircraft as a minimum of an AI aircraft. It will be a challenge to fly. Mmmmm, English Channel scenarios with the Hortens and 262s racing across the channel with vampires and meteors scrambling to meet them! It would be neat to see a P-80 Shooting Star later! -
The RB.199 of the Tornado is also equipped with thrust reverse! I think I would buy almost anything Leatherneck decided to produce. Much to my wife and wallets dismay![emoji13]
-
What if we landed said aircraft intact in a road or field? Could we call up a heavy lift transport helicopter and take it back to base for the airframe credit?[emoji12]
-
This would require persistent aircraft, very cool idea in my opinion, and a persistent dynamic campaign that would take repair time into account for battle progress while you and your aircraft await repairs. It took expeditionary Airmen in Iraq five days to change an engine and repair damage sustained in an air to air refueling accident. While I'm all for as much "realism" as we can get in DCS maybe that's a touch to much. Suddenly, shadow puppets and comedy routines come to mind![emoji23]

I'm right there with you Hueyman! With all of the other American PTO aircraft coming out F8F-2 Bearcat, F6F Hellcat, and F4F Wildcat, talk about reping the Ironworks:megalol:! The later models of the Corsair would round out the Navy and Marine Corps fighter collection in that theater! :shocking: Oh, the possibilities!
-
Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that we will be getting an F-4. Given the difficulties of other developers attempting the same aircraft. It's been mentioned that there still is much classified about the Phantom. :( While I won't rule it out for the future, maybe something will shake loose! I would dearly love to push Ole' Smokey around the DCS virtual skies!

Leatherneck Simulations Mini-Update - SEPTEMBER 2015
Cool Breeze replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Great update guys thanks much! I'm stoked to hear about the projects that y'all have had under raps! Interesting that some of the systems are going to be more complex that the Tomcat! I'm looking forward to the manual! LOL y'all are going to have a lot of my money this fall! -
Thank you all for the excellent documents! Anyone interested in giving German lessons?:book: Hope to see her in DCSW2!

The Tomcat at full extension had a lighter wing loading than the Eagle. Which allows for better turning performance. The photo, supposedly, is from a series of mock dogfights fought by Tomcats and Eagles.:megalol: Donald E. Auten writes briefly about the engagements in "Rodger Ball". If you have the inclination it is a very good read!:book: http://www.amazon.com/ROGER-BALL-ODYSSEY-MONROE-FIGHTER/dp/1605280054
