Can you do voice attack/VIACOM pro without paying?
Bottle-RUM replied to Glass_onion's topic in VAICOM
Only thing i can say is, it was money is well spent! Voice attack & Vaicom including all modules! Almost never have to use F keys to zift through radio menu’s again and give commands to jester. and above all, it’s way more immersive to use speech recognition to use radio! Vaicom creator Hollywood_315 has a solid reason to ask a imo fair price for his work on this.- 17 replies

i would really also like to see these kind of "Strike or Deep strike" missions, bomb strategic assets that Kraszus mentioned. - compound with targets - weapon factories - munition/fuel depots

neither do I. I don't hate it, but I'm not really convinced either. but if real A-10 pilots say that is wat you hear inside a cockpit with a helmet on when you let that GAU-8 / A Avenger rip then i'll guess i wil have to learn to love it or get used to it?
-
Yes it really is. Anyhting but creditcard; Internet banking (ideal) Paypal Applepay, thought this was an option but it keeps asking to add a creditcard to my wallet?!

THE button box i was REALLY! looking for, but only creditcard paymant as far as i can see on kickstarter so sadly i can’t back this project

VoiceAttack with or without Viacom?
Bottle-RUM replied to BlacleyCole's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Vaicom is the way to go with using voice attack for DCS, there isn’t a better voice attack profile for DCS! Vaicom pro is very wel; • supported (updates & future content) • integrated with DCS & SRS • documented (install & use guide) All radio’s (including f10 multiplayer mission menu’s) are really 100% controlled by your voice and a press of the PTT button on your HOTAS like IRL! No fumbling with F keys to dig in the radio menu any more. And you can even include existing VA profiles into his profile, so if you created one yourself you can add/integrate the whole profile to the Vaicom profile. And above that, if you have the F14B Tomcat then the AIRO Add on is a must for a menu and hands free chat with your RIO Jester..... in fact if you have the F14B Tomcat, i suggest to just buy the “PROMOTION BUNDLE” for just €14,95 and have the whole package! • PRO plugin license • Chatter extension (pure for immersion) • AIRIO extension its worth every penny! And if you have problems Hollywood_315 (creator) is a very nice & helpfull guy and very active on the support thread here on the forum itself. Once you get the hang of it, you couldn’t do without it! -
Wel $24,99 (discount) wel spent, imo! My thoughts are that you don’t shake this out of your sleeve like that, with the animations alone people are putting some hard work in this to make it happen. And money has to be earned, and above that it think this is a great step towards making the DCS world a bit more alive. Imagine military crew at the airfields etc. etc. I’ll buy it without a doubt and enjoy it like all the other modules with flaws, bugs, early acces & glitches and all.

i tried to import the F10 menu from the Throug the inferno mission, but i can't get it to work ? i have; -ticked the ''import f10 menu" in the configuration window -flown the mission (manually used F keys to start some missions) and folowed these steps; • [PRO] Import F10 Menu: adds mission F10 (Other) menu items to the keywords database. Enable this option and fly the mission: items are added as new keywords starting with ‘Action’. Go to the Keywords Editor and follow the FINISH steps to update the VA profile to use the new voice commands: using an imported keyword will execute the menu item command. but my database ends up with same amount of keywords?

Anyone playing the F/A-18C on 34" 3440x1440 monitor ?
Bottle-RUM replied to FZG_Immel's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I play on 3440x1440 on 100Hz with Gsync, my FPS goes from 40 (dense/populated area’s) to a solid 90 in most places on 1 Asus Strix GTX 1080i OC (Sli sadly isn’t supported in DCS) My spec’s are in my sig -

Ships sinking weird
Bottle-RUM replied to berk.kp's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Depends on where the ship is hit or how good the watertight compartments hold after damage? Or like the costa concordia shallows play a big part aswel. On the picture it seems that the back compartments are flooded and the front compartments are still air tight and keep the ships front buoyancy. Just like the titanic front compartment where flooded but due failing tructural integrity the ship breaks somewhere midship and there goes the rest of it to the cellar. Other wise it wil still be floating for a wile with her stern up in the air. And i don’t know how Eagle dynamics damage model is on ships? But the picture looks pretty realistic to me. You could assume that if you can see a part of the ship bottom of the hull, she done for.
