I was wondering if any of the stations in the carrier was going to be visually modeled. I heard and think I saw a preview of the briefing room. Wondering if the bridge/radar room/bubble would be modeled too.

I'm looking into vkb pretty much because of the supported grips that can be switched out on the stick. Thing is, I'm wondering if you have to remap all the buttons on the grip everytime you switch the grips out or not.

I want to buy new pedals. I have the plastic logtech g pro ones and I've noticed some problems I have that I'm trying to solve with my next purchase. 1. I often stop using them midflight. It's from some variation of discomfort, whether it's because I get tired after a while having to apply constant rudder like the Huey under full power or because of a long flight in the bf-109, at some point I just take my feet of the pedals and just rest them on the ground. I'm guessing better design or feel or resistance would help my pedals feel more like a glove and less of a yoke. 2. Want to fly better in helicopters. I get the feeling that while any pedal can work for planes, few can work for both helicopters and planes. And I want one that will give good control over both. 3. Works like the real thing. While I've seen a lot of people racing about the vkb and crosswind pedals. I have a problem with how they function. Vkb doesn't have any toebrakes (yes you don't really need them but it's nice to have) and it's more of a stepping action to work the rudder. Crosswind looks pretty nice but its design causes your feet to arc a little instead of the pushing straight in like the real thing. I bought the logtech g pro specifically because it had that straight action. I know that the people who make the Warthog made a new pedal that works on a pendulum, was wondering if anyone tried all 3 pedals. Your thoughts?

In the Elburus Rescue (the one with the very tall mountain, sure I misspelled it) if you start with the "cold start" option then try to takeoff, the tail is initially very heavy, forcing you to push the stick near full forward, then after you are a few feet off the ground the tail heaviness disappears causing you to nose forward in moments. Not sure what that is but thought you guys would be interested to know .

CSAR in the single missions isn't winnable. 1. The area used to be clear (no forest) in the old caucus map. Now the entire area where the pilot is located is forest. 2. There is an infantry squad heading towards the downed pilot. But due to forest mentioned, they cannot be located. 3. The trigger that alerts the player of the squad pursuing the downed pilot never fires. 4. The helicopter that is supposed to pick up the downed pilot cannot land due to forest. 5. The downed pilot is still somehow picked up. But does not leave the area and return to base. 6. The rescue helicopter hovers there indefinitely until the pursuing squad reaches the helicopter and then shoots it down with rifle fire, causing the defeat event to trigger.

a pilot's seat in layman's terms? A crotchless seat? A center cutout seat? And why can't you find one online? (other than ones that cost $1000)

So I'm hearing people having setups of the buttkicker rumblepad combo for DCS. What buttkicker do you buy for just the chair? I don't have a simpit to put it in, so I need something smaller to install on the underside of the chair. I can't make heads or tails of the different buttkicker products. Anyone know of an appropriate model?

Where is the switch that turns the night mode on and off for the VDI? It's driving me crazy trying to find it. I looked over every inch in the cockpit.

What's *your* or the Navy's policy/tactics on dogfighting with PH missiles? Is it better to lob all of them from afar to clean up the aircraft or save 1 or 2 for dogfighting?

I had a lock on the mig though. The sparrow can ignore that? I wasn't in boresight mode, it was normal not ACM mode.

Not sure if this is bug, let me know if it isn't Tried the alert 5 instant action mission, halfway through the fight, my wingman and I lock onto the same target. I fire a sparrow, and the f-14 camera for some reason switched vid tracking from the mig to the sparrow missile. Not sure why, I was locked onto the mig. But my wingman fired a missile and hit the mig a few seconds before my sparrow reached the target. Now my wingman and the mig were in a vertical climb that peaked around where I was flying nice and level and while they were close to each other, they were still 100-200m apart. I kept the sparrow locked onto the mig but the sparrow hit my wingman instead. Not sure why, not sure how, but it did. Is that a bug? I would show a track, but those are not working at all.

I use a dining chair made of wood. Would like to replace it with something for flight simming. Any suggestions?

Sometimes TRACKIR disconnects from DCS when I walk away from the computer for a few minutes, wish there was a way to reconnect without having to exit in the middle of a mission.

Jester seems to disappear when commanding ejection. Only one chute. While I'm here, Jester sometimes ejects when flying at low level, thinking we are about to crash. Not saying he should NEVER eject, its a cool, human-like feature, but seems to do it too often, despite never ejecting when I'm in a flatspin at 500 ft and about to crash.

In briefing, 4 waypoints, an IP and a target waypoint are mentioned. But no 4th waypoint available to select in Jester menu and selecting IP and target WP in Jester menu produces no waypoint on TID.

Disclaimer: Not an expert on the f14. Knew that the wings oversweep. Learned how to do it in training. Forgot how to do it properly. Did it 'my own way (see: how I did it wrong)' and thought I was doing it right Learned I was doing it wrong this entire time and now wonder if the way I did it before is a sign of a bug. How I did it wrong. Open emergency wing sweep cover. Pull out handle. Bring handle back as far as it will go. Push handle back in. Pull handle back while handle is pressed in. Pop handle back out and it stays there and after a few moments the wings oversweep. I think this is a bug because the handle gets stuck after you do this. The only way to unstuck the handle is to scroll the mousewheel while the mouse pointer is over the handle and it magically teleports to the forward position.

Anyone learn how to be a good RIO officer offline? The training helps, but without an actual combat environment it's hard to put stuff into practice. And Iceman isn't a very good pilot. So trying to stay in the RIO seat during single player missions is impossible.
