  1. Hey @kaco Thanks for the kind words. The next campaign, "Operation Green Line", is almost complete.
  2. Hi @TheCoyoteHunter It is a DCS bug which has impacted quite a few missions. It relates to the “Part of group in zone” trigger not behaving correctly. I have already done a fix and in fact DCS has corrected it as well. It will be out in next update. Unfortunately there was no update in Jan so this is why it has been broken for a while. As I said this bug has impacted a couple of my missions. Hope this helps.
  3. Hi @Ruda_Malpa An update. It is a DCS bug, it is a problem with the “Part of group in zone” trigger not functioning correctly. I have already issued a fix but also DCS have also fixed the issue generally. This will be issued in next DCS update which will be in Feb sometime. Unfortunately the release of the fix is out of my control. Hope this helps. The issue has impacted a lot of missions. Hope this helps.
  4. Not design, there is a possible DCS bug relating to its use in older missions. It is however set up correctly in the mission scripting for ACLS use . Must admit never use it myself.
  5. Yeah, not sure what I can do , it is set up correctly, it might be worth putting an entry in the general DCS bug section. Hope you got your eye in.
  6. Hi @Trigati Will double check winds and course. At some point will possibly think of changing but the Hornet gives such an all round ability both on land and sea. So can make quite varied missions.
  7. Yeah @Biggles81 that is what I have tried to do. Helps you learn in hopefully a fun way. It may be a bug, all I can say is the mission is set up correctly for ACLS, must admit I always like to come in flying by the the seat of my pants.
  8. Hi Sorry I am not able to help you with the logs. I think its something not right your end as I can load with no problems this end. Its probably best if you put a request on the general DCS 2.9 forum and see if somebody can give you some advise using your log. I will try also to send your logs to somebody see if they can help. If I get a response I will let you know.
  9. Hi @MAck472 I only use Open Beta. Just opened both missions without any problems. I cannot test in the Stable version, but have had no other reports to date. Noted in the log there is a collision with a Tanker aircraft. I have noted that some while back DCS made updates to the aircraft carrier which resulted in two aircraft parking in same position, which they did not before. I fixed that a while back. If this is the issue in stable it could be my fix has not yet got to stable yet. I would strongly suggest you move to Open Beta, the problem with stable is it takes a long while before any fixes issued in Open Beta percolate down. Hope this helps.
  10. Thanks @Biggles81 glad you enjoyed it. Hope you enjoy ROPL2. The next campaign in line is almost complete. ‘Operation Green Line’.
  11. Hi @Stain Best thing to do is raise it on the forum under F18 and bugs. It may or may not be a bug and could be as intended but at least you can make your point to ED.
  12. Hi @Biggles81 As Ford says concentrate on the two on the right your wing should go for the ones on the left. You have one 120 so can get one at quite a distance which should make them defensive. Your main advantage is your Aim9x missiles. These linked with your helmet mounted display means you can take out aircraft out at nearly 90 degrees. Fly aggressively and keep changing direction once engaged. Good luck
  13. Hey @Spider64 @RedLion You are both correct , just checked it. It is the result of a recent DCS bug. Currently if 'part of group in zone' is used and the unit is killed DCS thinks the unit as reached the zone in question. In this case as soon as vehicle is hit DCS thinks the vehicle has travelled to the end of it's route and the enemy soldiers appear to kill the good guys way ahead of time, not as intended in the mission. ED is aware of this issue which must have impacted a lot of existing missions and hopefully they will fix it for next update. Just in case I have revised this mission to 'all of group in zone' which does work. This update will be in next DCS update. Sorry about that, but out of my control Thanks for the heads up though much appreciated.
  14. Hi @Spider64 The soldiers only appear when the vehicles reach the bus. You need to kill the three vehicles before they get to the bus. Do you think this is what is happening? Hope this helps.
  15. HI @Biggles81 Glad you got its sorted. Yes general rule is no more than 300 knots when waiting for somebody to join you. This applies in all my campaigns.
  16. Hi @Biggles81 Ok thought it was mission 6 as this is the title of this subject. Can you explain exactly what happens and do you have Tacview, as a file of the flight would be really useful. What should happen is as you turn over the sea you should get a tanker call and it will appear a few miles ahead. You should then, on EZ, get in position behind tanker and get the refuel complete message. You then wait for your wing to complete or he may have already finished but you need to move away from the tanker and start heading away from the Tanker to the next way point when the mission will end. Let me know where this varies. Thanks
  17. Hi @Biggles81 Are you talking about mission 6? In this mission your wing lands at a land base and should not plug with you.
  18. Hi @Ruda_Malpa Yes it is a bug, suggest you report it on the forum, I will do the same. Have had a couple of strange things like this on a few missions. Thanks.
  19. Hey @Stain Glad your enjoying the campaigns Yes all the campaigns are supported, and yes it can be a real nightmare, but all worth it if fellow pilots are enjoying them. We were mixed regarding the skip facility but it has proved very useful. Our difficulty is that when a problem has been raised by someone, and we do depend on them as it is impossible to test over 80 missions every update, we can sometimes fix quickly but it can only be distributed to the pilots in a main DCS update, which could be a month later. Been working on a new campaign for 9 months which will be fifth in the suite of campaigns continuing Ford’s story, about 80% complete. “Operation Green Line”.
  20. Hi @cm2 No not yet, I have been busy with the new campaign at the moment. Sometimes it can take a good while for ED to respond and fix things. Are you still getting the same problem. If you have not got a response then lodge an update to say you have not had a response. To be honest the more they get the more likely they are to deal with it. When I get some time will check it out. In fact there is a mission in my new campaign which has some helos and 9xs which I am testing shortly.
  21. HI @Biggles81 The mail is badger633campaigns@gmail.com You are correct the mission fails as soon as the first vehicle is destroyed. The problem is a recent DCS update appears to have corrupted the trigger in some way. Anyway it is fixed now and will be updated in the next DCS update. Thanks for the heads up
  22. Hi @Biggles81 So I understand it, you successfully take out the two buildings then are called back to attack the first vehicle coming up the hill and as soon as he is killed you get the mission fail? Do you have Tacview and if so could you send me the file of the flight. I will look into it. Thanks
  23. Thanks @thumperdump so much for the heads up. Yes got the issue this end. Think I have it fixed, but to be honest still do not understand the logic as script should work as it was but doesn't. Think I got it sorted though. Need to do some tests. Thanks for the info most helpful. Will get back to you when I have it sorted. The wing is attacking now. Apart from this strange activation too early basically the wing was being told to attack an aircraft that did not yet exists so ignored this command and when the bandit did exist slightly later it was too late as the command had already been given and forgotten. Cheers
  24. Hi @Biggles81 When exactly do you get the fail? This fail will occur if you enter the target area and then drift more than 18 miles away from the the target before completing your task. You must remain within 18 miles before completing your mission. Could this be the reason you are getting the fail? Thanks
  25. Thanks, I will take a look at it. Do you run any mods? Also do you happen to have Tacview and if so could you send me the Tacview file of the flight. Also did this reoccur on a second attempt or did you just run it once. Thanks.
