  1. Hi, I had a great mission in the viggen campaign and so I saved the mission in a track, but whenever I play it, it replays something wrong. I got 2 air kills but in the replay, I essentially fire at nothing and get no air kills.
  2. In the mission where you bomb the airfield, I can't seem to get my AI wingman to drop bombs on the mission target. I would use the "engage mission are rejoin" order and he would affirm but would just fly there then back without dropping his load. How do you do it?
  3. Is it just me or are there a lot of broken missions and campaigns in DCS? (the older ones)
  4. Is there chocks that need to be removed? Cause in the first challenge campaign mission for the Bf109, I can't move taxi to the runway because something is locking me in place. I looked for a chocks away button but couldn't find one? Is this a bug? Edit: Turns out that not only do toe brakes have to be inverted on axis, but so does your rpm limiter. When I went full forward on the second throttle, it set the rpm limiter to 0 or something, so that when I applied power, it didn't produce enough thrust to get the plane moving forward on the ground. invert axis so that full forward = full rpm = enough thrust to move Bf-109 forward.
  5. Same, I use a sensitive custom track ir5 profile so that I can look everywhere while barely turning my head and it clips through HUD, windshield and the Maverick eyepiece.
  6. Windows 10 with Asus Vega x64 8GB and fx 9590 and 32 gb of 2400 DDR3 ram. Several weird graphical issues are popping up during a playtime of about 20 hrs. Blank Red Screen crash restarting the computer (happened only once so far) Flickering DCS logo on startup. Flickering ocean (only happened once) Clickable cockpit not lining up properly with the graphical layout. Flickering black bars across the entire screen at the start of missions that won't go away unless you quit and restart. Anyone else experiencing these problems and any work around to them?
  7. I get this weird problem that pops up occasionally when the buttons and switches are clickable but don't line up correctly with the cockpit layout. It's like as if the actual clickable switches were pushed down and to the right of the switches you can see on screen. is that just a bug or what?
  8. I can't seem to destroy all the ships in the convoy. Problem 1# Multiple ASuW seem to target 1 ship. In tried firing in single mode in a V, but they still seem to detect and target the lead ship. In group mode, the 2nd missile doesn't seem to lock onto anything and just flies past the group. Problem 2# the AI is not able to mop up and take out the rest of the ships. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. The training doesn't really explain when gruppe and single modes are appropriate & single vs ripple release are appropriate.

  10. How do you do that, bind 2 different functions to a controller? When I try to bind a function to a control that is already assigned a function, it binds it exclusively to the new function and deletes its old function.

Assume the "position" I wonder how the pilot is supposed to handle the controls when an rb05 is in the air... does he have his left hand on the stick and his right hand on the rb05 or left hand on throttle and right hand on rb05? I tried flying with my left hand instead of my right and it's really uncomfortably awkward. I'll stick with attitude autopilot.
  12. I tried doing that but I find that doing it without a shift state is easier and less annoying.
  13. I know that's why I have 2 but I need a third (1 for plane control stick, 2 for radar control throttle, 3 for rb05 control)
  14. there are a few oddities ive noticed in the rb04. 1. Sometimes the missiles just flat out fails to lock on, passing within 100m of a target clearly in its sensor cone. 2. AI launched rb 04 popup in terminal phase like a tomahawk. Thought they didnt do that. 3. sometimes player and ai launched rb04 simply crash into the sea either a few meters before target to half a kilometer from target. (they were not shot down, were launched against weaponless ships. not 100% sure these are bugs, maybe theyre weapon failures models, but i dont know.
  15. I would first try jester out before saying it needs to be in every module. Everyone keeps talking how awesome jester is despite basically no one outside the devs even using it. Is it going to be terrible? Prob not. Is it going to be flawless? prob not. But feels like people are putting cart before horse by formulating an guesstimation of something they never tried.
  16. Seems like a viggen driver would benefit from having 3 joysticks. I have 2, the nub on the warthog throttle and the actual warthog joystick that came with it. Wondered if anyone has any recommendation for a third to either act as the rb5 missile controller or the radar pipper slew controller...
  17. Anyone know how to increase the area of effect size? I thought that increasing height of function would spread out the skeet dispensers more, but they seem to stay clustered together whether they deploy at 700 or 3000. Anyone know how to spread the love around? That being said, it is super fun to watch the CBU-97/105 at work. Just so cool for ED to make graphics and effects of the dispensers and skeets when they deploy. It just looks so cool.
  18. Thanks! Minor update, took the CPU out, checked it over, didn't find anything weird. I did have to clean off some thermal paste that got over the chip and got down into the pins... ugh... rice-sized grain my ass... had to use a toothbrush and 91% isopropyl alcohol to clean out the holes in the seat. What a nightmare. Got it back together and everything is running fine. Not sure what that was all about though. I might bring the old PSU to work and use the voltameter to see if the old PSU is still working.
  19. Well, if only the enemy was so cooperative. You can't easily see manpads or even spaa's when you're so close to the ground and the Mig 21 is fast enough to chase you down. I'd think it would be more like "how do you not die when youre ordered to destroy a target that has a lot of angry people around armed with guided sticks of dynamite and no real way to decoy them." I'm asking because of that instant mission for the Viggen where you bomb an airbase. You got plenty of bombs and 2 aims but, first time i played it, i didn't see the migs taking off and they just about shot all of us down cause no one had the pods apparently... or the wherewithall to fight back. Or communicate that there were migs shooting us down cause viggen AI just be like that. so when, not if, you get fired upon on the day you forgot to put on your big boy countermeasure pants, is there really nothing you can do to avoid getting blown up at the relatively safe altitude of 100 feet?

  21. So the requirements on the site reads 16 GB ram recommended, 32 gb for asset heavy missions. So I upgraded to 32 gb, but forgot that WIN 7 home premium only supports 16 GB. I'm thinking about upgrading to windows 10, (not win 8 cause it won't support VR in future builds) but has anyone noticed a difference between 16gb and 32 gb? Does it really help out those frames in object heavy missions?
  22. I don't know what to tell you guys, the reddish lighting my flourecent dining room lights reflect off the gloss on the board, giving it a copperish tint. I went over every inch of the board with an LED light and can't find any stains. I'm going to check my CPU. Maybe that was what the smell was, fingers crossed. Will update if I find anything. Maybe my roommate lied about burning something? I dunno. So odd.
  23. Anyone know how to hit moving targets with the CBU 97? An example of this is the A10C quick missions in Normandy labelled "CAS". If you follow JTAC instructions, he'll ask you to attack 3 tanks and SPAA with a CBU97. Problem is that the CCRP doesn't factor in hang time when the munitions are descending on parachutes phase. So by the time the pucks get thrown, the target is safely out of the target area. I've tried the highest and lowest HOF settings, hoping to either reduce parachute time or spread the area of effect out more, but nothing seems to help. i've tried to lead the target, but I have to lead so much, my targets are off the TGP in full zoom out. And even then they manage to drive through the area of effect and still escape, not to mention that they sometimes change directions and avoid the area that way. Also, did they change the damage model? I stopped the tanks by popping one with a Maverick and then dropping a CBU97 while they were stationary. And it went off in the middle of the 3 tanks but only killed one. thought it should hsve been powerful enough to kill all 3 but apparently not.
