Thanks for this, was just going to ask if their was a way to bind. If I use my mouse it ends up going outside the game and when I click i have to take the rift off and click back in.

Since 1.5 I no longer have the English cockpit even though it is selected in the options. I can read Cyrillic, some of the Russian words are very similar and I know all the switches anyway so it's not a big deal, but is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong since I've upgraded to 1.5?

Took about 20 minutes but finally shot him down. Kept pulling close on him and then pulling the stick back slightly too far and bleeding too much speed

Since 1.5, quite frequently, if I get locked up by an enemy, the lock noise will persist long after I have broken the lock and the RWR is no longer flashing. There are no particular circumstances under which this is happening other than being locked by an enemy. I have only tested this in multiplayer so I'm not sure if it occurs in single player. If it does I will update this post.

Keep an eye on your angle if attack on the gauge. Do not exceed 28 degrees and take it slow on the stick. Don't pull it all the way back straight away. Bank either direction and pull back on the stick gradually while watching the AOA, do not go beyond the yellow area. The blinking red lights tell you that you have exceeded allowable AOA so if you are going to keep an eye on any hung while turning that is probably the most important along with speed and g load. Try not to go below 400 kph or it will be very hard to control/fall out of the sky. If you exceed 5 gs you will probably lose any bombs and external tanks. Also the mig really hates negative g load and you will flame out and have to do an emergency air restart.

There is also the flight manual located in dcs world openbeta\mods\aircraft\l39\docs as well as the quick start guide. Flight manual has a good chunk of history in it as well.

Did you try via the module manager? It should actually just pop up when you log in when you start dcs 1.5 so long as you purchased using the same account ; However it says updates are currently suspended for 1.5 due to heavy traffic in the 1.5 change log official update, last post, and I'm not sure if that includes installing the L39.

I completely agree that it shouldn't have been removed and the old bindings need to come back, but the functionality is still there, you can still click all the switches in the same manner so I certainly wouldn't day that it has been brought down to FC3 level of detail. It sucks but I doubt it is somehing that LN can't easily fix.

I specifically built a custom toggle box to sit in between my hotas just for dcs and the mig21 had gotten the most use out of it as it was my favourite module, now it sits idly. This isn't a jab at LN either, you guys have done amazing work with the mig21 I would just like to continue to have the same great experience with it moving forward.

I noticed this actually. I normally run 3413 x 1440 but monitors native is 2560 x 1080 and had to run at the native resolution until I found a solution for the full screen issue in 1.5 beta. Was at that point that I noticed the shimmering on both the L39 and f15 gauges. As soon as I got the higher resolution back, shimmering is no longer an issue.

Thanks, ya it seems to be related to that. On the other thread with the 4K issue someone suggested I just change my desktop resolution to the same as what I want in the sim and that works. Alt enter would fix it but since I run 2 monitors alt enter just makes it full screen on my secondary monitor which makes no sense. For now this fix works although I can't stand that resolution on the desktop lol.

If the original controls could be added back in that would be pretty awesome. Spdt non momentary toggles just don't work with this. All my weapons controls are bound to proper toggles and now I have to turn the toggle on then off then on to use the function (or double bind which gets out of sync easily). For the moment it's now faster to just click on the switches while engaging in combat.

3770k and gtx980 here experiencing the same thing. Thought it was odd that I get extremely high fps max settings within the cockpit view and odd stutters I'm outside view. Now I know the cause, thanks.
