We are having a strange problem with our servers disconnecting from the DCS Master Controller. The problem seems to be associated with Smart TVs on the network interacting with DCS Server. This is happening a two different locations where members are hosting the servers. The problem disappears if the SMART TV's are unplugged or moved to a different network. According to the logs, the problems occurs at the same the Smart TV encounters multiple connects and disconnects. Eventually the DCS MASTER terminates the connection with the servers. Here is an excerpt from the logs: 2024-11-05 02:06:14.482 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [SWD] SONY XR-83A90J 2024-11-05 02:06:16.686 WARNING LOG (956): 4 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2024-11-05 02:06:16.686 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [SWD] SONY XR-83A90J 2024-11-05 02:07:17.149 WARNING LOG (956): 4 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2024-11-05 02:07:17.149 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [SWD] SONY XR-83A90J 2024-11-05 02:07:20.415 WARNING LOG (956): 4 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2024-11-05 02:07:20.415 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [SWD] SONY XR-83A90J 2024-11-05 02:35:27.851 WARNING LOG (956): 4 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2024-11-05 02:35:27.851 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [SWD] SONY XR-83A90J 2024-11-05 05:28:35.375 WARNING LOG (956): 4 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2024-11-05 05:28:35.375 ERROR ASYNCNET (11856): HTTP request dcs:server:update failed with error 16: Error in the HTTP2 framing layer 2024-11-05 05:28:35.381 ERROR ASYNCNET (Main): Server update temporarily failed. One location involves a SONY Smart TV and the other a SAMSUNG TV. At first we thought there was some sort of internet connection error causing both the SMART TV's and the servers encounter errors, but AGAIN the problem DOES NOT occur if the ac power to the TVs are disconnected or the TV's put on a different network. It may be a windows problem. Both servers are running Windows 10 Pro. Why does DCS Server detect external network devices connecting and disconnecting from the network. I have tried blocking the IP addresses of the Smart TV's on the server machines' Window firewall, but the messages still show up in the DCS logs. Anyone have an idea of what's happening?

Eagle Dynamics "modular" dedicated server installer
TWC_Alamo replied to BIGNEWY's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
Interestingly enough, when I updated the old OpenBeta Server to the "new" Modular server, the Mods folder shrank from 367GB to @267GB. That is with all terrain maps installed. IMO, it is worth doing the update just to reclaim a 100GB of SSD space. Well done ED. Now if we could just have multi-threading. -
I moved all of our six servers to one account and it appeared all was well, but then I noticed one server kept disconnecting with a message that the link had expired. So Maverick87Shaka's comment about being limited to five servers appears to be correct. I wished ED would post such information on the forum in addition to Discord.

Thanks BigNewy! I can't believe that I'm the first person to uncover this problem or had something changed since the original post? -

I've tried updating on two different DCS Openbeta Servers to the new modular DCS Server with the same resulting 404 ERROR. Here is the logfile that results when I try running the command: ".\bin\DCS_updater.exe update "@dcs_server". ================================================================================================ 00000.373 --- Log file: C:\Users\REDROC~1\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta_server\autoupdate_templog.txt 00000.000 === Log opened UTC 2024-05-13 14:48:35 00000.037 INFO : DCS_Updater/2.16.3.18 (Windows NT 10.0.19045; Win64; en-US) 00000.037 INFO : src-id: f697eb0b6959f621dddfde672932cdb00d183f23, lib-id: b88ea51ae2210987a3865f77cc1802548216d7a8 00000.038 INFO : cmdline: .\bin\DCS_updater.exe update "@dcs_server" 00000.354 STATUS: Initializing... 00000.357 INFO : basedir: C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta Server 00000.362 INFO : variant: openbeta_server 00000.367 INFO : DCS/2.9.4.53990 (x86_64; EN; DEDICATED_SERVER,SINAIMAP_terrain,KOLA_terrain) 00000.367 INFO : branch: openbeta 00000.376 STATUS: Checking for updates... 00001.441 ERROR: www.digitalcombatsimulator.com replied HTTP 404 Not Found 00001.444 STATUS: 404 Not Found 00242.756 === Log closed. ============================================================================================== Is this function broken or is it me? -
A few years ago, while DCS was trouble shooting problems with the dedicated server, they imposed a limit that there could be onlytwo servers per user account. With six servers, we have three accounts. Is that limit still in effect? It would be nice to be able to admin all six servers from one user account.

