  1. Thank you guys, no worries. We'll be here...

    sooo

There are no loses in M3. We are in the loop for long time, we learned a lot: progress is faster then before, thus effectiveness is actually increased. We could use few contracted people to help us with certain things, but before we start looking for them, we have to do other things. No worries, all is fine.
  3. I remember 3 of us tested "parking issue" in NTTR in several locations: we were unable to reproduce the "zero FPS" although some FPS drop was obvious. Still, the game was playable. I suggest you avoid parking near AI aircraft and don't use taxi/landing lights if you musn't. There was no clear conclusion to this problem.
  4. Hey guys, "backers issue" have been a great burden on our shoulder, since the beginning, in many ways. But in short, we at M3 have serious intent to honor the original MiG backers. Stuff that other people promised to you - not being anyone of us - we can't deliver (we don't posses what's promised). We will provide other mean of reward; personally, I would like to go with a key for our next aircraft, the most elegant solution. Rudel and Roland might have some other ideas, so we will talk, make decision and let you guys know. As I have mentioned, I simply can't forget the backers.
  5. Thank you guys - means a lot to us. Note that we recently dedicated significant time to further improve the module. We are working on it each day for some time. We hope a patch will be released soon.
  6. Zero is on our list. I hope we will get there. It won't be easy for the Zero since it's Japanese plane: documentation could be problematic.
  7. We did not get to the point of weapons implementation, apart from internal guns. Once we restart development, we will equip the Corsair with everything it historically had - provided we can implement it.
  8. Corsair is unfortunate remnant of "Pacific theatre" set of aircraft we had plans to develop 3 years ago. It was mostly me who was working on it since I had to make some research to prepare myself and a tem for large Pacific project (many human and AI planes, ships, ground units, and a map) and I needed single-piston-engine aircraft. Corsair was good enough for that purpose, since other aircraft had no finished-functional 3d model. NOTE: even the Corsair hadn't finished 3d model, but it was looking good enough. Corsair was in a good shape back in 2015 and beginning of 2016, but then mostly abandoned due to our internal problems. I felt bad about that aircraft, having a feeling it will go down the drain eventually, so we made a deal to take it, giving some of our rights in return. I hope it will be well done and accepted once we shift our focus to it again. It's very interesting aircraft. The most impressive is it's size and power, at least to me.

