  1. Why does that matter? You can have a decent mod through what's publicly available...look at the P3D F-35, just because we don't have the -1/-34 doesn't mean we can't guess. I would kill for an SFM/ASM F-22 or F-35. I'd pay for it too. :joystick: Does anyone here think FC3, A-10, MiG-21, anything in the sim, is 100% realistic?
  2. ^Or we could get a European variant of the F-16...I bet you didn't consider that :D Anyway, I'd like a Tornado F3. I think the later F3s had ASRAAMs...good missile, funny name if you say it wrong. :megalol:
  3. It just looks cool. I fly around with that on sometimes when training...Now if only we had CATM-9 and -120 on the F-15. :) As for IRL, I think its like a Tacview recorder or something...
  4. Same here, although for me this thing has been twitchy since I got it in February 2015... I sorta got used to it.
  5. It means that GG and his buddy ran away from me at mach 2.606! :megalol: I was trying to chase him down in a Flanker, but it had something like 60% fuel in it...that didn't work. :D
  6. Yep, 2.606 is the max in-game. Found that out the hard way when I tried chasing down a few Eagles that had unlimited fuel...in a half-fueled Flanker.
  7. I'll see if I can dig up a tacview or two about Rmin 120C and B shots... The B turns a lot better in, for example, two circle fights at SL, F-15 vs F-15...I use 2 Bs when taking an 8 AMRAAM load instead of 9Ms. If we had that certain AIM-9 model that everyone wants I wouldn't take 8 AMRAAMs, though.
  8. ^That too...why is this in the military thread if its a DCS-specific topic?
  9. The 120B turns a bit better while burning... Good for Rmin shots, but inferior to the C in BVR.
  10. He has got to mean Flanker and not Falcon...Click his name then click find more posts; he made a post regarding this in May 2015... And funnily enough, it referenced Falcon seemingly in place of Flanker, too! :D
  11. That is awesome... ED, please add more silly easter eggs like this in future maps! Edit: the lat/lon of the bug is 37 30 01 N 115 37 38 W
  12. ^I don't think so, I think it's been said that the seeker "sees" chaff in the LoS and rolls the dice on what it wants to track. Physics physics physics..........or their (somewhat) less (development) time-intensive equivalents. Edit: Or maybe its not a time thing, I don't know...I'd expect GG or somebody of the type to explain/correct that... He said something about chaff modeling in the ER thread that stuck with me, apparently what we have is basically how it works, but just less technically in depth or something.
  13. Outdated or not, still looks cool and makes me happy! :) haha just saw Mako's post...
  14. Oh yay this thread again. lol. Edit: thread necro ftw.
  15. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/645693/ Check the linked document. Specifically time to climb, read the fine print. :D Basically, If you're on full burner for the climb-out hold 350 knots on the HUD until you get to mach 0.95 and hold that instead. For military thrust (max thrust without afterburner), hold 350 until mach 0.9 then use that to your climb altitude. EDIT: By the way, check the drag index thing listed for each weapon and store that you put on your jet, its near the top of the manual linked above Feel free to correct me, I'm having problems reading the manual on my main screen right now...I need new glasses, lol.
  16. Look at the bottom left of the editor loadout screen with anti-ship role selected, you should see something like 'New' or 'New Payload' or perhaps 'Create Payload' (I forget, but you should see it :) ) and hit that, name your payload, then try to add weapons. You can't modify the 'Empty' loadout, the selection won't come up (for good reason), you have to select or create a different loadout for that. Edit, by the way, there's an option to export and copy payloads on the bottom left, too.
  17. Those models are awesome!
  18. You won't see a difference with the W key unless you're at high AOA (i haven't tried your mission yet, don't have time).

    F-15E?

Scorch and Chev are trying to say they want a fully modeled F-15C too :D Belsimtek apparently wants to do a C to the ASM level (they did the PFM on it in FC3). It was on their website a while ago that they were looking into it.

    F-15E?

    Hmm, interesting :)

    F-15E?

Some people have... In-fact, the 120A hater and his friends have. :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=131806 But yeah, good luck with 120D...I haven't even found pictures of it, although F-15 pilots were saying they've shot it like at least 6 months ago. So we'll wait 20 years for a proper simulation of it :D Anyways, I could care less about 120s because I'll be packing AGM-130s on the wings! :joystick: (IIRC you can't carry 120s on the wing stations with GBU-15/AGM-130 attached below- forget where I read that)
  22. ^No, it doesn't disable the FCS and AOA limiter; That would be the 'S' key. Wheel brake just allows for maximum stick/rudder travel (minus roll, that is limited) at high AOA/G. Although pulling maximum structural G (like 12-15+) should break the plane and kill you...but it doesn't yet, so guys like Stuge'll keep pulling off their crazy 25g 45 dps vertical 1c merges. :D
  23. I believe that "simple" warhead means it's using the in-game simple warhead logic and not the advanced one, don't know what the differences are though...doubt its any slight at the missile's capabilities.
  24. So...LAU-105 with AIM-9X on the outer racks? JK, those things are worse than Magic... Seriously though, thanks for the addition, I don't fly the mirage much, but that ought to make things a LOT more fun for those that fly it.
