Yes it is, trimming is life in the viggen, but you can activate autopilot for a second and he will trim the aircraft for you :) 2. the hud is not bad but get used to flying instrumental in the viggen. theres a good chance that the hud stops working and just go black when do some maneuvers (DCS Bug) i use the hud for landing and weapon deployment not much more. dont forget its a 50 year old plane^^ its very basic but good! 3. i do not get often compressor stalls but when i get it its hardcore, from 5 stalls i can recover 1-2 times the othertimes im going down without getting the engine running again.(ok this is more of a flame out, think i didnt have a real stall yet) but for sure flying low AoA > 16° + compressor stall = dead | i never got a stall by excessive throttling either flyng low and fast was never a problem. just activate altitude hold and the plane is trimmed out after a few sec.
  3. do you have other entries in Export.lua? if yes, make sure tacview entrie is the first one. fixed the same problem for me

  6. i set up a mission with moving Speedboats @70km/h i got this idea from a dev Video. We were 4 Viggens engaging targets. all uf us had the same problem with the aiming reticule shifting left right while aiming. My first attack went perfect, i placed the reticule on the target, after 5 Sec i hit the safety knob, the viggen startet motion measurement and i noticed the hud shift a little bit, i engaged and hit the target. i saved the trigger again an evaded. While doing the same thing in the second pass, after going anf and go into a dive the reticule was shifting left right on a 1 sec intevall, i wasnt able to place the reticule on target again, this happend for all of us. After some fideling and restarting we noticed that the motion measurement system shiftet the hud to the wrong site, instead of shooting in before the moving target we had to aim behind it, basically the wrong direction 180°. (probably another bug) since we all are not very proficient with this system, someone else who can confirm that would be great. EDIT: No Wind at all in the mission stable version of DCS 1.5.6 / Cold startup

  8. Hi, After flying multiply Big missions we had some ideas about the Data Cartridge. It would be really nice if we could feed the Cartridge with a exelsheet or txt file or something, i imagine a file where we put in landing base, start base, rwy hdg, and the waypoints and targetpoints. this would allow us to make new Data Cartridge after the situation changes. Sometimes when we load the Cartridge, half of the waypoints are bugt, we couldnt reproduce it constantly so no bugreport filled out yet. but its a problem. Of course we can not load the Cartridge at all and input everything by hand, this takes alot of time and if you do somthing wrong the whole system is bugged.(not an actual bug, just killed the grid) If i could prepare a Cartridge for me and my wingman outside of ME that would be very nice!
  9. when im flying in 2.1 i got no radar lines (the small black lines indicating the middle and the range) the radar screen is literally blank, except the radar image itself and the horizon indication tested with a cold startup at nellis 2.1

    wow, that is infact some toatal bullshit, when you go indepth with the viggen you will see alot of small bugs, and by alot i mean alot. there are also gamebraking navsystem bugs you cant even fly for 2h multiply sorties without breaking the viggen. and its ok because its early acess and bugs gets fixed very fast. But i have to say, there were not half of the gambraking bugs in the mirage than in the viggen at the relaese. game braking bug for me is that im not able to do my mission. not actually crashing dcs

  14. We used a Roadbase 500m from a destroyd airport, i used the normal reloading window from the airport not the groundcrew. after rearming from RB04 to RB15 and 3 min later i suddenly exploded.

    there are different ways of telling the same sentence. i can understand when someone tries to understand where he has his information from. Anyhow, i would like to know more of the state of the Mirage, i read alot of missing systems and its unfinished, but all i know is that the rader should have an AG mode? can someone help me understand what most people are complaining about? i read through the stickis but couldnt find the missing systems. thx in advance
  16. AFK should disengage when throttle is moved with more than 10kg of force i think. ingame it does not disengage even with full throttle. tested on stable version 1.5
  17. im using custom kneeboards since day 1 only problem i found a the bindings. If your kneeboard is implemented correctly you should see your pages after or before the transparent pages. until now, i have no clue how to get rid of those transparent pages.
  18. take a picture zoomed in on RADAR with radar in A1, and radar range set to 120km, maake sure your not over the sea, and your not facing over the sea. after that we can look further

  21. I knew im coming in in a 3 ° angle offset from rwy, but that 3 seems alot more when actually in the air^^ i think i said it already, but TILS wasnt made for this kind of bad weather. Landing Phase 3 is always a visual landing and you should see the RWY 0.5 Miles out. buts its totally doable :) after a few rounds i was able to make much better landings in this conditions^^
  22. thanks, my turn at LB1 was just 2 sec. i got confused because i wanted to demonstrate how the HUD is guiding you through the circle.
  23. did a short flight with the viggen in very low visibility: i did a lot of mistakes but got her on the ground safely
  24. i have a washable keyboard from logitech. best purchase ever
