  1. RAZBAMs A-7E is in the works, and that could fill the bill for a Naval, Marine Corps, and Air Force fighter bomber. I think a "proxy" war is applicable in any of the upcoming maps, with the exception of NTTR. Though I'm in favour of having the aircraft and appropriate ground units before or worth the map.
  2. The Eurofighter is being done by VEAO. I wouldn't expect it for about a year and a half to two years.
  3. The A-37 is a multi-seat COIN aircraft, not a trainer. The trainer is the T-37. Same basic aircraft, but like comparing the F-5F to the T-38. It's just another wishlist aircraft folks. I wouldn't mind seeing it at a much later date. After some other choice aircraft.
  4. Nice work gents! Looking forward to it!
  5. Wow that is a lot of drift for a three to four hour! But the hogs were supposed to be a daylight VFR war fight. Still begs the question of how much drift we can expect. I've only flown the GPS heavy A-10C and the props where it isn't an option.
  6. I'm wondering why it wouldn't be? IMO folks would be screaming for INS drift, because well realism. It would make it interesting having to compensate for it. My question would be how much drift is possible for the INS over, say an hour. The drift would be increased by maneuvering, yes?
  7. Load outs are still up in the air at the moment. It all depends on the time frame of the A model they are building. I believe it was mentioned that the Tomcat received the LANTIRN pod in the mid 90s across all three models. There has been hinting the initial release will cover the mid to late 80s A. If that is the case then I would say no. LN is also slated to bring forth a B model Tomcat. So maybe with that release? LN have been very tight lipped about what is coming this year and early next year.
  8. Well I suppose it proves that the wing flexing works....
  9. Very true![emoji106] Believe I'm waiting with baited breathe on those bombers and many more! I'm looking forward to the coming year! So much to be revealed. I just with developers could share their WIP without so much nitpicky misbehaving by the forums! Drives me nuts, and the speculation is killing me. Looking forward to an update.[emoji2]
  10. Why do Navy Planes Have Tailhooks? Unbelievably, people don't realize that after a tough day of flying on and off of an aircraft carrier the planes are always washed, and they use the hooks to hang the planes over the side to drip dry.
  11. Lol![emoji106] The ultimate heavy lift aircraft! It would be more "complex" than the Tomcat. You need a flight engineer to fly the thing! Lol[emoji23]
  12. A light crosswind may require only a bit of rudder input. A higher crosswind would require more rudder, and thusly requiring adding aileron input to counteract the rolling moment.
  13. The rudder also causes a rolling motion because it is out side of the long axis of the aircraft and produces a bit of torque to the airframe. The aerodynamic effects on the wing just exacerbate the roll. FBW systems helps the aircraft maintain stablility within certain parameters and limit control forces that may break the aircraft or incapacitate the pilot. Pilots can still perform cross control maneuvers and the like. Try flying the Su-27 with the FBW system disengaged, I think it's the "S" key. It's a very wild ride![emoji12] http://www.howitworksdaily.com/what-is-a-fly-by-wire-system/
  14. :lol::thumbup:
  15. Removing this because it's off topic...
  16. I think that is easily one of the best gun kills I have seen DCS! Well done!
  17. I had a similar problem with an F-86 in a multiplayer map a couple of days ago. I'll try to recreate and post in the appropriate thread.
  18. Something I never considered till I read this.... While I'm dying for a new prop aircraft! It would be very amusing if the two unannounced aircraft where both Viggens! The intercept and ground attack variants in one announcement!
  19. Detailed ground crew would be nice immersive experience. I think it's a feature that would only work in single player. The drain on computer resources would go up with dozens of NPCs running around marshalling aircraft. Multiplayer hardly bares thinking about. Movement, takeoff and landings at the airbases are chaotic at best. Carrier ops would be a nightmare! I can imagine the discontent on the servers when someone pulls in front of a landing aircraft! That being said a much improved ATC giving taxi directions, takeoff and landing clearances in single player would be much more immersive!
  20. Beautiful work! While it may be ordinary it's pretty extraordinary to me! I can barely get Photoshop to do what I want most of the time lol! The Mig-15 is one of my favorite modules, despite being trouble with her. Nice to see her getting some love!
  21. So going to build this when I get home!
  22. Very nicely done! Excellent video!
  23. Nice pass! [emoji2] Would it be better to use CCRP mode in those low altitude situations? That way you are not diving on the target? Or does that just make me a better target?
  24. Down that road lies madness! I don't see us hearing anything till they are ready.
