  1. Yes it is DCS wide. Glad your enjoying the campaign Badger633
  2. Good habit to get into. Yea, this one is with ED so hopefully will be sorted soon Badger633
  3. Happy New Year Starfire 13 Good spot, unless there has been a resurrection in 420's cockpit you are correct Will correct in next update. Thanks for picking up EDIT Fixed. Badger633
  4. Hi Yes aware of this it is a new DCS bug as of last update, not a campaign issue. I have already reported to ED. Hopeful they will sort it out soon. Sometimes just unselecting AA when activating the tacan can help but not always. Cheers Badger633
  5. Hi Will look at the typo and check it out. The Tacan is a DCS bug as of last update. Have reported to ED. Have found using the correct Tacan but do not selecting AA button seems to be a work around for the moment. The other will be a DCS bug not a Mission issue. EDIT: Just checked out the typo issue on all four versions of mission 3. The correct frequency for Arco is 318. In fact this is shown correctly on the in game brief notes at the start, also the voice over radio message and accompanying text. What is incorrect is the Kneeboard entry which shows 310. I will get that updated in the next update. Thanks' for picking that up. Hope this helps Thanks Badger633
  6. Glad your enjoying the campaigns that’s what it’s all about. Serpent’s Head is free. (6 missions, voices are generated in this first one). The idea Is that Ford’s story continues through all three campaigns starting with Serpent’s Head through Serpent’s Head 2 and then Rise of the Persian Lion. The next campaign will continue from the end of the current campaign. Badger633
  7. Hi Just been looking at it. I think you may well be right. I will have to look into it see if there is a work round. EDIT: Just set up simple mission and Tacan does not seem to be working correctly with Tankers. Checking with ED. EDIT: A work round at the moment is not to select AA on the Tacan. Thanks Badger633
  8. POSSIBLE SPOILER Some pilots have a problem with mission 3 where they have to avoid two SAM sites. The difficulty is that your on a reconnaissance set track at low level with a low level overcast cloud base. The mission can be completed by using a combination of a fast low level approach and, at the right time, a vertical manoeuvre using chaff but keeping clear of the low cloud base to avoid disorientation. I prepared a ‘mission tips’ video to help if you need it below. Hope this helps Badger633 Campaign free at User Files Nevada Black Sea 6 Mission Campaign: The Serpent's Head F/A-18C Campaign. 9. Hi I will check it out this end and get back to you. To clarify in the campaign when you do not have a wingman you need to basket on the port or left side only. When you have a wingman he will basket port or left side and you can only basket starboard or right side. I assume you have called pre contact and he has cleared you to connect to the basket. Finally the tanker very often calls breakaway it is very sensitive. Just ignore this totally and carry on with your connection. Will update this shortly after I have completed my check Badger633
  10. Assume you have boxed the Tacan on your HSI so you are no longer using the way point. Have you got a direction and distance on your HUD Have you tried increasing the scale of the HSI Hope this helps Badger633
  11. You are given the direction they are coming from. Regarding the Radar have a look at these videos. Hope this helps, Merry Christmas! Badger633
  12. If you are having difficulty with the SAMs in my original free Serpent's Head Campaign Mission 3 this my well be of help. It shows how the SAMs can be avoided by using a vertical manoeuvre. Hope this helps Badger633
  13. Hi Starting to work on next campaign. This will require frequency changes. Badger633
  14. As above Kneeboards have been added to the Campaign in the latest update. Badger633

  16. Hi No you should be carrying out two low fly pasts at say 500 feet.( This will ensure you are quite close to the runway). I can see what you mean how this could be misinterpreted. I will make that more clear in a future update. Thanks for picking that up. Regarding the way point turns, yes 5 miles is too far out to get good lines. In fact there are radio messages from Ford to his wingman when to start to take the turns. These about 3 miles out, just fly to the way point until you get those messages. Try this and all should be well. Let me know if you still have an issue and I will check fly it myself. Hope this helps Badger633
  17. I think the first fly pass at 5000 feet might have been a problem. It’s possible you we’re not directly over the runway at that height but did catch the hand off ATC message trigger. Height is not checked but location is. The requirement is for a low level pass. Not sure the crowds would see your fly past at 5000 feet Also if you didn’t get the second smoke on message it would mean again you were not in the correct position for your line up. No one has raised this issue to date but I will check it out and report. Suggest you fly again but use low level passes say 500 feet and make sure you fly accurately. Hope this helps Badger633
  18. Hi Yes all you have to do is head to Way point 6. As you and your wingman depart from the tanker you should get the final instructions. But first you need to have flown the two fly pasts correctly. Are you sure you have done this? Badger633
  19. Yes, you know how paperwork builds up in your pit
  20. Hi CBStu Agreed all campaigns do benefit from the addition off knee boards My early free Campaign, 'The Serpent's Head' ( available from the user files), had full knee boards added some time ago. The second follow up campaign, 'The Serpent's head 2' (available from the e shop), has recently had kneeboards added and they will be available in the next DCS update. My current campaign, 'Rise of the Persian Lion' ( available from the e shop) has always had full knee boards. Cheers Badger633
  21. Hopefully this fly through by Flying Kenny may help. (It is noted as mission 4 as this is from the Nevada Black Sea version but is the same mission as yours) Badger633
  22. I will check, but it is the selection in the radio menu which is important. Strike will tell you which pri button to press for correct frequency. Link below to Flying Kenny’s video of Mission 11. You can see radio call working. Hope this helps Badger633
  23. Yes, the break off is intentional as the AI wingman if left to his own devices sometimes conflicted with the player. Badger633
  24. Hi, you always have to go through the radio menu system even when you use your Hotas. As I have said you must use the COMM1 selection to pull up the radio menu as it is COMM 1 which is at the correct JTAC frequency. I believe \ is only for on the ground. You will get the message you received as it is you speaking. You are not getting a response as you are not using COMM1. One other thing. ‘Easy communications’ should be off in your game settings. Hope this helps Badger633
  25. Hi No there is no radio triggers for the case 3 approach. It’s all std DCS radio so out of my control. The only trigger is to get your wing man out of your hair when you make your approach. Not saying this is the case but very often when you get the divert response it is because you have not selected the carrier but one of the other ships of the fleet by mistake which obviously will not let you land. Selecting the wrong one is very easy I have done it a couple of times. I have looked at removing all the other fleet ships from the radio menu but currently this is not possible in the mission editor. Hope this helps Badger633
