MarcT-NL, There are 8 motors but only six channels. The leg and butt motors are connected in parallel. If you haven't done so, try swapping out motors to see if it is the motor that has failed or if the channel has gone bad. If your wiring appears good, examine the controller board. There are two 8 pin DIP MOSFETS (labeled IR P025H) driving 4 SMD resistors (labeled 2R2). Take a look at the picture of a portion of my control board (IMG_0610). I traced the dead channel to R34, which in the image looks fried. It should measure 2.2 ohms, but it measures 156 ohms. I have ordered some 2.2 ohms SMD resistors but haven't replaced R34 yet. The wiring in my JETSEAT had become brittle and the insulation had disintegrated in spots. I think the leads to the motor must have shorted out, frying R34. I do notice the motor on the dead channel twitches when I test the channel, so hopefully the MOSFET DIP isn't blown, because the PO25H appears to be made out of unobtainum. If the PO25 is okay, I am planning to totally rebuild my JETSEA, using higher quality wire, eliminating the secondary connector junction board and moving the controller board to a 3D printed enclosure that will be easier mount to the side of the chair. I plan to add memory foam cushioning, a cut out for a floor mounted center stick and a new cover made out olive drab military looking material. I have had mine JETSEAT about four years and it has undergone some hard use. Only two motors were working when I decided to try fixing it. Upon removing the innards from the JETSEAT cushion, I found all kind of problems: broken wires, bare wire, pulled out micro-connectors, bad solder joints wrapped with electrical tape rather than heat shrink, however all eight motors were still good. Attached are pictures of some of the problems I found. Yours appears be in much better condition. Good luck

ports and protocols used for DCS world
TWC_Alamo replied to BIGNEWY's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
@BIGNEWYI just realized a problem I might have created, but has gone undetected since I don't use voice chat. If you are running multiple instances of the server on the same computer, do you need to assign a unique port for each instances for VC? Or each instance of the server attempt to share port 10309? -
My order arrived today and hoping to install it tonight.
-
Thanks Andre. I suppose if the only alternative is a new one, I might as well take the old one apart and look for broken wires and dead transducers. Anyone know of a source of replacement transducers?
-
Andre, I have had my Gametrix Jet Seat going on three years and I just don't like flying without. However; now 5 five of the 8 transducers have stopped working. I have tried "tapping" on them lightly without effect. Do you have any suggestions on how to diagnose and repair? Is there any software reset in the controller? Thanks Alan

Dedicated server 2.7: Always same mission launched
TWC_Alamo replied to reptile92's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
I am seeing the same issues on my servers. One other problem, which I think maybe related, is that the RESUME ON functions often reverts to RESUME ON MANUAL even with the RESUME ON CLIENT set in the serverSetting.lua. The only way I have been able to change mission is to edit the [missionList] to have only one mission.- 28 replies

[ADJUST HISTORICAL LIST ICON] No A10C II in Mission Editor
TWC_Alamo replied to rtimmons's topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
Had the same issue. You need to deselect the wrist watch looking icon (HISTORICAL LIST OF UNITS) to the right of the tank symbol at the bottom of the mission editor screen or choose a more recent date for the mission. I can't remember the date after which the A10C-II becomes available in the HISTORICAL LIST OF UNITS. -

DCS World Dedicated Server
TWC_Alamo replied to USSR_Rik's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
That what I am doing. I have 3 servers running on one computer and manage them thru 2 separate accounts. Not a big issue, but I thought the 2 server per account restriction was a temporary measure the simplify troubleshooting in the early days when the dedicated server was introduced. -

Is the limit of 2 servers per account still in effect? -
Why do we have to mess with port forwarding?
TWC_Alamo replied to Nealius's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
Nealius, I had similar issues when we moved to a new house and changed ISPs. After moving none of my friends could see my servers. At my original location my router was behind a Comcast cable modem with all ports available to be exposed and for me to control. At the new location my router is behind the WIRELESS provider's router. I tried using the UPNP settings, but that didn't work. In order to expose my server to the internet, the ISP had to adjust some settings on their end. They basically set up a local IP address on the LAN side of their router to serve as a DMZ and had me assign my router to that specific address, giving full control over exposing any and all ports. So now I am able to host servers for DCS and SRS for my friends. Hopefully your ISP can do something similar for you. -

You can do this from within DCS on the AUDIO OPTION PAGE. I have engine sounds going to my external speakers and cockpit communications going the VR Headset.
-
I have the same keyboard and it works great with DCS. You can program any keyboard key to generate any key code, series of 3 key codes or a macro. The software is pretty "klunkie" and it doesn't readily recognize the difference between LEFT and RIGHT shifts, controls, alts and windows keys, but you can input the ASC codes using a macro.

Trustmaster throttle bindings change during flight
TWC_Alamo replied to johnco61's topic in Thrustmaster
If you’re not actually running TARGET, then it is not likely a problem of the MICROSOFT store from not deactivating the physical throttle and stick, when the TM Virtual Combo Controller. -
Trustmaster throttle bindings change during flight
TWC_Alamo replied to johnco61's topic in Thrustmaster
https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=232737 This thread discusses the Microsoft store interference with TARGET and several different solutions. However, that doesn’t sound like your problem. -
Great job on the Hawg! While working on building a HOTAS profile for the '47, I noticed three issues with keyboard commands not working. (1.) Horizon Cage/Uncage keyboard command "RShift + V" will only UNCAGE the artificial horizon. It will not CAGE it. (2.) Oxygen regulator Diluter lever Auto-Mix On-Off keyboard command "RShift + B" doesn't activate the lever. (3.) Oxygen Regulator Emergency By-Pass Value keyboard command "RCtrl + B" does not activate valve.

DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs
TWC_Alamo replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
Temporary P-47D TARGET Profile I know Home Fries is or will be working on a new profile for the P-47D module, but if you are like me and your muscle memory is so tuned to the "buttonology" of his profiles, that it just doesn't feel right to fly without them.:cry::( So, as a "stop gap measure", I have put together a "TARGET P47D kb v228.diff.lua" and "TARGET P47D wh v228.diff.lua" files for the P47D that will work with his P-51D TARGET profile. (Sorry no Cougar profile, since I don't have one.) Also included are JPEGS showing the mappings for the MFDs, Warthog Stick and Throttle. Installation is simple, just select Home Fries's TARGET P-51D profile and install the above mentioned lua input files for the P47D DSs keyboard and TM Virtual Controller. Since I had to adapt the mappings to work with the existing TARGET P51D profile, don't expect the normal level of sophistication with long tempo and short double presses, but all the basic function seem to work with un-shifted and shifted (i.e. +S3) buttons. I noticed some functions aren't working in the P47D module (it is early access) from the keyboard, like the artificial horizon toggle (you can "un-cage", but not "cage" it.) The O2 regulator key commands aren't working either, so I didn't include those in the profile. Thanks to Home Fries for creating this incredible tool for DCS that some of us have become so dependent on.:thumbup::thumbup: I hope these work for you until the genuine Home Fries P47D profile becomes available. Don't complain or ask for help from Home Fries if you have problems with this. It is a monster of my own creation and he had nothing to do with it, but PM me and I'll try to help you out. TARGET not deactivating physical devices when TM virtual combo active
TWC_Alamo replied to TWC_Alamo's topic in Thrustmaster
Lorthirk, Excellent! I like your solution. I find it annoying to have to re-install the Windows Store when I am forced to get an App there.
