  1. Really? I've flown with the huey for almost one hour, generators off, just battery on and inverter on, no battery drain at all. I have to admit that the test was performed some DCS world iterations ago, so the electrical system might have been enhanced in the meantime, but I don't think so. Have a look at: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=113229 P-51D and FW-190D have their electrical system properly modelled, though. Regards!
  2. No, it isn't, at least in A-10C Regards
  3. For that ED should open A-10C code to modders, which I wouldn't expect in the short term. LUA allows you to tune up some features, but it's impossible to add new ones without access to the cockpit DLL. Regards!
  4. Bad news :( I would definitively pay for an "A-10C v2.0" with some features now missing in the current version, including proper JDAMs mechanization and better CBUs damage model. The point is, yesterday I was fiddling around with the A-10C folder and there are lots of lua files depicting avionics items, I'm sure not all functionality is there, but maybe it's possible to "inyect" external code into the aircraft with them, to add new features. For example, in the CDU luas, all the pages, with the labels, position, etc, were defined, maybe to add a new page and link it with new code from a different dll is not that hard after all... Regards!
  5. Quick question, does anybody know if improvements in TAD (basically the posibility to introduce killboxes, exclusion zones, FLOT lines etc) can be expected in the future? It seems A-10C has received little love in the last bunch of patches, and some features are still incomplete. Regards!
  6. Don't expect INS drift modeled in DCS A-10 soon. As long as I know, INS updating page in EGI is functional, but since INS works perfectly and doesn't drift, its use is not necessary. Regards!
  7. Back on 2007, Olgerd posted a list of what aircraft could or couldn't be modelled based on the amount of material available (and gathered by ED, I assume). I don't feel like bringing up such an old post, but here you have the direct link to it: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=20888 I wonder whether this list has changed over the years and aircraft poorly documented then are in a better shape today. Basically if planes from group 2 have passed to group 3. Intriguing enough, A-10C is included in "Not gonna happen for 5-10 years" group :D Regards!
  8. Nice table! I wonder why ED has not implemented homing features to all those radios that should... The code is there, it's just apply it to the affected equipment. Regards!
  9. Now that's depressing :( Regards
  10. I mean, having a realistic tracking behaviour for IIR/TV missiles, either using a better "emulation" or processing the image directly, as in RL. Regards
  11. Shame, this is one feature which would be nice to have in the future. Regards!

    And who wouldn't? :) Regards!
  13. EWR radars use long length waves which normally need of big antennas to be detected - which doesn't fit in a small missile head. Not all ESM systems are able to detect long-range EWR radars, mainly for this reason. Regards! P.S -> ARgh, snipped by GGTharos!
  14. Great work MBot! Do you plan to produce a 'module' based on these scripts? Using proper windows instead of the comm menu for example. Regards!
  15. Ahhh no problem VicentLaw! When landing in bare terrain, normal surface + h should be enough inputs for a custom ground handling model, you will get some errors in the terrain triangles edges, but they should be small since surface normals don't vary greatly, it's a good aproximation. Another story is landing over objects though, h_obj must be accesible for any X,Y,Z coordinate for an accurate contact point detection. Regards!
  16. No I didn't! I really don't know. But , since FM SDK provides you with aircraft attitude in global coordinates, and knowing the XYZ position of the point of interest in local frame, you can infer the height of any aircraft point using rotation/translation matrices. It's a bit cumbersome but it should do the trick. Results can contain some error , since you are considering that the height is constant around the aircraft, and in some cases (sea...) this doesn't have to be true. Regards!
  17. Are you using this function for ground handling modelling? Because then h and h_obj variables should be accessible for any position, e.g. they should provide height information from ground to any XYZ coordinate that you request. Regards!
  18. Ka-50 broke that rule ;) Regards!
  19. I bet electrical system is still WIP. Something similar happens with Mi-8. Regards!
  20. link to manual please! Regards!
  21. What happened with the ATC improvements expected in 1.2.5? Regards!
  22. Later than sooner, if ever, I'm afraid :(. Ka-50 and A-10C are no longer generating the same revenues as other modules and I guess their development cycle are coming to an end. Regards!
  23. Seriously, Kamov and A-10C need badly an electric system overhaul, the old model is just too plain. And what happened with INS Drift and realistic alignment? Regards!
  24. And what about avionics? For example, It surprised me a lot to see a rear-looking radar installed in the Mustang, I didn't know that. Regards!
  25. Just wondering, are trip duration as long in game as real trips? Because a Milano-Frankfourt can take like 8 hours or so in Real Life . Regards!
