T.A.R.G.E.T max/ max values of axis
harf4ng replied to harf4ng's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I do not have the thrustmaster pedals, I bought MFG Crosswind pedals, with three axis, for the two toe brakes and the rudder. I was afraid in SC to not be able to use a left stick but in fact it is very intuitive, and very enjoyable, the best way to really enjoy space flight, and best dogfighting option. I prefer the roll on rudder because I find it more intuitive for space flights. Will use the left stick for strafe up/down and left/right, and pedals for thrusters forward / backward. Especially in elite dangerous where you have to apply a constant roll to enter stations, this is more easy to me on the rudder axis to apply a constant push in a direction. -

Though beware as this is difficult to find the center of a throttle device, so will be hard to stop your ship ;) This is why I use my hotas throttle as a... throttle (though near never used it except for cruising long distance), and use a T16000 on left hand (cheap and good stick) for thrusters. Will use my new bought MFG Crosswind pedals for thrusters forward/backward though (toe brake) and roll (rudder). -

I don't think you need something special for that, just assign your throttle axis to thruster forward/backward option in star citizen and it should work. I do that with my left T16000, to use it as strafe. A throttle should be no different... -
Anybody tried the new thrustmaster pedals?

Just bought this today: :) Now I'm eager for those to come ^^ -

Not complaining about the pedal price, just that buying the combat pedals will be cheaper than buying the standard ones then combat plates. Though will maybe do this, I want pedals, I'm in dire need of pedals... -

But will be more expensive. But I will have to take the MFG, as the BRD are too wide even for my obutto r3volution. -

Ok so I received an answer. He has too much work so cannot take new orders before next year... So, let's check who will be available the first, between BRD and MFG (with the combat plates). -

And in the kit version what do we have to assemble? Is this easy? -

Reasonable price. Now, waiting for his answer :) I have read on forums that you receive a kit you have to assemble yourself? Easy to do? -

I guess when products came from outside UE this is a bit of luck to have customs or not. Though now still waiting for an answer to my mail ^^ I like MFG, but will not wait six more months for pedals, I have waited long enough (till february ^^) Which ones did you buy, are you happy with them, and how much did you pay, including VAT and shipping? Thanks -

But the saab viggen has a centered mounted stick. FSSB sticks are more suited for side mounted sticks, right? And I don't know if I want pressure or cam sticks, as I never used a pressure stick for now. Just that, for star citizen for instance, I'll go the dual stick route for sure, and it is easier to enter my cockpit with side mounted sticks ^^ -

Those pedals seem fine. Now waiting for him to answer my mail for cost, shipping, payment, things like that ^^ Though I'm a bit worried about customs, as russia is not in european union... -

Never heard about those. Have a link? Ok, I found some links, and a mail, I sent him a mail to have more infos. Though, according to the photo, seems those kind of pedals move on a rotation basis more than a push/pull but I may be wrong. Thanks for the info, now the MFG has another competitor in my mind. The slaw are too expensive, but the MFG and slaw seems to be in my price range -

In fact I still don't have a first FSSB3, as I should spare 580 € for this ;) But ok, if they are crap, I'll not do this ^^ But you're wrong about the plates of the thrustmaster, as you could remove the half of the pedal and convert them in combat style. But yes I guess I'll continue waiting for my MFG ;) For now I have no pedal at all, which is a pain and prevent me from flying in DCS well ^^ Hope those combat plates will not be out in 6 months ;) Thanks for the advice -
Hi, Anybody tried those new thrustmaster pedals, and tell me how good (or bad) they are? I know they are plastic. Early 2016 I ordered MFG crosswind pedals, but with a note saying I'm waiting the combat plates before I'll buy them. Still waiting, as the combat plates are not ready yet... Sure, I could wait a bit more, but the thing is, I'm considering going the FSSB3 route sooner or later, and this costs money (450$ + 20% VAT for france + shipping for the base). I'm even considering the dual FSSB3 for star citizen, for instance, which will cost even more money... though I never tried a force sensitive stick before, unsure how it is... Though, wondering if I should drop my idea of the MFG, and get the thrustmaster one instead, if they are good enough, as they are cheaper and it will help me sparing money for FSSB3. Thanks

So you mean the company who made jetseats disappeared and therefore the only available jetseats are the ones already produced? Let's hope the one we have will not go out of order then ;) -

lol yes about the real world experience in sci fi :) But then we just need the effects to be "cool" rather than "real" :) After all, all sci fi games and movies are not real, the piou piou of lasers in space is not real at all, there is no sound in space ^^ I find it too much of a hassle to remove the jetseat when not playing, I have tied it to my obutto cockpit with the straps, and I do not want to untie and tie the straps again everytime, so no, I keep the jetseat on my seat all the time :) Only issue I have with the jetseat is that the control panel does not work, but gametrix is aware of this, they say it is an issue with some computers with the english version and they're working on it. But we don't really need the control panel anyway, simshaker works just fine like that, and the jetseat works well even with the bug in the control panel... -

Keep the good work. I bought the simshaker sound module for when I used a buttkicker, though I near never used it as the buttkicker made too much noise. Now I use a gametrix 908 with your usual simshaker USB app, and this is wonderful. I wonder, you say you're not implementing elite dangerous because you lack data from the software, does it mean that if a sci fi simulation (like star citizen later on for instance) will provide such data, you may agree to add support for it? Thanks I find the motors a bit hard and even without using the vibration after hours on the seat I feel a bit of pain on my buttock :) Not that painful though, just a bit. So I would recommand maybe put a cushion on your seat when you're not going to use the vibration, for desktop use for instance :) -

Warthog stick works erratically
harf4ng replied to harf4ng's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I managed to get an exchange for my defective warthog, so I'll get a new one in a few days. Guess in a few months I'll buy a gunfighter, and either sell my warthog, or maybe try to buy a left handed grip if I can find one, and use the gunfighter and warthog as a dual stick ^^ (though for space sims, not for dcs) -
So when will this new version be out? :) Something that could be great as well would be a standalone app, I mean one that does not require to have a copy in each dcs world version folder, and that let us choose if we want to launch the normal or alpha version ^^ So we would have only one dcs updater gui app to launch both versions... And thanks again for this wonderful utility ^^ PS: an idea would be also that when you click on "launch dcs" it automatically closes this GUI, not just minimizing it. Today I noticed I forgot to close it with multiple dcs world launches and I had several instances running...

I did. And now windows does not see the stick anymore :) About gunfighter, I saw that we will be able to replace the grip by the warthog one. Wonder what will be better between the gunfighter grip (that will be the one of the gladiator) and the warthog one... Wonder as well WHEN this gunfighter will be available... -
