[NOT A BUG] JDAM 0 meter or 0 foot elevation bug (ctd) The below was previously marked "not a bug" for reasons unknown and the thread locked. A 0 foot/meter elevation (and even a minus elevation) is completely possible with this weapon. Should we never wish to attack Netherlands (below sea level!), Australia, various cities in the United States, Argentina, Egypt, etc etc etc. The planners of this weapon surely must have devised it to be capable of hitting sea level and below. If this really "is not a bug" can you please explain. In preplanned mode (PP) with a zero foot or zero meter elevation, you cannot "box" the PP1/PP2/PP3/PP4/PP5 boxes. Steps to reproduce: Stores box the J82 efuz to instant jdam display qty, select station, rtn msn ufc tgt elev, feet, 0 (target is ship), ent, posn, select lat, 2, 241648, ent, 21 ent, verify coordinates, select lon, 6, 543047 ent 06 ent verify coordinates. Expected Result At this point as the coordinates are valid, the PP1 box with an X through it should turn into a box (the X should remove) Actual Result X does not remove from box Workaround Enter an elevation of 1 foot - verify that cross is now removed from PP1 box See attached Mission is a homemade mission Persian Gulf theater Single Player Latest Open Beta (no mods) TJ -

[REPORTED] JDAM TOO Mode not correctly using coordinates from waypoint?

It sounds very much like this issue... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=242762 I bet this persons TOO mode is way off because he has the same issue I do (where the coordinates in TOO mode do not match the coordinates in the waypoint) TJ -
I must be doing something wrong. When I enter precise coordinates into my waypoint, then waypoint designate the waypoint and go over to the JDAM in TOO mode, the coordinates do not match (and the JDAM misses the target.) What am I doing wrong - ive watched Wags video on this probably three times and I cant find something I am doing wrong, but the coordinates do not carry over to the JDAM correctly. If it matters, its an air start. See attached picture of the HSI waypoint coordinates (you have to take my word that this is the waypoint I target designated) and then compare them to the coordinates the JDAM has displayed on the screen in TOO mode. It didnt matter if I moved from TOO1 to TOO2, the coordinates remained the same. :( What am I doing wrong? TJ

This most likely confirms it - anytime I change my loadout I find that the jet pitches up hard on takeoff. I found that resetting, then running the FCS bit test, then trimming for T/O resolves this issue. I don’t know why or the mechanics involved but give it a shot. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You aren’t running the FCS bit test. If you don’t do this (in my experience) the jet will pitch up hard on takeoff. Get in the habit of resetting, then running the bit test then pressing your trim button. Good luck. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I installed the hotfix today and every time I launch an 54C DCS crashes so hard no log files are written. RTX 2060? I use the Gigabyte Mini RTX 2060. On single monitor 1920x1080 I get over 100fps in the F14. On triple monitor 5280(?)x1080 I get 45ish with the gpu maxed at 100 percent. Terrain textures are low to conserve memory but everything else is maxed. CPU is a 4770k OCd to 4.2ghz. Gpu is running stock, although I use MSI afterburner to increase the power limit to max (that impacts how the card automatically boosts, but I’m not tweaking anything else.) I went from a 780ti to a 2060- so I felt a lot of improvements. I’m not sure that 10 series folks are going to see any major improvements. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

F14 - air refueling - I find it easier to refuel with the wing folded

Your higher angle of attack from the reduced lift of swept wings at slow speeds may provide less control authority which you are relating to as “more stable and easier to refuel.” You may be moving the stick the same amount, but because of the reduced control authority the ship moves less which makes it (ironically) easier to refuel. Pure speculation on my part- I’ve no idea how it’s modeled, but that was the first thing that popped into my head. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

That explains why the sa19 doesn’t give launch warnings. The previous chap posted a link and it talked about the radar of the sa19 using TWS to track up to nine contacts with the ability to launch on 3 or 4 (the documentation said “3 or 4” like the authors weren’t exactly sure of the #.) Since the RWR also doesn’t provide range info (the sa19 will shoot you out of the sky while it stays on the outside of the rwr lethal zone ring), how does one stay outside of its WEZ? SA-19 no MWS or lock on warning? I’ve been launched on plenty of times, almost always receive the launch warning in the f18. What actually started this thread is that I’d get the launch warning with the sa13 but not the sa19. Maybe it’s not technically called MLWS, but it definitely gets your attention. As suspected, error existed between keyboard and chair. Fuzing must be set to off for the LGBs. Thread cleaned up to keep clutter to minimum. TJ

You having same issue? TJ EDIT- Hey, if you pull the track that is in that same google folder, its from prior to the beta when I was showing others how to employ LBGs against a heavily defended target.

I know- i saw that when I did search- unfortunately it doesnt answer my question. For those who read my initial post... There, he is getting the fuzing options - I am unable to fuze until I drop the center tank. Once center tank is dropped, Nose fuzing is not selectable. DUD is not removed and bombs will not drop. This is reproducible. Track to follow - ive dropped the multiplayer server so I can create my own mission to test this and show how to reproduce. TJ

Ok, what am I doing wrong? Master Arm ON AG mode selected Im flying... GO to stores page Select 82LG in the top left of stores only MFD button that then becomes available is "STEP" I do not get the normal buttons for UFC to change code, etc Funny story - I ran out of fuel in the drop tank while circling the target, dropped the drop tank and now I get all the MFD buttons. Can we not drop bombs with a drop tank on? TJ

In the mission editor when you create a mission there is a prepare mission function available. Using that function will allow you to set cockpit settings and such, which most modules then allow you to save in the mission file so when someone else plays it the same in cockpit settings are seen. If you move Viggen to NATO, then the other side has no swift striker. NATO has f18 and Harrier as quick attack strikers. Viggen tries to equalize that. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
