  2. Hi everyone, I'm trying to create a mission where we start à 3:40 am. So it's quite dark and we have to cross the channel to attack a mysterious objective in France. Problem : there is lot of Flak in France. the time we need to take off, regroup and cross the channel is about 30 to 40 minutes (the take off is retarded for some reason). So we arrive in France at about 4:10 to 4:20 and the sunlight make us quite visible. But, we are lucky the Flak don't even try to shoot ! So I make some test because in solo it shoot and on server I host (so not dedicated one), it shoot too. I make some test and modify the start time of the mission and placing a plane just off the French coast (about one minute to travel to the first AAA position) and I notice this With mission start at 4:20, Flak is there, quite heavy, and hard to cross (just as it should be). 88mm and 20 mm shoot without any problem. With mission start at 4:10, Flak is less present. 88mm shoot less and is less precise. 20mm don't even shoot. I tried to loop 10+ minutes to see if it wake up at 4:20 but no. It stay in sleep forever ... In fact that's not totally true. It wake up if I turn on the Nav light ! But it return to sleep few moment after you turn your light off again. So by those test, I think, on dedicated server, the AAA don't update is behavior with hour passing. It stay in the behavior it has at the mission start. And this behavior depend of the luminosity. (Please I'm using stable and it's quite disastrous for creating long mission scenario using the new light system ... don't let this behavior stay for month :helpsmilie ::cry: ) (* Please, help the Spitfire get shot down * ) :music_whistling:
  3. Oh yeas can't wait for both of them ! I'm just sad that this month will be really busy for work ! Will start flying as soon as possible and will make skin for it soon too ! :)

  5. I have a question about this timing. I'm trying to make a mission that start at night. In solo and when I host my server, I don't have problem. At night, AAA won't shoot (no light on map). And when daylight come, they start to spot and shoot at plane (pretty cool). It seems that something tell the AAA when it's too dark to spot and when it's ok. I imagine this timing is linked to the timing of the seachlight. My question is : Are the correctly activated at daylignt when using a dedicated server ? I have 2 mission. The first start at daylight => AAA shoot (solo, hosted server and dedicated) The second start at night => AAA never shoot (on dedicated server only) All AAA use the exact same setting.
  6. I talk about general armament. If you have special data about one particular gun it's cool too. Great if you are an expert in Spitfire armament. Ps : In my post I don't mean it's perfect in DCS. It's realistic to have different preset and it's a step in the good way with this update. But there is still lot to do. :smilewink:
  7. It's realistic. In the Raf, ammo was ordered by the ground crew. And then they made the ammo belt. Squadron who had to make interception or ground attack as regular task didn't had the same belt. So custom preset is great. In all country it work almost the same way. So all squadron could have a common ammo set that was different from another one. And some aces asked for special ammo belt. there is the story about an early war pilot (not sure about his nationality) that ask for belt with only armor piercing bullet. He come back with 4 or 5 kills on german bombers. Heard it was an Easter Egg you could find in the one of the last update of IL2 1946 (using his name as profile pilot and the correct plane, you get the special ammo belt). And if you want, the gun convergence was set the same way. Squadron could have particular setup and some pilots could have personalised one. I make a big post about that some time ago. Big step forward with those belt preset. Would love to know what is in those. Hope to see preset or the ability to modify convergence in special option of each plane. So yes, it's historically correct. :)

  13. As they don't stop to reapeat there are multiple team and as Supercarrier is not related to WW2, I don't think it would push back the release of the plane. :)
  14. At some distance, the helmet the visor get back in default position and don't move anymore. When close, It move with the rest of the Helmet See in multi on another F18 pilot in external view.

  17. Probably right for this picture. But Luftwaffe did use P51. There was an evaluation squadron where all captured plane were repaired and tested. Don't remember which one, but a great german aces used to go to the airfield where those plane were placed and often fly them to understand what they can and can't do.

  21. As the MW 50 only work when you are full power, I never noticed that because I always reduce power when I switch the MW 50 off. That's one member of my team that just tried the plane that say "hey the switch don't move". I noticed it too and tought it was only a visual bug. But when I made the video I Switch the MW50 without moving the power back for the first time since I have it. And I noticed the Mw 50 didn't turned off.
  22. The F8 was tested to use the Panzerblitz rocket (modified R4M rocket to be used against tank). But the war end before it was ready.
  23. Check with the separate bindings on ON and OFF. As I use separate bindings everywhere I didn't remember there was a switch position. The On position active the MW 50 and make the switch move forward. The Off position don't even shut down the MW 50. It does nothing at all. So it's not only a visual problem. Bug is there on the stable and the open beta version. There is a video to show the problem
  24. When using keyboard control the switch don't come back. It goes forward but never backward. Work perfectly when you click on it. EDIT : I was not precise enough : As I not use the switch but the ON and OFF control, I forgot that the switch exist. So I mean the OFF control (not the switch one). There is a video to show the problem Seems it's not only a visual problem. The Off position don't do anything. The MW 50 Stay on forever.
