  1. Thanks Johnny!! You da man!! I didn't know that those files were the same as saved profiles. Makes things much easier!
  2. A few weeks ago I upgraded my MB, CPU, GFX and installed a fresh copy of Windows 10. The game runs awesome now! I had DCS.openbeta installed on my C drive, and had backed up my \Config\Input folder from my C SavedGames folder. However, the new Windows created new GUIDs for all the controllers. So I fixed that and renamed all of the .diff.lua files to have the new GUIDs. But now it seems that the buttons are all mapped to the wrong button. When I look in the .diff.lua files I see that it looks like each hardware button has some type of key also, and I suppose that changed also?? Argg... ["keyDiffs"] = { ["d238pnilunilcdnilvdnilvpnilvunil"] = { ["added"] = { [1] = { ["key"] = "JOY_BTN3", }, }, ["name"] = "Pilot Salute", }, ["d261pnilunilcdnilvdnilvpnilvunil"] = { ["added"] = { [1] = { ["key"] = "JOY_BTN25", }, }, ["name"] = "All Labels", How can I get each button (d238pnilunilcdnilvdnilvpnilvunil) assigned to the correct button again? Or is there an easier way to fix this?? Or am I screwed and have to manually remap all of my aicraft's buttons??
  3. It means they can't fix it at this time. Too much is involved.
  4. Strange... but SSA does seem to remembering it's position now. Even after rebooting.. But not the size. The Play button would at least get you very close, wouldn't it? I get 2 popups for that path issue, but SSA seems to work. My version is 2.2.0.0. I was having BSOD when trying to setup 5.1 and ASIO. But I think I fixed that by select only the Output option in ASIO4ALL for VB AUX. I did just get a .Net Error, followed by an Application error in the event Viewer. The SSM just disappeared from the screen, but it was not a BSOD, so that's improvement. Not sure what caused it. ASIO was the recent problem... Have you seen many other users using the 5.1 option and ASIO4ALL?
  5. I recently restored my pc and installed Stable SSM and SSA. I also get this error and will wait for the next stable release if that will fix it? I was also wondering if it would be possible to add 2 features to SSA. Would it be possible to restore the SSA window always to the last x/y location on the screen and also the width/height. I think I had it restore the the same location once, but that may have been when the systray icon was still in the tray, and I started SSA twice? Would it be possible to add a 'Play' icon on the Effect Settings tab, next to each effect, so we could test each effects volume without having to go into DCS and try to make all of the effects happen for all aircraft? (some are hard and very time consuming to make happen (and it's also hard to balance them all together from within the sim). And an option to let them loop(engine rumble, etc) while you test some of the others at the same time. I know this may be asking a lot. But if you don't ask, you don't get.
  6. I'm new to this. And I don't see anywhere in the Install Instructions that I need to do this? Is this required??
  7. With this newly released large update... this bug continues to exist, year after year. I think I first reported this in 2018, but couldn't find the original thread. The sad thing is that this is 'low-hanging fruit'. It would probably take 20 minutes to fix. No need to point these out. Guess i should never put my Visor up at night.
  8. Thanks, yes I do have the OVR Toolkit. I'll look in there tomorrow and see what I can find.
  9. Just got my G2, and havent played VR in a while. I added DCS to my Steam Games to make it easy to launch. When I launch DCS I get this message everytime: Re-center your view until the windows are in the correct position It says to press R on the keyboard and then press Enter. Pressing R does nothing. Pressing Enter gets rid of this message. How can I stop it from appearing in the first place?
  10. I know people have complained about this a while ago. Is there any fix to make the exported viewports brighter?
  11. Does anybody else know what this is for?
  12. Thanks, I just went into Device Manager under 'Human Interface Devices' and right-clicked on 'Thrustmaster T300RS Racing Wheel (USB)' and selected 'Disable Device' and that did fix it. But ED is going to fix this? Correct???? Because Next time I go to use my Racing Wheel I will surely forget that I did this.
  13. Same here. I have done a repair and there are no mods installed. Also, turned off my Kaspersky Protection... The log shows nothing.. dcs.log-20201104-182932.zip dcs.log-20201104-182932.zip
  14. I don't use the Steam version. But here is what I know.. I am not sure what the Steam File Integrity thing does. But I don't thing it repairs DCS.. Again, I don't know.. To do a repair in DCS I just put a parameter on the end of the Shortcut's target: That may work for you. It checks all game files and makes sure they are correct. "D:\My Programs\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" repair DCS has changed over the years and the sound files are in either the Sounds folder, or in the specific aircraft's Mod folder. ...DCS World\Sounds\Effects ...DCS World\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C\Sounds Not sure about the WW2 radio files unless they are in specific aircraft folders, like the M-2000c is..
  15. I would do a repair. Search for DCS Repair.
  16. Thanks for the reply. I just tried turning that icon on and off for several buttons to see if snapped or alligned with each other or did not. It made no difference that I could see.
  17. Can't find an answer to this.. Not even Google knows..
  18. Started playing with Helios 1.6 and Capt Zeen's awesome profiles a few days ago and everything is working great. But today I noticed that the Emergency/Parking Brake handle will not 'Pull' out. I can only get it to rotate. But if I use the Brake Lever in the F/A-18c cockpit it pull out just fine in the DCS Cockpit and also in the Helios profile... How do you 'Pull' the Brake lever out in the profile?? Thanks!
  19. Done! Thanks, that fixed it.
  20. What's wrong with this picture? I just installed Helios 1.6 yesterday and it was working fine until 5 minutes ago. For some reason the Control Center starts minimized to the taskbar. And when I click on it I get only 1/3rd of it's window. I can drag it around and click on the buttons I can see, but how do I fix the window to be the correct size??
  21. Just updated the SimAppPro Add-In DCS Cockpit Editor. I was trying to fit things the way I want and needed to have one item underneath another, but it was always on top of it. Is there any way to re-order the layers of these cockpit items?

61, I've been playing with flight Sims since 1988. Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk
  23. Well, I used to use 'bands' or some other feature of the Saitek Profiler Software with my X55 Throttle to send the Increase/Decrease commands for Lights and rotaries. But I cannot figure out or find documentation on the WinWing Key Mapping Software. I started using RSMapper(from these forums) which is good and easy to use, but it doesn't handle these rotaries. I am looking into vJoy now. I don't really want to mod the game for this. I'd prefer to find one general solution to Key, Axis, Rotary, etc.. issues..
  24. I have the WinWing Taurus Throttle and it has rotaries for some lights. Can you please add some axis for rotaries like the lights? Thanks.
  25. I'm pretty sure that I fixed this today. I found some info indicating this may be due to Overclocking your graphics card. I've had mine overclocked at the same settings for a long time. But I think something changed in DCS a while ago.. maybe with the lighting? I turned my Overclocking off and was able to fly for an hour with no problems. Before I the game would crash in 5-10 minutes.
