  3. Damn it, Thank you so much guys for the info. I set a waypoint on the target but didnt set it to 0. Cannot wait to have another go. Its great to know that someone might have the info that can help you to move leaps and bounds. I hope it all works out Cheers
  4. I hope someone can give me some pointers. I load the flir etc with weapons. I set a waypoint to the ground target and when I set waypoint 1 and then select waypoint designate, the tpod is looking into the sky and I cannot get close to the target and wh3n I eventually find the target, I have to keep adjusting the camera as it moves so quickly past. I have watched so many videos on this (Wags, Reapers etc) and use them but I still find it difficult. If the tpod would stay over the target or close to it, then the rest is no problem. Any help appreciated
  5. Ok, thanks. I can get the skin to be in the AI menu but it doesnt load. I have it available for USA and UK. This is a downloaded skin. When I get time, I will pm you if no luck. Many Thanks
  6. Many thanks for the test. It has to be something silly. The hornet folder works fine. I will look again but will do a repair just in case. Im using the 2.7.1 stable version, but that shouldnt be a problem. Cheers
  7. Thought someone might know if something had changed in the 2.7 structure I have never had a problem before as I create skins and missions. All other AI skins work apart from the f18s and f14s. Their folder names are correct. Maybe a repair after the 2.7 install? I have gone through the root folder as well where the originals are. Will keep at it. Cheers
  8. I tried installing to the saved games folder but when I load an AI plane in ME (F18C), I don't see the liveries, only defaults. How do we get them to show?
  9. I think I've managed it once. What is it with the AI? I've tried takeoff from carrier and to land with no results. Tried in air to carrier and from airfield to carrier. All with AI circling the carrier and nothing else. I have given them different amounts of fuel as well. Each waypoint to the carrier has been given lower speeds and altitudes. Any help would be great Update: - Stupido me was using F18 Lot20 instead of the AI versions. Tried the F14A as well and they landed perfectly. What was I thinking!!!!!!!! At least I have it sorted.....Yippee

  11. I would like to know if I set more than 1 waypoint, do I need to add Tacan and ILS etc to all waypoints or just the beginning? At the moment, I add them to all points. Cheers
  12. I know there have been many questions about this but I used to be able to get my bomber groups to bomb a target with a little coaxing, but now the AI seems to be all over the place. I created a mission with 3 bomb groups of 4 planes each, B1B x 2 and F117 x 1, 12 planes in all. Their IP waypoint is approx 10 miles from the targets and 8000ft. As soon as they reached their specific targets, they turned around and came home. I was wondering if the groups should be just 2 planes instead of 4. I have given them as many commands as necessary but with no luck. If anyone can shed some light on this, it would not only help me but many others. Anything with triggers that could help also. It's such an integral part of mission building to give so much atmosphere. I am now testing with varying numbers of planes and formations, and if I get some good results, I will write up my findings. Cheers Update : I found that I can use 4 plane groups but possibly more. Make sure at least 4 or 5 miles distance between targets and 10 miles from IP. With big bombers, I set formation to Trail and close 0 - 1389. I tried 4 groups of 4 to hit 4 targets and it worked a treat.
  13. What I tried to do didn't work. I will look at the triggers and see if it will help. I wish the ai were a little more solid and would do what you ask. Bombing is a real pain. Sometimes it works great and then others, they act very strangely. I seem to be doing so much study and not enough flying lol.

  15. Is there a way to get an AI group to circle until all are airborne and then to continue on route? I have 3 different groups to do ground attack on specific area but want them to reach their target at certain times. I think I might be asking a lot here but I thought I would ask. I see there is a time setting in the ME for waypoint. If I set this, will this make all planes in group arrive at same time before heading to next waypoint? Cheers

  18. Hi Joey, Hermes looks great. Only problem I'm having is with multiplayer. I create the mission but when I host, my brother cannot join. I tried other missions and they work fine. Also removed Hermes from new mission and he could join OK. Any ideas??
  19. Hey rwbishUP, after a lot of testing, I have managed to adjust a group of 4 planes. You need to select the plane you want to position then slowly zoom out. Keep checking until you are able to move the plane. Took ages to figure it out but it works. You will have to keep zooming in and out to check position of each plane but it is worth it. Hope this helps you out and others as well.
  20. Hope someone can help as it is driving me mad. I can place the supercarrier and create a group as well as move the individual ships to position them. I place a group of 4 AI planes but can only move the 1st plane along with the others. Is it possible to move the individual planes to bring them into position like the ships? I feel I was able to do this a while back. The 1st 2 planes are together but the 2nd 2 are quite a distance apart.
  21. Do the Mist respawn scripts still work in multiplayer? I am using Stable version. I need to be able to respawn my group if one or more is destroyed so we dont have to keep exiting the server to start again. Tried escaping and then reselecting role but nothing happened. Any info would be great
  22. Had problems with this for years. Watched a replay the other day with a harrier landing on carrier but it never arrived ha ha. Watched the video on this page and very interesting but why should you have to go to all that?
  23. I noticed when replaying a track in multiplayer, only the pilot is animated. Will this be worked on or am I asking too much. Also, the pilot movement is very jittery. Any info would be great
