I didn’t have this issue on the f18. I did have it on the f15 and this trick worked. Make a backup of the input folder under the f18 folder in your saved games before you try it. If it doesn’t work you can quickly revert back to the original. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ll tell you that the best bit of advice was to follow another thread and delete my shaders, the fx folder and to do a repair and cleanup. I then wiped the config file and let DCS rebuild it. Yes, it took almost an hour to get the settings back to where I was happy, but I’m back at being able to join MP servers and have fun again. I know this is slightly off topic, but for those that can join this server, can you tell me what your rig setup is? I’ve been really frustrated since 2.5 went into beta as I can’t join any MP server due to the memory leak. Joining this server DCS uses 15 gig of memory and then crashes. I don’t have a slouch of a rig by any stretch, but was curious what hardware seems to be the “winning” combination to get onto Blue Flag. Appreciate any input, even if that’s a DM to me to avoid cluttering up the thread. Or I am an idiot and just now realized that my date/time on my PC wasnt set correctly, which was caused the certificate error... Time to get a new battery for the motherboard... LOL! TJ

Getting these errors when attempting to download the update: STATUS: Downloading version info... ERROR: Conection to server '1231349722.rsc.cdn77.org' failed: SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK ERROR: Servers are unable to complete your request. Please, try again later. If ED did not pull the hotfix, is there a way I can connect to a different server to try and authenticate to? TJ

Any news on this? The new Hotfix3 did not resolve the memory issue - still maxing out at 16 gig. I'd love to be able to play online again and havent been able to since 2.5 went to beta. I do see tons of others online though, is there a secret to getting online in 2.5 with the memory leak? Or do these peeps just have 32gig (or more) of memory and its not an issue? TJ

Good grief, if you want to be upset, be upset that the whole road and town that sits right off the end of Rwy 31 at Batumi is missing. The E70 snakes around to the north there and its all missing in your picture. But, as others have stated, that isnt even remotely unrealistic. We pilots face far worse IRL that that little tree at the end of the runway. TJ

I think Simple Radio is the culprit here. Once you pull people out of teamspeak, and now they can only talk in the cockpit when they are alive, you loose a lot of coordination. I really wish more people would sit in teamspeak and use SR. A both at the same time thing. Not a one or the other. But, I agree that downsizing the mission is needed. We need different angles to attack from. You need all the space of this mission with less objectives. Not every air base has to be a capture-able. I’d like to see more defensive units at airbases and maybe less units at farps but more deadly units. I dunno. It feels kind of easy now. Maybe I’m just too used to it. Why dont you just delete the install and leave your saved games folder intact? Then when you download 2.5 and install, wont you still have everything left over (like your bindings, scores, missions, etc) from the saved games folder? TJ

Any chance we could get some of the functions of this plane able to be saved in the "Prepare Mission" function? Even QNE settings would be a step in the right direction, although I'd love to be able to set commands in the nav computer too. I cant seem to get anything to save, even hud position or slave switch. :( Appreciate all you guys do. TJ

Were you able to confirm? 2.2 seems to be working AOK- was curious if what you found broken in 1.5.8 would impact 2.2 - or as someone else pointed out, if temperature is the culprit and the rocket training mission in 1.5.8 is cold and my test in 2.2 is more 'normal' temp. Thanks for all you do! TJ

After experimenting around quite a bit, definitely broken in 1.5.8 but not in 2.2 The "Merge" cant get here fast enough. TJ

Someone created an awesome mission for the a10c, search for Tank Busting or Tank Buster. Something along those lines. The mission starts at dark but by the time you arrive to target it’s early twilight and you can watch the ground change from black to red to yellow. OK- Im being a bloody idiot. How do you easily find lat/long for the IPs? I know I can hover my cursor over them in mission editor, but that requires me to flip back and forth and is a real pain in the behind. Im trying to create some basic "learn the Viggen" missions in NTTR and I cant figure out how to convert the IPs to lat/long for input into the computer. TJ Yep- Im a bloody idiot. OK- Help a new guy with the mission editor out- I see in the editor where you turned all the threats off (1 Once (TGT and FAC AI off, No Event). Can you turn "ON" a range? Ideally I'd like to use the F10 options to enable specific ranges, or I could set trigger zones I guess so when I fly in an area that range turns on. Is anyone else doing this or are you just using these for static target practice? TJ

I’m not sure why this is the most annoying thing ever. It’s not like this server is running planes that have incapable radars. If we all fought in f5s, ok I’d give this to you. But the f15, m2k and su27 (the only a2a planes I fly) have more than capable radars able to IFF a long ways out and give you plenty of time to sneak into your pray. Id love for the Huey to have fifty percent fuel and door gunners only (no front guns.) Some of the mountainous farps require you to unload the default load out just to climb out- especially now that damage modeling is on for the heuy turbine. I miss the mi8 on both sides (it’s so fast!) PS: equipping the door gunners on the Huey makes quick work of the infantry on the ground. Most times. :) TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
