  1. What is most interesting, Besides the Cobra, is the wind effect upon the trees! I have not seen this before! The further away, the less the effect. Nice! It sure looks like he was having fun!
  2. The Russia pack is 9.26 GB. DL speed 30 to 37 mb per second for me. Taking about three minutes,. Download is working for me. Has UN-zipped correctly without errors. I have a fast internet connection. YMMV Now WHERE is the BEAR! Targets for the weekend! Thanks for this!\ and all you do for us! Great addition! Saves me the trouble of making it myself! Cheers!   4. Reversed normal's in the model. Had a similar issue. Currwnthill explained to me about how to switch them from from back to front. Done in Max. Using a tool. Do not remember at present the work flow, or tool. Worth a look/try. Ask Him. how to do this. He is always willing to help. I remember you must not select two sided texture to do the edit.
  5. There have been many reports of carrier ops issues with the last few patches/up-dates. Look around the forums. The A-4 and SU-30 and a few others are causing issues. If I had known that they would be this persistent, I would have stayed with 2.8 Two patches after the main patch later....Still broken. I am sure ED will get it all sorted. My advise is to NOT up date yet. Wait till they fix the carrier bugs. Newy Knows. I made a bug report. See the DCS section of the forums.

  11. @Urbi The issue you describe is related to the code assignment of the wheel position. Since a few patches ago, this was not a issue. All you need to do is swap the front and rear gear code. It will place the front wheels at the cat. But this does not fix the underlying issue of a stalled aircraft. @BIGNEWY I test with minimal mods installed. Just the ED carrier mod, to allow the WWII birds to use the carriers, and the mod aircraft. I use the ED carriers to be sure. I can still post my logs if they might help. This only affects the prop aircraft. Jets are fine, As Eddie states above.

  13. I am sad to report, The last few patches have caused havoc with the Islands. ai aircraft will no longer take off. Or from any carrier. If you try this with the new Merchant Carrier, you will see what I mean. I will wait for this issue to be addressed in a up coming patch before any further re;leases shall take place. Thanks for understanding.
  14. As the title states. Using the ED created aircraft carrier mod,. add any prop ai aircraft via the saved games location. Spawn the ai on deck. All looks as it should so far. the deck crew get to the spinning hand gesture, but never finish with the launch gesture. The ai aircraft pops up like it is ready to launch, and sits there, with its engine running. This is the same with any prop aircraft mod. I have not tested and FC3 mods yet. Notice the wheels spawn in the incorrect position? This is new behavior. I changed the wheel location in the lua which fixed that issue, But she still will not launch from the ED carrier. Or any other carrier but one or two. And those are not quite right with strange runway behavior. This is all new since the last few patches. I hope the fix is a easy one! @BIGNEWY The report, as requested. If you want logs, or a mission and / or track, I will supply them. Thanks for the help!
  15. @BIGNEWY Might you report that any prop aircraft can no longer take off from any carrier? Either a mod, or the ED CVN I used the ED carrier mod, created by ED for this purpose. The P-47 will spawn fine. At the cat location. But then it just sits there, engine running. It never launches. This all worked fine prior to the last round of patches. And I would like to mirror the comments above. You have been a god send to modders with your reporting to the Devs. Thank you! The new Helicopter code works a treat! Gear is working!

  17. It the standard skin works, it is a livery issue. The missing texture is not declared correctly. If the standard does not, the texture may be missing, or corrupted.

  21. I have seen these shadows caused by one texture or object touching another, causing a conflict. The same or different does not matter Move the objects apart a tiny bit so there is a gap between them

  23. There is a F-8 in progress. A Virtavia Vought F-8 Crusader with the authors permission to port to DCS. Once ready, @TeTeT will get a copy to test! With thanks to @Spino for getting the permissions. and converting the textures to DDS format.
