First thanks for all the replies. After spending some more time in the cockpit I think I got it right now. I took more time to warm up the engine and was more careful after takeoff After taxi, I stood on the brakes and moved the throttle forward very slowly to get the temps higher before I let go for take-off. also helpt a lot. I also changed the map, somehow on Las Vegas map the engine is more likely to break. At least for me. Is it normal that after a flight the oil temperature doesn't go back at all? I landed with 82C° and it wouldn't go back into the green. rpm was min. and MP just a little bit as I understood from the manual RPM is only reached by the prop with sufficient MP. if there isn't rpm goes down that means i set my rpm move MP slowly until RPM is reached and then give just a notch more pitch by moving the MP a bit further

ok this now makes sense to me. after take off first MP has to go, then reduce RPM. this is a good tipp, i will try this asap

i did read the manual on the constant speed prop, but it still is most likely pilot error :D why do you mean i kill the engine with these setting? the numbers aer from my head, as i already wrote in flight i keep 2100-2400 RPM and give MP until i reach the RPM and maybe a notch more MP. Both RPM and MP are then in the green zone that is good to know, thx for the reply also thx for this reply, after my first few failures i went extremly carefully with RPM and MP, maybe to much? normal failure for me is engine quits, makes a few noises and dies. prop still spinning. yesterday while buzzing around Lasvegas i got the sudden prop stop for the first time. i then watched the replay and everything was alright, the oil temp was at 85C° when the motor died. i know its a bit high, i was flying low and slow but 85 is still in the green bar.

Hi, i want to fly this plane just for fun and chill, but im braking the engine every single flight:D i start up the plane and taxi to the runway. on Start i set RPM to MAX and MP goes to 45 i get into the air without any problems. at 1000 to 1500ft AGL I decrese RPM to 21 (middle of the green bar) and pull the MP back so that the engine is capable to maintain RPM without much prop increase. that means MP is also in the first half of the green bar. at this setting, i mostly got 250knts and cruise around. there is not a single guage near a red line, all of them are well in the green zone but still engine crackles and its dead. no rpm increase no MP increase, it just dies. sometimes the prop brakes abruptly what I tried: toggle cooling off on the ground and activate it in flight - no effect use ram air on the ground and switch to unrammed in flight -no effect the aircraft is in a clean configuration with about 75% fuel i dont know what i do wrong:( EDIt: before i take off, i always make sure oil temp is ok and not too low

i used it myself and wouldn't fly without it, the biggest feature is the Coords capturing on the F10 map, even if you don't use the auto fill it still sorts your targets and keeps the coorrd's ready to enter. i love it very much, and its handy af. i overspeeded the gear, it wouldn't retract or extend, the emergency twist on the gear handle brought it back down. so its definitely working.

i do it exactly like this and it works like a charm.

when landing on the Stennis with a Multicrew Tomcat, the RIO will always see the wire attached to the plane. from then on it is stuck to the plane until you restart the server a mission. it does not cause any problems while flying. And it looks like its pure visual for the RIO. the pilot does not have this Desync. Testet on multiple Online servers. When the TOmcat starts again from the Stennis, the Visual bug can go away, but as soon as you turn your head to the carrier the wire will appear again. Edit: Also this bug appears on every map for the RIO.

same for me: i put an AI craft in a 20° bank angle orbit and the only time i got a hit was by holding the pipper in front of the target.

i know this isnt a solution but if you press ALT on the UFC you can deactivate it by deactivate the GPWS on the ODU. you will not recive any ground warnings, Sound and HUD edit: also it really is off never had the sound again. i turn it off on the ground while startup.

hmm F18 is already Easy refueling, compared to other modules. you can literally activate BALT after connection trim a little bit to left or right and then activate ATC and go afk for 5minutes. When you come back your done refueling. I cant imagine how this could be esier without teleporting the fuel into your jet.

it is the same behavior like that but also applies when im not moving at all. when im standing still, activate NWS HI and go over 40-50% rudder the hornet just goes forward.

hi, I'm gonna Hijack your thread xD when I steer with NWS HI I can't go over 3/4 rudder input or steering will no longer work, it feels like I can turn the wheel almost over 90° is this a bug? when not can I somehow change that? thx in advance

das isses eben, genau das. Du bist ein keybord warrior, und hast keine ahnung von dem Modul. 90% user error keine Bugs....oder wurden bereits gefixt. Das würdest du merken wen du das teil Fliegen würdest anstatt nur im forum darüber her zu ziehen. Bug1 sagt mir gar nix target wird designiert in TV mode, wen er nicht mehr sichtbar ist schaltet er auf ins. keine ahnung was man da designieren sollte / möchte (heisst nicht das dies eventuel kein bug ist. sehe nur nicht wozu ich da was designieren will im INS wp villeicht?) Bug 2 ist einfach eine einstellungs sache, ich habe den slew auf dem DMT from warthog ohne jegliche probleme. bug 3 wirklich? eventuel was mit den flügeln zu tun? goggle hald mal, kann man aber ohne problem fliegen. bug 4 hatte ich nie. bug 5 gibts auch nicht tracking funktioniert einwandfrei im harrier, 100 konvois gekillt. bug6 ist auch kein bug funktioniert immer wen man laser anmacht bombe dropt und laser wider ausmacht. bug 7 gibts auch nicht bug 8 unreleveant einfach ein frustrierter spieler der nicht tanken kann. bug 9 ist tatsächlich ein bug, eifach die auto progamme nutzen und es geht. bug 10 hatte ich auch noch nie bug 11 auch nicht einmal in 200h flug. also bitte Edit: fliege das teil seit ostern, kann den zustand davor nicht kommentieren. habe aber gehört das es wirklich ein par gravierende bugs gegeben hatt. Edit2: sry für den off topic.

würde den auf jeden fall empfehlen, fliege seit 3.5 Wochen boden einsätze bei tag und nacht, hatte nicht einen game braking bug, alle waffen funktionieren in allen abwurfmöglichkeit perfekt aus meiner sicht. das einzige was mich stört ist der verbugte MP tarrawa spawn. ansonsten wenn dir der harrier gefällt kann man den problemlos kaufen. genau so wie die mirage.

now im confused, i thougt its like this: R shows when ralt is selected and you are below 5000ft and in normal attitude (not upside down). when you go above 5000ft you get a blicking B meaning it shows barometric now, or you should switch to balt. when you switch to balt, the B vanishes and you now have only the numbers.

where can you see this on the hornet hud?

Hi! Im not completely sure if this a bug or not. When I Lase a target with TGP and LASER on MARK, the AGM still locks on to the Mark laser and hits it target! Happy weekend! EDIT: wrong forum crap! thx for moving
