Yes, that's quite normal. But 20 mm was deadly in dogfight because it was easier to aim with it. Bf 109G have a 20 mm in the nose making it a weapon of super precision. 30mm have few ammo and is more effective against bomber. I really really prefer to go and fight with 20mm than with 30mm. Will be able to make more hits to fighter with it.

Ps : Actually what we think in our squadron ! About 150 octane fuel. German don't have the C3 high octane fuel either. Would be interesting to have it if allies get the 150 oct for their plane

After an evening of testing, we notice multiple bug with Bf 109K4. First of all, it seems that it's not a problem of gun power as all guns seems to make significant damage to the plane. But the damage itself only appear and have no effect on the plane. Structural damage : We first try to shoot at the 109 with 13mm and then with MK108. MG131 : Plane let appear damage and we can see smoke trail from radiator. But when trying to make the wing brake (7 to 9G pull up), the wing never ripped off. Mk 108 : Thinking the wing was too strong to break it using MG 131, we tried to make the same test with MK 108. 5 time we make 1 impact in the wing with MK 108. For each time, the wing didn't break even if going to 9G. 2 time we make 2 impact of MK 108 => same result as before 2 time we make shoot 1 by 1 to see when wing would break. After 6 shoot => fuel tank was on fire (schrapnel) After 3 or 4 shoot => aileron ripped off and the bug already reported appear => when missing a mobile part such as aileron, elevator or rudder, 109 became completely unflayable (complete loss of control). Seems that structural damage due to impact is missing on the 109 wing. We were able to cut his tail with MK 108. We suspect that the structural failure problem could be related to the missing mobile part problem => as it was told to be internally corrected, I will test again after next update. System damage : Using 12.7 mm this time, it seems quite correct. With few impact (1 or 2 burst at convergence distance), the plane catch fire quite easily. it's possible to make lot of different damage. But (because there are always but) Gear drop due to damage seems to be not sync. Shooter see landing gear down. But Pilot of the 109 don't see it. When the damage actually happen from 109 pilot point of view, the gear pop back in the retracted positon for shooter view and them drop for everyone (it seems to be like that). Fire don't kill pilot Big fire behind the pilot (fuel tank) never kill the pilot => plane could continue to fly like nothing happen. But fire on the plane nose (engine fire) actually kill the pilot. Flight model behavior : Like for the spitfire : Damage to right wing = left roll behavior Damage to left wing = right roll behavior Seems inverted. Impossible to shoot off wings with mk 108

Here a vid with few 190 loosing a wing. But that's not the wing that is weak. This is more probably ammo that explode (from external MG 151/20) that break it. If you look closely, it explode always in the same area. And the only thing that can explode there are ammo. (I don't think this is modelised yet) To come back on title, I agree too that Mk 108 is a bit weak. Need at list 2 hit in an area to destroy something (except few lucky shot that make it 1 shoot) -
Hello, For now plane imat on ground are selected randomly. Is it possible to select the Imat for Warbirds when placed on the ground as static object. Thanks :)

Hi everyone, I'm planning a mission for the thursday 26/11 21h00 (20h00 UTC). This mission will be for us a server test for the upcoming multiplayer campaign we are working on (Febuary/March 2021). The goal of the mission is to escort / intercept a B17 Bomber box that go to Normandy to bomb an unknown target (unknown for the german). We look for people that are going to play the objective. This is not meant to be a simple dogfight mission. Flight is estimated 2h long. As we are a French team, Forum and Discord are in French. Don't hesitate to ask me if you need any help for the inscription. Have a good flight !

When looking at B17, the skin disapear and let appear the grey 3D model (it's not a grey skin but the 3D model without texture).

After testing few carpet bombing, I noticed that the multiple bomb explosion does not affect too much fps. But even at about 6000 feet, the game have hard time to play the smoke/dust effect of multiple bomb explosion. That make fps drop few secondes after bombs have exploded. Hard to make heavy bomb run with this as the game go at about 30 fps and under at this point to me (16Go Ram, I7 8700K and RTX 2070 Super). Will try to make a short mission with short track to add soon to this post. (both my test mission ate 1h30 to 2h long)

Hello, Is it possible to add a coalition selection when reaching a server. So when arriving I choose Axis or Allies but I don't see planeset of the other side and their Home base. The planeset of the selected side only show after the coalition selection. Would be nice so both side won't know about what is in the opposite side. Allow to have more surprise. (Would be nice too to add an option in the mission so the mission maker can hide or not in the score tab the plane of each pilot). Thanks.

I request again. It's really usefull when making navigation (not using any help). And it would be necessary when we will be able to make blind landing using AFN2. Can something be done to reduce the speed the instrumet move when we use the control ? Same request for Spitfire ! It's even more vital for the Spitfire ! Thanks

Hi, If mission start early, it's dark (night). DCA is not able to see and so it does not shoot. But even after sunrise, the behavior seems that is not updated. It won't shoot. Tried on the mission in this post. Start time 3:40 and Flak won't shoot when reaching french coast with sun quite high. Salut à tous, Nos entrainement sur Fw 190 A8 ont débuté en prévision de la campagne "Opération Fortitude" qui a été repoussée à la période février / mars 2021 (suite à des soucis techniques). Ces entrainements se déroulent les jeudi à 21h00. Tous les modules WW2 (sauf I16) sont disponibles. Mais les entrainements sont uniquement prévu sur le Fw 190 pour le moment. https://forums.gtac-sim.fr/ Pour y participer, il vous suffit de vous inscrire sur le forum et de vous présenter ou de nous rejoindre en tant que membre (recrutement). L'inscription sur le forum est nécessaire pour accéder à la plateforme d'inscription aux vols et également pour accéder à notre teamspeak. Pas besoin de niveau de base pour rejoindre les entrainements. Nous découvrons le module depuis la base du pilotage. Si vous êtes intéressé et motivé, n'hésitez pas ! Did you make the Anton start at the same altitude as the enemy? And what was the altitude ? Between 2000 and 3000m, the A8 is so disavantaged. It can't do anything against any enemy. I made some test with AI set like this : Veteran Rookie Veteran Trained. They fly well but they wont help the human that would take any place in it (except if they decide to attack the enemy that engage you). Another thing that could be interesting is to set up nearby AAA defenses. When combat not going well, pilot can either decide to try to continue or run away for cover. There were a lot of AAA everywhere in France. Finally, but I don't think it's possible in DCS. I did this in IL2 1946. I select for some plane which group to target in priority. So I'm able to create a battle with more plane that do not end up in a 20 vs 4 + 16. The cool think is that in IL2 they do their best to get the selected enemy group but if they another enemy attack, they defend themselves. And when the particular enemy group is downed, they go to another one.

Tlaking of this, is in the futur, a option to set the "age" of the plane is something you (ED) think about ? Not something that is necessarry. But could have some interest in campaigns. -

Weird, I'm sure it work as lot of people get it. Check the install. If I remember correctly, I choose that it could be used on all country. But try with 3rd Reich.