When I try running ".\bin\DCS_updater.exe update "@dcs_server", I receive a message from DCS Updater 2.16.3.18 --->(BIG RED X) "404 Not Found". Is something broke with the update from the old OpenBeta Dedicated Server to the New Modular Dedicated Server? Is there a way to tell which version of the dedicated server is installed? I'm trying to help a friend with his server and he is not sure which version he has installed? -

TWC_Alamo replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Andre, Thanks for the reply. No he didn't. Your customer support over the years has been excellent and based on my recommendations, five of my friends have purchased jetseats and software from you. I would have bought another jetseat from you if they were available here. The NLR HF8 appears to be the Realteus ForceFeel unit that has simply been re-labled with the NLR markings. All functions work perfectly in Realteus ForceFeel Control Center work perfectly with the HF-8. Scores of simmers are using the HF8 with SSA without problems, but for some reason a very few of us are getting this error. I have flown the HF-8 on my old computer without getting this error, so I have a hunch that it might be related to my specific computer hardware. Perhaps a HID/USB driver going to sleep? Hopefully you can tell me what module is generating this error. Is it the seat handler? I will try flying IL-2 and Aerofly with your Sim Shaker Wings module and see it I get the same error. Thanks -

The NLR HF8 is a relabeled Realteus Force Feel seat. Next Level Racing is even recommending your software. They are selling hundreds if not thousands of their seats in the USA, while it is almost impossible for US customers to buy Gamtrix Jetseat from Russia. You and Andre could be capitalizing on the availability of the NLR HF8 through increased sales of your software. Your response is a little disappointing to your loyal customers like me who have bought all your modules. I hope Andre feels different. -
DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs
TWC_Alamo replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
The_Nephilim I'm not running Windows 11, but I notice that with my Windows 10 system that sometimes the TARGET virtual device drivers does not disabled the discreet stick and throttle drivers when the TARGET profile starts. A symptom of this is that it takes a very long time for the TARGET profile to load. Check in your Windows Devices and see if you have both the TARGET combined driver and the discreet stick, throttle and MFD drivers. A couple of years back this was related to a conflict with the Microsoft Store service, but it had appeared to have been solved. Another symptom was that I wouldn't have a problem if I started the TARGET profile immediately after booting. This may not apply to your case, but thought I'd mention it. Good luck.- 2260 replies

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
TWC_Alamo replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Andre, My old jet-seat that I bought from you years ago finally gave up the ghost, so I replaced it with the Next Level Racing HF-8 which I think is a re-labeled Realteus Force FeeI Seat. It seems to work great with your software, however, I am getting the following error occasionally in both DCS and MSFS. I am using SSA (2.62) and SSS (2.32). The seat handler is version 1.0.0.10. Any idea of the cause? When the error occurs, the vibration stops and when I acknowledge it, the vibration resumes. Is there anyway to automatically override the error? Any help will be deeply appreciated. -

Next level racing HF8 haptic seat pad & DCS
TWC_Alamo replied to markturner1960's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Is anyone getting the following error when running the NLR HF8 with the Sim Shaker Aviator software? When the error occurs, the seat stops working, but immediately resumes working when I click "okay". I seems to occur about every 15 to 20 minutes and is really annoying while in VR. -
Spoilt for choice-Simshaker Jet seat or HF8?
TWC_Alamo replied to rapid's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I've had for NLR HF8 for about a week and am using it with SimShakerAviator. However, I am occasionally receiving the error shown below. When it happens, the seat stops working until I acknowledge the error and then it resumes working. Anyone else having this problem? -
Yes I think so. I have packed my TRACKIR away. I'm running DCS on 3 x 55" TV's in a inverted U shape and with the Tobii it is almostt like being in VR without the HMD. Tracking seems much more stable, especially when looking at large angles. My TRACKIR would often get wonkey during a dogfight.

I see no one answered your question and it's probably OBE by now, but for others seeking an answer: I use Tobii ET5 with glasses in a darkened room without any problems. Yes. In the Tobii Game Hub software there are options to TOGGLE, HOLD TO ENABLE and HOLD TO DISABLE the tracking.
-
I've just bumped up against this issue too with Tobii ET5. I did find that in "control settings", if you left click on the down arrow icon, you can disable head tracking and the mouse look will work. Be nice if ED could provide a hotkey to disable head tracking within the cockpit.

SOLVED: I used the FREE version of the REVO UNINSTALLER to completely scrub all traces of SimShaker from my computer and then re-installed. All is good now. I still wonder what broke and why? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Earlier today SSA was working fine, but now I am getting an UNHANDLED EXCEPTION error.
