  1. The server update appears to still be happening in the main UI thread.
  2. Last night I hit a friendly because of this. The TCS did not change to the new target that I locked in PAL mode. Is this something that should be reported as a bug?

  4. Last night I saw a sam launch, and a solid 15-20 seconds later jester called it out. I think he is accurate but late in his calls.
  5. I have 64Gb, and my PC was using 24 total while DCS was running according to task manager. I don't think it is a RAM issue, at least, not when I saw the issue.
  6. This happened tonight to me for the first time. This was on the GAW server, first flight after loading DCS: I tried watching the track file afterwards, but the altimeter worked perfectly in the replay.
  7. I am noticing the same issue since the last update. During the refresh the entire UI is locking up for seconds at a time. This includes freezing the mouse. It seems like the update is happening in the main UI thread instead of a background thread.

What I am using (although not exactly what you asked for, it does keep liveries out of the main game folder): I have an Entry.lua file in my saved games folder under Mods\aircraft\Liveries Import. I don't remember whether I had to create this file or whether it already existed and I edited it: The contents of Entry.lua: The line mount_vfs_liveries_path points to any location on your PC to store liveries. On my PC at that location: Note that all custom liveries live here, not just for the tomcat. I don't know if there is as way to do a plane specific folder or not.

  10. Is this with a radar using pulse or pulse doppler? I was under the impression that only pulse doppler can be notched.

I believe this is a DCS bug that is over a year old now: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=221983 I have had the RWR give me both lock and launch warnings while sitting on the ramp on various servers when the nearest enemy aircraft were 200 nm away (for example, the "through the inferno" server which tells you precisely where the nearest enemy aircraft are every minute or so).
  14. The default pit is a work of art and definitely a new standard for DCS! But it will also be nice when the third party pits can pass the integrity check for multiplayer :)

    FOV request

    The FOV range for most (all?) aircraft in DCS is 20-140, but for the tomcat is 30-140. This puts the tomcat at a disadvantage when trying to spot ground targets compared to other planes. Any chance the min FOV could be changed to 20 to bring it in line with the other planes in DCS? Changing it myself breaks integrity check for multiplayer. Thanks in advance!
  19. My mistake, I assumed multiplayer because I see this on every server.
  20. When on the deck, the aircraft position should be sent around the network relative to the origin of the ship, not relative to the origin of the world. An extra byte in the network position message will indicate which object the position/velocity are relative to. This will stop all sliding on other clients no matter how the boat moves or how much lag is present on the network.
  21. I would like to see jester be smarter about pointing the radar up or down to paint a datalinked target for a phoenix launch, since the datalink info includes the target altitude.
  22. I had the same issue for a while until I discovered that "missile prep on" needs a couple of minutes before you can fire a phoenix or sparrow.
