  1. Thanks for the kind words, yes, working on the next one now. These things take an age unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed it , that's what it is all about.
  2. HI Hippo No problem, that could have been the issue. I have however received from time to time reports of this behaviour. I flew the mission myself and the wing man does tend to fly off to the right rather than slowly sinking back from the tanker before moving to the right. I hung around in the basket area to see his movement. I have captured this movement and submitted to ED who are looking into it. Hope you enjoy the ret of the campaign.
  3. Yes if you’re having difficulty that won’t help as normally you would be clear, however he should never fly into you. Just so you’re aware you do not need to do a complete refuel. As long as you have enough to get to the ABE you can abort the refuel early. A lot of the refuels are for your wing as they can run out of fuel early and break the mission. EDIT: Actually in this particular case you probably do need the fuel as you have to proceed with the mission. I have update the mission so the wing will take longer to refuel so give you more time to clear, I have also informed ED again.
  4. Hi It’s a strange one this. Please definitely report it to ED as this should never happen, it must be a bug and only happens sometimes to certain people. Are you running any mods? I will have a look at it and see if there is a work round until they fix it.
  5. Hi, do not understand, if there is a bug you would think it would be constant but your bombs are hitting in different places each time you try the mission? Can you send me a track of the mission up until the point where the bombs have failed to hit both targets? I can then check what your doing. If you do not get the message that they are destroyed and to head to the next way point things won't work out correctly. You shouldn't need to adjust angles just keep on the default. You can see from my Tacview posted above June 26th i flew it no problems with direct hits. Make sure you have no mods running. Passing the increased tolerance version to ED today will be in next update. Hope this helps, look forward to your track.
  6. Hi No unfortunately you need to go for the currently darker TIGR vehicles. Apparently they are darker as ED has not completed the Updated IR rendering for all the vehicles. The TIGR being one of the ones not updated yet. I will mention to ED again. Thanks.
  7. Yes, PP1 is pre planned target location 1. In the beginning all preplanned boxes are crossed ie they have no coordinates entered. You select the first one and the station it relates to. Enter the coords and that PP1 will have its cross removed to confirm all coords good. You then select the crossed box PP2 and also step to the relevant bomb. Then enter second coords. When done PP2 box will also go clear. You have now set coords for two targets which relate to the selected bomb stations. As I said in the your track the second set of coords had an error in the first number. Hope this helps.
  8. Now had a chance to look at your track. Your problem in your track is in the coord entry. When you entered the first target ( using station 2) the coords were correct but for some reason the PP1 box remained crossed , it should go clear when you have entered your coords correctly. You then entered the coords for target 2 ( using station but did not select the PP2 box before starting so you were overwriting the PP1 again with the coords for target 2. Finally the Easting for target 2 was incorrect starting with 54 not the 64 you entered. Hope this helps.
  9. Hi Bubud Glad you got there in the end. It is a strange one, I check flew it myself a recently and all went well, you can see my track in a response above. I will have a look at your track and see if I can spot anything. Will let you know if I do. Hope your enjoying the campaign.
  10. Hi Thanks for that. The right hand bomb is a bit North of target and the left hand bomb is a bit west of the target. Are you absolutely sure the entered coords match those given? EDIT: Don't know why your bombs are missing. If you do not take out the SA10 with the bombs things will not unfold correctly. I have just edited the mission. I have given a larger distance tolerance for bombs that may miss the target for what ever reason. Also it should now not be possible to hit the SA10 with guns as it will remain active. This will be out in next update so hopefully will resolve your issue. Hope this helps Cheers
  11. Hi @MacaoP20 As promised have just flown the mission, current open beta. Hope this helps.Tacview-Mission 9 part 2 open beta 26June23-DCS.zip.acmi
  12. Hi @MacaoP20 Hope this helps. Are you in standard or open beta versions? Also are you running any mods? Any mods can have strange effects on missions.
  13. Hey, glad you stuck with it and beat the mission. Yes my campaigns have been designed to give you additional challenges on a progressive basis which will increase your knowledge and skill Flying the Hornet. All tied together with a continuous developing plot line throughout the series to make it more interesting. Better buckle up for Mission 9 part 2, it can be a handful.
  14. To complete this mission it will need to be flown in the standard version. Currently there is a DCS bug which does not allow you to see the I.R Beam with NVGs in the Multi Thread Version of DCS. Have reported some time ago. Will update when ED has fixed it. Update : IR beam is visible in MT but very very faint until bug is fixed.

  16. Hi Will update the briefs as you suggest as I always like to improve things when I can and yes a lot of people are still flying this campaign. I do keep all my campaigns continuously up to date as soon as things are raised and will from time to time go through older ones and improve them. Recently updated the free Serpent’s Head Campaign to be fully voiced by voice actors rather than emulated voices. Not sure what has happened with Tacan as you will definitely pick it up if heading back to the Way Point as directed. Make sure you do not have AA selected as this requirement was stopped quite a while ago by DCS. I will check it when I get back to my rig but to date nobody has reported this issue. Not sure why you could not hit the targets are you setting up the JSOW and coordinates for the final target correctly. As above nobody else has reported this issue. I will check this as well. I have a video on how to select the correct coordinates format if that is any help. Note what you say about when to call a mission fail. There are a few camps on this one. Most pilots want to know quite early rather than fly all the way back and maybe, in some missions, carry out a difficult landing in bad weather only to find out they failed the mission quite early on. As a campaign creator you just have to make a call on this one. Yes I have more recent campaigns. The next is ‘Rise of the Persian Lion’ ( A 15 mission campaign starting in the Black Sea and continuing in the Persian Gulf) and ‘Rise of the Persian Gulf 2’ (A 13 Mission campaign in the Persian Gulf). These campaigns continue the story line of this campaign adding additional characters, wingmen and strategic flights plus adding more complexity and difficulty as they progress. If it helps this is a link to a fly through of the mission by Flying Kenny done two years ago. I will update this with my feed back when I have had a chance to check fly this mission. Thanks.
  17. Thanks for the excerpt, perhaps the explanation was in the PDF version of the brief cannot access that at the moment, but happy to clarify it in the in game brief as well in a future update. Basically the principle as far as the mission is concerned is that if you keep the recommended distance from the SAM site it will not go into an alert (Red condition) but remains in green condition and is therefore not looking for your missiles. The real explanation The description of the location of the tanker is not actually meant for you to locate it. You should be using the Tacan which is given to you. Hope this helps.
  18. Hi, glad your enjoying the campaign. I am away from my rig for this week but will check when I’m back, but am pretty sure the brief clearly sets out what conditions would put the SAMs into red alert. See Rob10’s post three posts above which confirms this. Hope this helps.
  19. Hi They should match. Are you using the correct format for the precise coordinates you are given. I have a video of this mission showing how to select correct format and then entry. Check what you are doing with this. It’s also explained in the brief. Hope this helps.
  20. Hi could you please report it as a bug to ED please. It is a bug and not within our control. The more reports the better. I will draw your report, if you send me the link, to their attention. Thanks. Not at my rig at the moment or for a few days but see if I can come up with a work round fix. I will let you know.
