Buddy Fox A10C UFC Failure
oskich replied to Phantom_Mark's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Interesting? I had some driver issues with my Windows 10 PC connecting the UFC, and I got reply and a fix from them via email within 12 hours... -
They had me at "Analogue Slew Stick" - Finally :)

Replacement cable for Warthog stick
oskich replied to CptTangerine's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Isn't that just a standard USB cable, that you can buy at any DIY/ hardware store? Probably even easier to "cannibalize" some old keyboard/printer cable... -
The flaps are automatically retracted when you pull the gear up...

please recommend another "soft" stick

I have a VKB Gladiator Mk2 - Extremely smooth, and accurate. No center axis detent, as for the CH stick. https://flightsimcontrols.com/product/vkb-sim-gladiator-mk-ii-joystick/ For 94 € it's a bargain! :-) -
Yup! No adapter needed :-) Brake lever will act as a button, instead of an axis though (as with the Warthog).
-
Cycle your "Trigger Unsafe", this will activate your next missile :-) I use the first detent on the Warthog trigger for this. So when I release and re-press the trigger it cycles to the next one... Skickat från min SHIELD Tablet K1 via Tapatalk

Yes, I bought mine at the local hardware store "Clas Ohlson" here in Sweden. It's a really nice system - Been using it for 15 years in my boat :-) -

I use RAM-mounts to connect them to my Virpil desk mount- Fully adjustble and you can remove them without tools in 3 seconds :-) The MFD's are mounted on standard steel-plate from my local carpenter's store. Bolted together with size-B RAM's. I plan to give the metal plates a touch of black spray paint... 4 x https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-202U 2 x https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-201U-A -

I combined a Virpil T-50 base with a 10cm extension and a TM Warthog grip - It's a really nice combo. You can buy the grip for 96€ from Thrustmaster :-) The Virpil base is much better than the original warthog. Highly customizible and the thing I really like - No center resistance, which translates to extremly accurate movements around the center. The build quality is several leagues higher than TM's... -
After the Firmware update - Which profile do I load? -
It's a bit tricky - This is how I did it... To reach the screws at the base of the lever, you have to use a small narrow screw driver and lift it upwards to reach the screws :) (You can also remove the top plastic w/ all markings to get more room - It's attached with 3 screws and some adhesive)
-
Tried to update mine (SN#02654 - Firmware V.20) connected to a USB 3.0-port, which didn't work. Changed to a USB 2.0 and there was no problem updating to V.23 - Just downloaded the latest firmware updater from Thrustmaster... https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/hotaswarthogflightstick-en/
-
Installed and working! :smilewink: Order #321 Had to take apart the other side of the lever to re-install the connector for the PCB, which was very short - Recommend non magnetic tweezers for this operation, as it sits just next to the connector magnet...

My American friend's favourite Swedish word is "Slut-station" - While using the public transport here in Stockholm - Means "End station" ;-)

** DCS: AJS-37 WIP Pre-Release Manual Released! **
oskich replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Some 3rd party aircraft... The first one is actually quite advanced, but DCS makes all other sims feel like an old Amiga 500 ;) FlightGear http://wiki.flightgear.org/Saab_37_Viggen http://nikolaivchr.github.io/flightgear-saab-ja-37-viggen/ Strike Fighters 2 http://combatace.com/topic/87980-tsf-saab-37-viggen-flygvapnet-package/ -
Utan Spaning Ingen Aning - 1981 (In Swedish) SF37 Viggen - Photo survelliance version + SH37 showing radar picture with ship targets and navigation cues :-)
