  1. Towsim, I've found your information extremly useful. I'm also working in a DLL library I'd like to inject into ED Lua in the future, could you provide us with a basic example? That would be terrorific! Regards!

    DCS: Truck

Bring DCS: Adriana Lima simulator "Realsitic to the switch", and take my money. Hell, set up a crowfundign campaign and I will give 1000 bucks to support the project (but I want my "special gift" in return!) Regards!
  3. Fantastic update!! Does this mean that cockpit ECS is modelled now? In which situations does WINDSHIELD HOT caution light switch on? Regards!
  4. I doubt there is enough info for Tu-160/B-1B/Tu-22/B-52 out there. Specially for weapon/jammer positions. Regards
  5. We are all witeness of an huge boom of new DCS developers during last weeks, some from FS world, other former DCS modders, and other new-born groups comings from nowhere. But almost all of them (with the notable exception of Benzcl) lay in the West and therefore are focused on west aircraft. What's happening in the East side of the forum? Is there any movement there? It's hard to dig in due to linguistic wall (and google doesn't help to make it easier, but you can have some fun trying to understand translation results though:megalol:) and since east people has more access to east hardware and manuals (and very important, normally they can understand them :)), some interesting projects can be setting up which we, capitalist pigs, aren't aware of :( Regards!
  6. True. Then you realise you have a nice aircraft, modelled thoughtfuly, up to the finest detail, with lot of weapon choices and go on... ... Flying in an sterile environment, having fun just shooting down AI civil aircraft (and having remorses for that and thinking you are going to hell) and bombing airports, with no sams, with no other combat aircraft, with no mision editos and, at the end of the day, with no mission to perform. That's why everybody prefers having their favorites in DCS rather than in FSX instead. And that's why it's a pity that addon like your F-15E or VRS's Superhornet must fly in such a limited environment. It's like a bird with cut wings. Regards!
  7. Indeed - From now on I won't f*ck off my wingman without protection :D Regards!
  8. Let me guess... ahmm... atmospheric scattering? That would open doors to DCS:Space Shuttle Mission simulator :smartass: Regards!
  9. Landsat maps are free and I think they're under GNU license. But don't expect more than 15 m/pix and very artificial colors... Regards!
  10. Well EGI still feeds from INS to work out position data. Normally INS data is blended with GPS data to get the best accuracy, but you can (currently in DCS:A-10C) force EGI to feed only from INS, either disconnecting GPS manually (via SYSTEM/GPS -> INIT, which reset GPS and then you will rely briefly only on INS) or selecting INS as only source (via NAV page -> Commanded Navigation Mode Rotary, and selecting INS only). In both cases I've been unable to see any drift in position after a long flight, therefore making INS update page (NAV / UPDATE) basically useless and also leaving the different ALIGN methods as a switchology exercise with no effect on drift or accuracy. I have also the feeling that GPS model has been simplified from the ABRIS model in BS, which was quite complex and detailed. I have to admit that the impact of all this in the gameplay is extremly low, as currently EGI provides a really good position estimation under normal conditions, but still would be nice to flight missions w/o GPS support in which you have to perform INS updates here and there. Furthermore it wouldn't be the first time seen in a simulator - PMDG aircrafts implement Blending algorithm in FMCs since the old MD-11! Regards!
  11. Is there any plans to implement new features in A-10C or development in this aircraft is frozen? I still miss a bunch of things, like INS implementation or some AN/ARC-164 modes. Regards!
  12. +1! For some reason I've just realized I have the version without performance figures. I'd very glad if some kind hearth upload the complete edition again somewhere Regards!
  13. Impressive afterburner! :D Just kidding, I'm glad they are OK. Regards!
  14. Happy birthday! Now, get back to work!!! :) Regards!
  15. Don´t be a what? :music_whistling::music_whistling: Regards!
  16. Americans were who named it anyway :D B-52 spotted also this morning http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=80854&start=30 Odd. We haven't had B-52 since 1991 during Desert Storm. Regards!
  17. Ey stop picking on me :P I have evidences to proof this! Unfortunately in Spanish, but if you can understand... http://www.flickr.com/groups/spottingsevilla/discuss/72157629349555728/page2/#comment72157629843888481 Basically, they spotted 14 (!) F-16 from South Carolina ANG landing in LEMO (Moron AB) last week, coming together with 3 KC-10 and 2 KC-135 Also 4 F-15E arrived afterwards And this week... 6 Raptors from New Mexico No hint from any B-2, it seems somebody got too excited after all :noexpression: They might well be coming back to US after African Lion exercises in Morocco, it's not very common this sort of military traffic in LEMO, platform is often packed with tankers and cargo aircraft, but fighters are rare here. Regards!
  18. I've been just informed that yesterday, in Moron AB (Spain), it's been spotted 6 F-22 together with something which resembles B-2s. There is also an inusual large amount of F-16 and F-15 in the platform. What's going on?
  19. Well capabilities aren't the same either, B version carries less fuel, MTOW is lighter and payload bay is smaller than C's. To be fair, C seems the winner version to me; that bigger wing should help a lot to reduce the high wing load that this aircraft suffer, making it more capable in dogfights. Regards!
  20. Well, you always can check your TAS in CDU screen Regards!
  21. Oh don't worry about the OT, Eddie's answer satisfied my knolewdge appetite. And piddle packs are always a fascinating topic of discussion. Specially what to do with them once the flight is over :D Regards!
  22. Is there any way to know optimal Mach and altitude for maximum range or endurance in CDU? I know there are tables available in the A-10A flight manual, but fighters like F-16 or F/A-18 can give you the figures directly, using CRUS DED page in the first, FPAS page in the last. Regards!
  23. "Your computer is on an IP address which is not in the correct region. Due to geographical restrictions you cannot use this shop from your region." Come on.... Regards!

    Game Engines!

No no, I'm referring to atmospheric scattering itself, it would improve a lot lighting and haze effects, even if we stuck to the current terrain http://http.developer.nvidia.com/GPUGems2/gpugems2_chapter16.html Regards!
