Had to say a big thank you to you guys for the hard work. Gratitude indeed. The plane looks so good and can't wait to fly it. Keep up the great work and i will be watching this with baited breath. Simply amazing

I totally understand regarding personal callsigns. This is still going to be fantastic. I realise only too well the mamoth job ahead, but with a good team together, this will be a lot easier to develop.

This is amazing Airoge. Of all the mods out there, this one should top the lot. BoneDust, your wifes voice is perfect, great relaxed sound. I would love my callsign in there but will wait until later as you have so much work to do. "Foinaven" by the way. Might be stretching it a bit ha ha......Foy n ayven ??????

Panavia Tornado [WIP]

Drat and double drat. Got too carried away with the idea. Never mind, i will just sulk in the corner -
Totally agree, though I have both versions. The problem for me is so many chat programs. It would be nice to see a standard for this. I have to get all up and running as some servers use discord or teamspeak, srs or both.

VSN flyable aircraft mods
tmansteve replied to razo+r's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Does the F18C folding wings work as the F18 2 seater? Tried it but nothing -
As soon as you tell them to break, then it will revert back. At least you have them flying with you as you would like. I am still looking into ideas but this is as good as it gets for now. Great for formation fly past as in display. I dont think it would change even if it was a seperate flight. You never know what might happen yet

Just watched the trailer and was blown away. Anyone know if there will be a significant hit on performance compared to other modules?

DCS Mission Editor Follow Task for AI Formation 1. Place your plane on airfield or in sky. 2. Create Waypoints for your flyable plane, not for AI. 3. Then Place AI close to Left and Right side of your plane or just to one side if preferred. 4. Then select your AI plane on Left or Right and select Advanced Waypoint Actions. 5. In the Menu on the left use: - Type Perform Task Action Follow Number 1 Enabled Group New Airplane Group When I inserted the AI, I made sure they were as separate individuals. Then select plane on left or right and use the example below for reference. This I tested with the AV8 Harrier. Right Side Distance: = -10ft Your X Axis. The minus data is to place the plane 10ft back from you. A normal number data = Ahead, A minus number data = Behind Elevation: = 0ft Your Y Axis. This data is to place the plane above or below you. 0 = (Level). A normal number data = Higher, A minus number data = Lower Interval: = 100ft Your Z Axis. This is to place the plane 100ft to the right of you. A normal number data = Right, A minus number data = Left Left Side Distance: = -10ft Elevation: = 0ft Interval: = -100ft I have had the AI flying very close to me without crashing, but you will have to do some testing yourself to see what is OK for you. I tested the F18C, and I had to do some tweaking as when the planes got into formation, they suddenly were flying above me as they were too close. After giving them more space, all went fine. Just remember, this is for formation flying and if you tell them to break, they might not come back as close as before. If there is something I've missed, just get in touch. Have Fun!!!!

The default distances are miles aaway to me. If you want them to fly very close, you have to make a mission and set the Follow Task. If you are unsure, I will post info for you that I gained from the forum. I have done a lot of testing and you will have to give each plane module different values depending on the wingspan.

Hi Frag, I have mine as close as I can when doing formation flying practice. When you place your AI in a mission, add the task for follow and then insert the distances. Ahead or Behind, to Right or Left of you and also Above and Below. You have to test each module you have as my distances for the harrier did not work with the hornet. When they got into formation, they fley above me, so a little adjustment and they were fine. If you know the follow task or need some help, just ask.

Panavia Tornado [WIP]

If this comes to fruition, oh my god. I just cant keep still with excitment. I really hope this doesnt fall by the wayside. Keep up the good work. It looks amazing -
Just received my new HOTAS and it feels so much better than the Hotas X. One thing I would like to know is, has anyone adjusted the tension on the throttle or left it as is? Not sure how much leeway there is on the screw. Cheers

I have linked the saved games folders between the 2 but need to know the procedure if there is one for Openbeta and DCS Stable as some mods need to be in the root of the sim and want to save space. I use F:\> for the DCS Installs, using /J. Should I use /D? Any help would be great

I now only have 2.5 OB and Stable. As it happened in the stable version with no internal or external sound, I have reported it to Belsimtek on Facebook. Might get a reply but not holding my breath. Now to check OB.

When I get some time, count me in. Its nice to see that other modules are getting a look in. I cant afford to keep buying as soon as something new comes out. Nice to see older planes in the air.
-
Well, i know im not the only one. Will try that in a test and see what happens.
-
Ok rudel. It looks like you have mklink? I did that with your post to me with my input folder. I will try this and see, I think I had a problem last time with no recognition so I just installed to the main dcs folder. Thanks

Hey LRRP, if you remember me saying, ive flown the sabre for 2 years. Maybe not to your standards. That anti icing front panel had me ha ha. Hope to see more next time. Have a problem at mo. Now after a short flight, I get total sound loss. Ive contacted Belsimtek about this.
-
Absolutely fantastic. Well introduced and very easy to follow. Many thanks
-
Had great sound and then after a short flight, the sound cut out completely. Haven't modded the sabre so any ideas? Not worth flying if this is going to happen all the time. It was just external sounds that went before. Any links to new sounds or updates? Cheers

Do I need to make a Coremods folder to allow me to install liveries in the dcs saved games folder? Or do I just make a liveries folder? Cheers
-
Sure thing Dai-San. If i get time this week i will look you up. Cheers for the invite

Hey Zulu40, seems we are not alone in this. Lots of problems with multiplayer. I connected to a server yesterday and had no problems. This had been loaded on request though. Still a wait for the briefing page but once in, not too bad. They must be working on this as they couldnt leave it as it is.
