Setting the Artificial Horizon selector knob (Lower right of the torque gauge) to DOP will give you a vertical line on the Main Artificial Horizon, it lines up with the current heading from the NADIR. I find it very useful.

Man, you're doing a really great job with these tutorials. You don't ramble, waste time or go into way more detail than need be like I see a lot of other tutorials do. Keep it up.

To be fair, DCS is not known for it's voice acting. Any case, I'm excited, especially as 80% of the campaign is dark.

Total hour flight hours in the logbook go up from using the Gazelle but individual flight hours for the Gazelle don't.

I would love the ability to save mid-mission as some missions in DCS can take over an hour. I know it's possible to to just replay a track if you've saved it and fast forward to the part you left off, but that doesn't add to your logbook, doesn't count as a mission success in a campaign and well... it's just really awkward. So please EG?

The Gazelle's probably the most "fun" chopper in the game. The thing is so light that what would be crazy in the Huey or Mi8, is perfectly fine in the Gazelle. And the minimalist cockpit and systems makes the aircraft so much easier to learn. Honestly, I always recommended the DCS Huey to anyone wanting to start out with Helicopter simulation (not just DCS but all simulation in general) but I may switch that to the DCS Gazelle.

The Gazelle doesn't show up in the missions tab. I assume they didn't add it in because they aren't working on any Nevada missions (as far as I know).

If anyone has any custom missions to share, please do so. I'm loving the Gazelle but I'm inching for more content to play with in the machine.

I've noticed it goes black if I quickly put the collective down after touching the ground. I'm sure rapidly lowering the collective like that, even on the ground, will have some negative affect but I'm sure it's not generating the sort of G's to blackout the pilot.

What he means is, he's inverted the axis of the collective so collective down in game is full throttle forward IRL. I do this as well to replicate the feel of an actual collective.

I use the WARTHOG HOTAS and pedals, as well. This set up has worked perfectly fine for me with the Huey and MI8 so I don't see the gazelle being any different.
