  1. would greatly appreciate a link to the version history page on the git in the online manual, for quick reference; TYVM!
  2. Feature Request for Manual: Please include some sort of very basic changelog for new material or large reworks. Obviously a notation of every spelling error corrected or other small edits would not really have much benefit, but being able to check the online version for updates, and see which sections have new/updated material would be great for people trying to keep up with the aircraft as post-release development continues. Keep up the good work Heatblur.
  3. how to tell if airbrake is deployed? turn your head?
  4. I think this is what solved my issue. yes i was having a separate blue screen issue outside of DCS that completely went away when i turned expo back on. (this was after i solved the issue that was causing these specific crashes)
  5. I am in north america, i just didnt want the windows bloatware on my install.
  6. i have an rtx 4090, 64gb ram @ 6ghz cl30, everything except motion blur is turned to max including 1.5x supersampling. I'm getting 180 fps pinned on multithreading on enigma's coldwar syria, every once in a while it will dip to 170. yes im fully aware of the issue, I am actually working with GN on the stuff. I am testing the asus 1303 bios, the latest "production" bios
  7. no mods, this was a full vanilla install on a PC i built less than a week ago. Also, do you think you could be so kind as to translate the crash jargon to something approaching english? EDIT: I am running win11 N, and have recently run into issues with other games because of a lack of "Media Feature Pack". Since installing that i have not had another crash @Flappie, it may be a fix........unsure as of now.
  8. log files attached, similar circumstances, in server for prolonged period on MP. dcs.log-20230503-125311.zip dcs.log-20230504-155217.zip
  9. Hey buddy, call this a tentative fix, but i think i solved my issue, and i encourage you to try the same fix. I reverted my Nvidia drivers a full version (Current is 531.XX) back to February's drivers (528.XX).
  10. my 6 year old build is on its last legs, (8700k, 1080ti, ROG maximus formula board, 32GB RAM, custom water loop). I am totally at a loss between a 13900k build and a 7800X3D build, the delta in price is about $300-$400 higher for intel. I am unfamiliar with the intricacies of modern AMD builds so i am somewhat hesitant; while intel seems to always be pretty trouble-free and bring satisfactory performance. Can anyone give me some advice, or show some DCS benchmark comparisons for the 13900k vs the modern X3D chips?
  11. I am getting similar hard crashes, wont even make a crash file because the system locks solid, have to restart via long press on power button.
  12. pretty sure thats just going into the WEP area of the throttle without the MW-50 switched on, for the 1.7 ATA setting. But i am just speculating, i thought i had a copy of the Dora Teil 0 handy but only the ta-152.
  13. yeah, you are literally beating the ever living <profanity> out of that engine..... you slam in and out of high boost throttle positions like its afterburner in a 4th gen jet....bad for engine you run the temps at redline or above redline constantly....bad for engine you fly at low airspeeds with elevated temps and the throttle pinned....bad for engine you allow little to no cooldown time at combat or max continuous between big stints in MW-50....bad for engine when you are not in MW-50, you are at 3250 RPM and 1.7 ATA....(see above) This isn't a mystery. null
  14. let me see if i can collect a track for you. most of mine have been on longer multiplayer sessions, and i know you guys hate dealing with 40+minute tracks
  15. hey Hobel, just curious if you have any update on this... tired of hitting fast mover with 2+ igla's only to show no signs of damage.
  16. we would need real radar simulations in order for the F-4G to be viable. For example, part of the back seat electronics include what is essentially an oscilloscope to view the waveform of any radar being seen by the EW suite, and you can dynamically select any of them on the fly. If you want to get an idea of how poorly suited the F-4G would be to the current version of DCS:World, take a look at this:

    system failures

+1 damage model and systems failures are things that seem to be chronically overlooked in DCS modules in favor of "moar JDAMS" or whatever silly thing the community seems to want for a given module
  18. thanks @Naquaii , @IronMike and the rest of heatblur for your diligence and commitment to realism bordering on obsession, this is the <profanity> that gets sim nerds like me excited.
  19. i attempted a few autolandings earlier this week, it appeared if my deviation from centered needles was too great, i would run into a situation similar to what you are describing, see if you can get perfectly held needles and a DME inside ~6.0 then give it another go.
  20. i think its just a function that is not present in early access at this time. But yes it would've been nice of them to mention that, because it has led to much confusion
  21. seems to be working as intended, this is not a modern engine with a FADEC, and has obvious limitations (many of which are stipulated in the manual).
