Not sure if this has been asked before but is there a way to set the zoom further out from your plane when you first go into the moving map? I have it set so I am following my plane with Ctrl + F10. It would save so much time having to zoom out and if flying low. Cheers

A stupid question maybe, but, I noticed the head movement was greatas I was looking at co pilots plane but not in mine. Is that because I was hosting? Or is there a keystroke I've missed? Cheers -

This is fantastic. Love flying this plane. Hope the damage model gets a little work as teaching my brother to land was quite funny watching him bounce of the runway like a springy kangeroo ha ha. Then he made a blunder near the runway apron and blew up. Cheers -

When I placed the Stennis in, in the Advanced Waypoint, it had Activate Tacan as Perform Task. When I came to save the mission, In the Mods Required box it mentioned the 3 ships mod and LSO Scripts. As I didn't have these, DCS crashed. All I want to know is which mods are needed for this. Is it the VFA PLAT LSO mod? And is there anything else I need? I also have Carrier mods installed. Cheers

I was placing Carriers for mission Stennis and Bush, then noticed the requirements when saving. It needs 3 ship mod and scripts. Can someone tell me which ship mod and which scripts do I need. I tried different Carriers. In advanced waypoint it already had activate TACAN. Cheers

I am creating a mission where the airport is being bombed by enemy artillery and have to get airborne before the airfield is destroyed. Mission start is 7am. I want the bombing to start immediately. Can I set the time start command less than 7am say 6.58 or has it got to start as the mission start time? Hope I have explained it properly Cheers

He has the same build as me. I don't think it would be too stressed over that really. I will look into it and check -
TrackIR and Opentrack/Delanclip/PS Eye

Thanks Tiramisu We did a check with the CLEye Test and it showed the lights in centre and tracking. He has to wear glasses for the PC and I noticed a slight reflection at one point but nothing massive. The crazy thing is, this has been working great with rfactor and other flight sims so it has to be something silly. -
TrackIR and Opentrack/Delanclip/PS Eye
tmansteve replied to imacken's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi All Got my brother interested in DCS and decided to send him my Delan Clip and PS3 Eye camera. It has been working a treat on other sims but when using it with DCS, he cannot look down far enough to view the switches on left and right sides of the plane. If he tries to push it, he is flipped back up looking at the sky which makes him feel sick. Is this a curves issue or would reinstalling opentrack be a better option. At a bit of a loss as what to try as he is quite a distance from me and need to relay it simply for him. I am now using Trackir so haven't got anything to relate to apart from looking at videos and loading up opentrack to try and fathom it out. Any help or ideas would be greatfully received. Cheers Steve -
Ive had huge problems after installing voiceattack 1.7.3. Updated the Viacompro but no joy. I am going to go back to 1.7.2 Has anyone done this by installing older version over the top or is it a new install? And can i install latest Viacompro 2.5.6 with voiceattack 1.7.2? Got 1.7.2 up and running and no problems so far. Now all I need to know about is Viacompro.

DHR, it shouldnt matter which you install into. I have mine in both 2.5.3 stable and openbeta. In your saved games folder, you should have a Mods folder, if not create one, then inside this folder, create 3 more folders. aircraft, tech and terrain folders. Then unzip the downloaded mod ver 1.011. This has already got the structure so open the folders until you get to the airplaine folder A-4E-C and drop that into your Mods/aircraft folder. When you install a mod into the mods folder, it only requires the mods named folder with all files in it. If you tried to install the mod with other folders, it cant find it. Hope this is ok. Ifnot, let me know and I will make it more simplified as possible. -

I feel there should be an area where we can ask questons about bugs etc as I am finding it hard to know where to ask. I totally agree Rudel. -

Having problems with my trackir. Working on all other modules but not on this. I am going to use a default from another plane to see if it kicks into gear. If that doesnt work, I will reinstall the mod again. Do I need external trackir views enabled? Any other ideas would be great Cheers Update: Deleting Headtracker, Mouse and Trackir folders from Input folder allowed my Trackir to work great. Deleting the folders replaced the text that was missing in the options/Axis Commands. -

I hosted a 2 player and noticed that my fuel gauge isn't working but the 2nd players was fine. Is this a hosting problem or should I just uninstall and reinstall? Cheers -
Made a simple mission for 2 players, I hosted and the cockpit was crystal clear. The other player who joined was having trouble reading the dials in his plane. Our options and settings were identical. Is this a problem on the host side or dcs server? Is there something else I can do for the player joining? Cheers

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but, I noticed that Viacom has it's own folder with Export.lua. Do we still need the lines in the main Export.lua? or can we remove the lines? Cheers

Downloading as I write. Cannot thank the team enough for this fantastic addition. Cant wait to get this airborne and test her out. Great times. :pilotfly:  -
Hi Dutch. You can edit your logbook if you want to by opening it in notepad++ and where your pilot name is scroll down to where it says dead = true and change it to false. Saved games/mission editor logbook.lua. Happy flying