Hey guys, apart from what's being said in previous posts, let me say that we have our surprises. Apart from the Corsair and MiG bugs, I can't tell you what we are working on at the moment. Maybe it's best not to think about it too much, since we can't announce anything until we get the contract. If the situation was bit better, we might just had it so far. I wish we did.
  10. Let's do it Esac, thank you for mentioning this. I wan't to do it - a master change-log for 21 here on forum. Let's wait few more days until the forum is restructured. Please PM me once you believe it's a good time to do it (otherwise I'll just forget it, we are 100% cluttered at the moment). Best regards to all!
  11. Implement Hey Redglyph, thank you for testing and taking care of MiG Nevada NAVs database! Please PM me when you have some time, let's see if we can put updated NAV data into the next MiG patch with your permission.
  12. We will try to keep you updated with relevant stuff as often as we can. Note we are a small team, thus extremely busy. With resources such are this forum, YouTube, Facebook, Mantis bugtracker and the site, I'm sure you guys will have plenty of info at any time.
  13. Some quick answers Guys, just few quick answers to some of your questions. "Do both teams (MAGNITUDE 3 LLC and Heatblur Simulations) have the license from ED as third party developer?" "Dolphin887, MAGNITUDE 3 LLC maintain the Corsair / Iwo Jima project or has been depleted?" Thanks to TFC/ED understanding and patience, M3 acquired the contracts for MiG-21 and the Corsair, while we will release our rights for Viggen and the Tomcat to Heatblur once the transition is over as agreed. For clarification, we are not receiving royalties for Viggen, so split is clear concerning the project ownership. Iwo Jima is on ice at the moment, since we have no staff for such a complex and time consuming development such is theater creation. This might change in future - but no promises, it’s too farfetched at the moment. "So I guess this means that the original Mig-21 kickstarter backers will never see anything that we were promised by LN." Backers issue is one of the most worrying issues to me since the very start. It was myself who created complete backers list pushing for honoring them, but I was never in charge over the funds, leaving me without power to solve the issue. Note that we never saw a single dime out of the money collected there. Nevertheless, I felt and still feel responsible, and I want to fix this issue once and for all. All I can promise at this very moment is that the backers will be honored if with nothing else then with a key for our next aircraft. I wish I could tell more at this point, but there are lot of unknowns. Nevertheless, we did not forget you guys. How can we? "Mig-21bis will be upgraded to DCS level?" We are stabilizing now and things are looking brighter. Recently I fixed some bugs in AFM and I know you are going to like the fixes once we release the patch. Just today Radu pinged me about weapon systems, and we are going to improve that system next. We will deliver - have no doubt. Apart from that, please note that it was MiG-21 that significantly raised the level in the world of flight simulators in general. As with any new thing, it shook foundations of development, and things moved on "all fronts", for everyone, for the better. We learned a lot, made many mistakes, learned to crawl, then walk, then run, and we will provide some amazing things in future. It was not easy, but MiG-21 is a good module, and it will get even better. I wish to thank everyone and especially RU forum community and ED/BELSIMTEK for their patience, I know it was not easy for you guys, but you can’t possibly imagine how it was for us. "Why is it that I feel like the child of a set of parents that have just announced that they are getting a divorce?" Have faith, we will return soon. TFC/ED have faith in us and we won’t let neither them nor you guys down. Hiromachi: "...And with no news on what they are up to now. Looks to me like MAGNITUDE is going to have a very hard time." True. We will make announcements on restructured forum, most likely early next week. Have faith. We are the fighters. Thank you for your support and comments. We will move to new forum soon (old - but restructured forum), most likely early next week, with more details hopefully answering most of your concerns. Best regards to all, and please have no worries concerning the LNS / M3.
  14. Dear everyone, For almost three years we’ve been enjoying your overwhelming interest and support, successfully walking a very difficult road together and reaching a highly professional level in game development for our beloved platform –Digital Combat Simulator. As you know, a business development resembles real life in many aspects; and apart from the amazing experiences we’ve had these years, there have also been some business and management issues and disagreements within our team. As in real life, problems have to be dealt with in a rational manner in order to keep things moving forward. This often results in having to make hard decisions for a better and more secure future. The original “Leatherneck Simulations” four-people team has decided to part ways: three of us (Michael, Radu and Novak) will remain under one umbrella by creating a new company – MAGNITUDE 3 LLC, based in Florida, USA. MAGNITUDE 3 LLC has acquired the rights to the “Leatherneck Simulations” brand and DCS: MiG-21Bis module. At the moment, we have three permanent staff members and two contract members. Nicholas Dackard has acquired the rights for the DCS: AJS-37 Viggen and DCS: F14-A/B projects, which will be branded under a different company. As for the future of “Leatherneck Simulations” and MAGNITUDE 3 LLC, here’s our agenda. Our short-terms goals (3 months, JAN-MAR 2017) for MAGNITUDE 3 are: - Regain financial stability, - Setup stable development infrastructure and staff, - Setup stable customer support infrastructure and services. Our medium-term goals (12 months, JAN 2017-JAN 2018) are: - Improve staff work flow, - Release a new DCS module, which is now in development, - Improve customer support for increased workload for modules support. Our long-term goals (24+ months) are: - Stabilize stuff work flow (permanent stuff members), - Release another DCS module. Our permanent goals are to create superb DCS modules and support our customers. We are looking forward to these new challenges and sincerely hope to amaze you again with the modules we are developing for DCS. Last, but not least, we want to express our thanks and gratitude to TFC and Eagle Dynamics for helping through this complex transition. Wishing you all the best, “Leatherneck Simulations” guys, MAGNITUDE 3 LLC
  15. Thank you for your reports and log files. We are looking into this.
  16. MiG-21 has very complex 3d cockpit model, and complex external model. Along with that, we use high resolution textures and some lighting effects that - all together - impose significant demand on graphic card. We can't do anything about the FPS but to express our understanding for FPS related complains. All we can do is to recommend experimenting with graphic settings in DCS, along with settings of a graphic card itself (through the dedicated control panel). I would not know what exactly to recommend in case of VR, but you can take a look at other VR related topics and see if some users recommended some settings tuning.
  17. Confirmed, noted.
  18. Thank you Azrayen. We'll see what we can do for the next patch.
  19. Thank you for your report. This is partially in connection with reported "AoA 36 degrees lock" bug report, and partially with forces calculations during the roll. Fix will be available in next patch (hopefully).
  20. Thank you for your report. Aircraft behavior near critical and on supercritical AoA will be improved and available in the next patch.
  21. Thank you for your report. AoA indicated at maximum 35 degrees. External view shows global AoA 36. Local AoA is around 45. Aircraft behavior near critical and on supercritical AoA will be improved and available in the next patch.
  22. Most of these will be re/enabled for the upcoming update.
  23. Warthog guys, please provide following information: 1. exact description of a problem (the shorter - the better), 2. solution proposal (the shorter - the better), 3. improved OR new confirmed (working) inputs code you would like to see in next patch (or 1.5.0 release). Note that proposed solution have to be applicable to hardware other than the Warthog, and as little as possible extension to current inputs list. Improvements of present inputs will have priority over the new inputs addition. Few important things have a better chance to be officially implemented than a list of dozens of inputs, some rarely used in average gaming session. Worth mentioning: - None of us have a Warthog (not that I know), so we can't test every input. - We can't promise anything but a good will to take a look at this for a limited time.
