Do not have the time for reading through all of it. Here is my take at helping you all. 2.7 went smoothly for me at the start. Then I updated my GPU to the latest driver and after that my GPU utilization was only at 80 percent and had Syria at 33 FPS. Only rolling the update of the driver back did not help me at all. Had to do a complete removal of the driver and then only installing the last one which was working for me (again did not help). After that I had to repair and clean DCS (did not remove any excess files nor replaced them) and then only the GPU utilization was back at 100 percent and was back at 55-60FPS. Also it seems the last two version of Windows are very bad at gaming performance. It might be the cause too. I believe you might be right! At the start when contacting ground I did not need to press ENT (just switching channels helped) so I forgot about the requirement of pressing the ENT button during the mission. I do not have time anymore today but I can check it out tomorrow again.

Just finished playing it and I must say awesome work and I am looking forward to the whole campaign as I enjoy the ATC and preparation component of flying more than the combat itself. So I am pleased to see such great documentation with it. Especially the Syrian Intel Doc. Just two things with this mission. As I was approaching LTAG, I contacted Approach (COMM 2, CHNL 4), it went smoothly. Then when I hit the 50nm mark from LTAG, I was supposed to contact arrival but the F10 option did not appear. Tried some workarounds but they did not work. The next communication I recieved was flight lead telling me I was supposed to contact them. Second is more of a request. It would be better to swap station 3 with station 5 in order to have better visibility with the TGP. Ofc it does not matter in this mission but in the next ones it might. Again a great start to a campaign and you have my attetion. Meanwhile I am going to check out your Operation Persian Freedom Campaign.

No, I disagree with you. I managed to get my performance back by doing a clean and a repair process. It helped, although it didn't remove/repair any files/mods. Didn't change anything in the options menu and the performance is back to maximum power with 50-60 FPS.

Got a 1070 too. When I start DCS and play some mission it is all good. But when I start some next mission, the GPU doesn't use all of its power. It sits max at 80 perc. Had 60 fos yesterday but today 34

Hey, as the title says the GPU utilizes only 80 percent of its power, sometimes even less. It starts to happen as I start a second mission. If I first start the Syria map first, any mission, the GPU works normally and FPS are great - 50 to 60FPS. Even when I look at some static object like the chair in the cockpit and zoom in the FPS is around 34. The only way how to fix it is by restarting the PC, not only the game. Now here is the catch... you would say it is a problem on my side (overheating and so on ( only 65°C) and no... it is not bottlenecked) but if I play the PG map or Caucasus the GPU utilizes its whole potential. I am a new owner of the Syria map, but I had the pleasure of trying it during the F2P period and had no problems at all. Specs: i5-6600K GTX1070 8GB 465.89 32GB RAM Full HD What can I provide to give you a clue what is happening? EDIT: I forgot to add. During the briefing screen the GPU is at 100%. But once I hit fly, it drops to mentioned percentages. Thanks

I've got 32 like you. Using around 80-85 percent in instant actions.

Tried Syria in the last F2P period and had horrible stutters over cities and 30 or less FPS. But now (bought it, cloud performence was good)the FPS is around 45 without stutters. With some altitude I am able to maintain 60. The performance was greatly improved.

Hey, did we get any indication if Syria is moving out of EA with the release of 2.7? I want to take advantage of the EA discount but I still want to see the performance hit after 2.7. "Student budget struggles" Thanks

I disagree. We never had this problem. I just had a year of pause in DCS and when I came back 2 or 3 months ago I was suprised they started to behave like this. It is just a recent behaviour.

Imho Syria won't go on sale any time soon. It still has the 10% off EA tag and they do not combine it with an another sale. Once it is released out of EA, then we can expect a sale.

I see, I've been playing the two planes only on GS server so I am gonna try other servers tonight. But if I play with the Hornet on it, then I have no warnings. But it could be bound only to FC3 aircraft. Thanks for the ideas.

Hey, how do I disable audible missile warning (missile, twele o'clock, high etc.)? Hoped into the F15 and the 27 after couple of years and this the first time I am experiencing it. Immersion killer. Thanks for any advice.
