  1. I'm central time, but i'm on at all kinds of hours, if you want you can hit me up, or hop on the F99th TS, lots of guys that fly F-15 that would love to train with you, Sweeper was doing some BFM with a couple of guys last night, had a good time. (personally, im not the best F-15 pilot, but i can hold my own when its WVR fighting [i'm an A-10 guy ;) at least until the F-14A/B comes out])
  2. Me being a rather young pilot on here (most of the guys i end up meeting and flying with are at least 10 years older than me), and the fact that I've been gaming since i was like 5 or 6 if you count Online Checkers on Windows 98/ME or my personal favorite the Jane's Series :)... I've never had an Issue hopping on to a new TS, but i do have to say, when it came to DCS, this is probably the only sim/game I have ever been a little overwhelmed when i first started flying Online. Believe it or not, Language has yet to be a major issue for me, I've noticed most players on TS can speak English fairly well, of course there is always a few times when i've had to have them repeat something i couldn't quite understand, but that happens. As far as Orso's mention of volumes in-game, for users running windows 7, I found this plugin works wonders: http://addons.teamspeak.com/directory/addon/miscellaneous-plugins/Volume-Control-(Windows-only).html It is basically a "ducking" plugin, when people are talking in TS it automatically lowers the volume of all other applications by a set percentage, i have mine set at 25%. I've been using this for a long time, as i've had this issue quite a bit. Lots of good points here, and Orso made a lot of great points, personally, I can't fly multiplayer without being on TS, it not only adds to immersion, it also makes everything easier, whether its in the 104th and simply asking what zone is active, or if I want to link up with someone, or if i'm having a problem, or trying to learn something. I personally learn a lot better if someone talks me through a process as I do it rather than me having to exit the game and search/read up on it.
  3. if you look at their F-14 dev map on their site it say's quote:
  4. As far as I am aware jtac only recognizes IP's that are placed in the Mission Editor, simply naming a waypoint "IP" does not alert JTAC of the IP, what I do instead is when i set up waypoints in Missions via the ME is place one [waypoint] over the IP and name it "IP" or "IP Dodge" etc. this works well enough for me.
  5. Its not hard to get horse of war working again, they just modified the folder layout so there are less paths to get to the texture.. to get it working just change the folder layout from ...\Mods\aircraft\A-10C\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures to ...\Mods\aircraft\A-10C\Cockpit\Textures See it's working in mine: (granted, i took the liberty of adding a few personal touches to his version xD)
  6. lol i hope you are not one of the guys that thinks all your products get to the store by magic.... :megalol::music_whistling:
  7. Same here, i only have the TF-51 and the SU-25, when i should have all but the Mi8, the MiG's, and the F86
  8. Here we go, first look screenshots. Current Graphics Settings: High Plane: TF-51D (beta currently isnt letting me download my purchased modules...
  9. about time! woot time to go take it for a test drive, er flight :joystick:
  10. just read through your checklist, 1 small thing i might suggest is adding the key from the first post into the checklist, just because some people might not remember right away what stands for what and rather than trying to find the post again, it would be easier to go to the page with the key in the checklist. Otherwise it is a great checklist, not overly wordy and complicated, but detailed enough anyone should be able to follow it with ease.
  11. ^This.... BD makes some of the best missions i have ever flown, always the right balance between difficulty and fun, you cant go wrong with any of his recommendations
  12. look at Gliptal here trying to promote himself :harhar: (I would too though :music_whistling:) i thought about searching for links but i was feeling lazy...
  13. Sometimes the easiest solution is to double check what your doing, when it comes to startup, it never hurts to have one of the checklists handy if you start having issues. (If you dont have one, just hit that nice search box on here and you will get plenty of hits)
  14. Beautiful Sunset :) If you look at the Right MFCD you can see all the nice puffs of smoke from my strafing run sadly, my parachute flare died right after i started the run :(
  15. 11 YEARS this thread has been going on... i love these opinion debates lol *grabs Popcorn and waits* first 13 pages of this thread is 45 mins of my life i could have spent reading important things, or even better flying in game lol either way, was interesting to find some new "facts" and lots of opinions.
  16. is the script on the right the file listed in the error? also, could you upload the script so i can take a look at it? could be as simple as a missing } or ;
  17. Sounds good :-) Reply sent, you might not be able to tell from my forum account, but i've been around for 4 years and never said a word till the last couple months lol. I'll keep you posted on any other things i notice missing from VAICOM as well... also, the ATC tower names in voice recognition hates me, no matter how hard i try to articulate lol guess ill stick to ATC select... good news for anyone else who disabled the comm menu - the divert CDU page in the A-10 lists the ATC towers exactly how the show up on the comm menu, so you can skip the ATC list VAICOM command by bringing up the divert page, and just saying "ATC Select <# counted from top of divert Page>" downside is, divert page only shows first 4 towers i believe...
  18. I noticed VAICOM for the A10C is missing a few JTAC callouts, mainly pertaining to type 1 & type 2 controls where they mark the targets. in the default a10c profile for VAICOM, i couldn't find a "CONTACT the mark" call out in VAICOM for targets marked with WP. I also couldn't find the "SPARKLE", and "Contact Sparkle" call outs (IR laser mark) in the VAICOM profile either , i'm currently working on adding them to my profile, i still haven't checked for type 1/2 call outs for "LASE" or other marking types, but plan to and will note if they are in VAICOM and if not i will add those as well. both the above mentioned call outs result in reverting back to keyboard method for the steps missing in vaicom, which i learn is really hard when you have the comms menu invisible lmao :music_whistling: the end result of which was me constantly either checking out, repeatedly asking for BDA or announcing unable to comply and getting told that they have no tasking because i said i cant do what they asked lol
  19. ^ what he said  Thanks for adding more details on what we can use, i forget that not everybody knows what info to provide when asking for help :music_whistling:
  20. thats unusual, go ahead and put together a track, and i'll try to replicate and see if i can find anything you might be doing wrong, or if you maybe found a bug...
  21. Ok, a little more information on your situation would be nice... I've Noticed EAC wont arm if you dont wait for GPS/INS to align (4.0.0.8 on the CDU) also, you need to make sure you press the EGI switch located below your HSI. Would it be possible for you to post screenshots or a track of what exactly is happening?
