    Game Engines!

Atmospheric scattering is fantastic in Outerra, I really hope ED implement it in the future. Regards!
  2. Flight model needs hastily a wing wake turbulence modelization. Regards!
  3. Yes it does. It's not properly represented in Falcon though. Regards.
  4. Well E-Scope features like ZCL, SCP and obstacle warn line are identical to F-111 TFR. In fact I guess AAQ-13 is based on AN/APQ-110/128 Regards!
  5. Even if no F-111 is going to be modelled, information given in this video can be useful for other LANTIRN-equipped aircrafts *wink*. At the end of the day E-scope representation works similar in all TFR capable fighters. Regards!
  6. Are more patches expected? It seems the usual patch flow is halted now... Regards!
  7. If you dream about next DCS aircraft, it's time to put away the hotas, get out your home and breathe some fresh air, seriously! Regards!

    I'm angry

    Hungry, did you say?
  9. False myth, radome must be transparent to radiowaves in order to let own signals spread out. So what AMRAAM radar really see is the flat radar dish of the incoming missile, whose return cannot be underestimated. Regards!
  10. Android - you precisely brought up the worst example. Android Market is a mess, and there have been several examples of infected programs with trojans Regards!
  11. ...Which is great, because C looks more slim and sexy than the doped E Regads!!
  12. No it isn't. I guess you can use ARBIS to introduce manually your actual position in the INS, but it isn't done automatically, there is no link between ARBIS and INS Regards!
  13. Man, I reeeeeally would be glad if ED eventually introduces realistic INS drift and complete GPS/INS blending with Kalman filtering, as PMDG already does. It might not be a huge deal in A-10C, but defenitively it would be a major change in BlackShark, forcing us to plan and make INS corrections here and there. Olgerd has come up the topic once, and it seems to be a WIP, I'm still hoping it will be introduced in future patches. Regards!

    EF2000

You don't need any. It's a modified version of DOSBOX, with experimental Voodoo emulation, which allow to increment image resolution and other improvements, like perspective-corrected textures. It looks very promising. It's worth to keep an eye on it. Regards!

    EF2000

    Better uh? :smartass: Regards!
  16. Is it possible to generate thunderstorms/Cumulnimbus (anvil-shaped clouds) and fog with the current dynamic weather engine? Regards
  17. Awesome Olgerd, we need more posts like this  Regards!
  18. The "10" in the lower left corner is the INS data confidence index, or something like that. Since INS drift is not modelled in the sim, I don't think it's going to change soon. Regards.
  19. Many thanks PeterP, really usefull! Regards!
  20. Yeah. And F is 15 in hexadecimal, so if we work out F+1+5=21, so next DCS product will be F-21A Lion Too easy, ED :disgust: Regards!
  21. After reading "A-10's over Kosovo" and "Warthog: Flying the A-10 during the gulf war", it was surprising that, even with heavy battle damage, they almost never jettisoned the ordinance. I always thought that, after taking damage, releasing all the stores was mandatory! Regards!
  22. Fuel dump system is not very popular among ground-based fighters - you always can get rid of your ordinance and have a real weight decrease in case of an emergency situation. Comercial airplanes cannot get rid of passanger so easily though - that's why I guess it's mandatory for them (nonetheless I would throw the classic snorting guy or crying boy sat next to me overboard , oh dear, how I miss an "emergency Jettison" button sometimes! :D) Regards!
  23. None in particular - I wanted only to point out the fact that turbine engines are much hotter than piston engines - even if external casing is properly isolated you still have the problem with the plume. I assume that small UAV's engines works in the same temperature range as car's engines, therefore 1600 hp P-51 engine might be hotter, but still much cooler than conventional turbines. Regards!!
